Pretty much this. When you look at our progress towards going to Mars, it's pretty apparent that SpaceX will be the first organization to start colonizing it which obviously is a pretty large corporation. If capitalism isn't fought on Earth then Mars will just be an extension of the politics on Earth–controlled by the exact same people (bourgeoisie.)

Mars isn't an habitable planet. A third of earth's gravity and so unable to retain an atmosphere, no significant magnetosphere for protection against cosmic rays, significantly less sunlight, etc.

Read Zizek's 'Violence', specifically the part about 'liberal communists'. There's also the article of Chomsky about 'socialism for the rich, capitalism for the poor'.
This poster gets it. The first colonizers of Mars will have to live under communism to survive and thrive there. When the population is big enough and isn't made up of exclusively rich people, it will become capitalist just as Earth.
