Not likely, since that would turn your whole attempt at farming too expansive and unsustainable as a business model. There is a reason why majority of farms that are privately owned are worked almost solely by their owners or immidiate family.

There are inheritance and land taxes even in current society, I don`t think that your family could hold that small farm up even for one generation under capitalism.

Turn it into a family owned business instead. Granted a lot of people DON'T do so which does in fact fuck them over when someone dies, but it is possible if you have any foresight whatsoever.

If current markets are indicators of anything future of farming would be based on farmlands owned by big cooperations that would delicate their production to subcontractors(at least in case of China).

I'm thinking you guys are looking forward to something along the lines of agrarian reform, which is needed. You must remember, some people are attached to the Earth and taking that away isn't right nor will it be peaceful. OP, quit being a cuck. If you do not want to be "collectivized", don't be. When a Family owns a parcel of land, it becomes one with the Family. Most ethnic groups are described by the areas they lived in, where they took root. This is exactly why agrarian reform probably will not work.

Their ownership of it in the first place isn't right. Trace any property transfer back far enough and you get "it's mine because i say so."
