That ultimately makes him out to be a hypocritical piece of shit that's willing to risk Earth's destruction just because he's unwilling to get along with family when he's supposed to be all about getting along with strangers. Each SU storyline has their glaring flaws, especially in CYM, and I guess the entertainment value was there for the movie that wasn't with the others.
