5 of my favorites are Venusaur, Gardevoir, Blaziken, Dodrio, and Altaria. They aren't my five favorite Pokemon overall, because I can't really name a favorite Pokemon when I like so many of them.
Erika/Sabrina for Gen 1, none of the Gen 2 girls were good, Flannery in Gen 3, Mars and Cynthia in Gen 4, Elesa and Shauntel in Gen 5, Hex Maniac in Gen 6, and Mallow in gen 7.

You get Gen 2's starters with Island Scan in Sun/Moon.
Cyndaquil appears in Route III by using Island Scan on Melemele Island (I forgot what day to use Island Scan for Cyndaquil though), Cyndaquil's either Level XI or Level XII when you find it, and it knows Double Kick.
