I'm never listening to nomination polls again

...

PLEASE NOT BIDEN. NO MORE NEOLIBERALS.

FUCK.

Christ these idiots are fucking insane.

...

The Biden memes were to hype him up.

/r/thanksobama is also to hype him up as not that bad when he's not even a liberal.

twitter.com/SenSanders/status/808831643012059137

Reddit is an echo chamber of corporate and political shills and their confused useful idiots.

The fact that they even register at all is telling me this poll was skewed. I cant think of a bigger disappointment than Al Fakeshit. They always call land line phones to do these polls, meaning they probably skew older and will target less Sanders voters.

...

Holy shit they are never getting back in power. If only Sanders wasn't such a loser he might actually stand a chance against them.

Good, the Democratic Party was a mistake. The sooner we disassociate from it, the better. Bernie should leave and start a new party.

OMFG this is too good, what's the sauce on this?

Quit fucking focusing on Sanders. He already sold out to Hillary Clinton, he is NOT one of us. Anyone within the bourgeois parliamentary system of politics will NEVER be one of us. Revolution is the only way forward comrades.

Bernie and Warren are splitting the non-centrist vote. Put them together and they beat biden.

this.
He's running for Congress as Independent already.
Just make a new "Progressive Party" like Teddy's and build from there, they can even make coalitions with the Dems when they really need to, there's no excuse for Bipartidarism.

Fuck Elizabeth Warren. It's retarded how excited people get about her. Bernie is 1000x better.

That's great. Can you convince or at least tell a few hundred million Americans that right now?

archive.is/Uj6wa

Oh I absolutely agree, but the fact remains that most people only have a vague understanding that she's relatively left.

Not right now, things have to get worse in the United States before they can get better. That's why I voted for Trump. It's like having the jester on the throne. He makes a joke of the presidency and that brings legitimacy to any revolution.

She won't attach herself to Bernie. She's not a really left wing. She’s just an opportunist.

Which is why I said "relatively" left and "most people."

Yeah bro it's not like millions of people are going to lose their health care because of your decision! Oh and let's not forget the rampant sexism that his election has normalized. That's cool too bro right? I mean it's not like it affects us white males so fuck go full steam ahead.

...

Bernie just pretended to be a socialist to scam naive people. You are a retard if you trust him again

Go back to reddit, faggot.

Jimmy Dore: "Hey you want to see Elizabeth Warren's article on NoDAPL?"

Jimmy Dore: "Me too"

Trump hasn't crashed this economy with no survivors yet with his ridiculous neo-mercantilist policies
Just wait a months and I guarantee the population will be at least Bernie's level, if not even more
Or Trump goes back on his promises which causes the altright to fade away, leaving the far left to pick up the disenfranchised radical independents

...

Fuck healthcare you gigantic faggot. You'd rather put a band aid on the issues facing the proletariat instead of dealing with the real problem. You're a typical fucking socdem.
You are liberal trash.

Sanders was down 48 points on Clinton at this point in the 2016 election cycle.

will the election talk ever end ? this one really was draining

Yeah, those worked out great for you, democrats

why are you faggots so hyphy over getting some succdems in power?

It's widely believed that Sanders would accelerate the growth of the left through sheer awareness of his platform.

I think he's done that already though, his entire campaign was run on bringing that to light, and it failed. You're gonna have to wait at least until 2020.

Well you can look at tit two ways. You either want things to get worse and hope the "acceleration meme" is true or hope small change will come about from a political/economic system you don't care much for. I don't have much hope for the Bernie's and the Corbyn's of the world but I wish them the best for now.

Friendly reminder Bernie Sanders is going to be 79 in 2020..

Right, because people are going to be able to spend time building socialism while also wallowing in medical debt that they can't pay off and starving.

I'm actually kind of horrified by the levels of human suffering all you impossiblists are willing to countenance on the offchance that it pokes something off. Sure, the system is shitty, but that doesn't change the fact that there's literally no upside to deliberately making it worse.

Trump is also notably going to take a complete run at organized labour, which will make our organizing job that much harder, and the Republicans will likely do a bunch of voter deregistration later on which favours their particularly reactionary base.

Also, on a more practical bent have you ever noticed that successful revolutions are built on the back of reformist failure? Lenin could only do Russia because the February Revolution and previous constitutionalist movements had laid the groundwork, and the Chinese Revolution came as the Communists played off the failures of liberalism. Even in Cuba, Fidel came to power only after Batista turned away from friendship with labour and democracy and went full reactionary. Of course there are other examples, but typically they're pushed along by pre-existing socialist states. We seem to be lacking in those.

Liberals suck, but voting in reactionaries to rattle things up will literally only make it worse.

IMO this is only because he's a visible name right now, but it will fade away during Trump's presidency. Dems will probably end up throwing their support behind Corey Brooker.

So, in 2012?

Jimmy 'stand with the poor' Dore

You realize Trump has backed away from actually repealing any individual policy of the ACA in any meaningful sense, and been pushing for a lot of further advancements we already want like transparency, demonopolization, and price negotiation, right? About the only part of the ACA that he's likely to repeal is the individual mandate, and the only truly harmful thing he's proposed is block grants:

Trump might finally strip the Republicans of their anti-union fanaticism, and energize both parties to pay attention to labor again.

The Republicans were already rigging and Gerrymandering before the election under Obama, and they would've continued unabated under Shillary clear to the census in 2020. We need to mount challenges in state and local governments, which seems to be exactly what Trump is causing Democrats to do.

Yeah, Sanders has made it okay to call yourself a socialist in America for the first time in 60 years. That's yuuge.

This.

I don't remember being asked to participate in this poll.

I don't know user. He looks like he isn't aging well. Will he still be fit to run in 4 years?

I mean yeah, he's better than Clinton, Trump or almost any other possible candidate, but sometimes it feels like you guys think Bernie is some sort of socialist when he clearly isn't.

This. Even if he is fit to run in 2020, the danger presented by the fact that younger successors to carry the torch haven't stepped up yet is substantial.

Sanders was a nobody representing the 8th most Bumfuck state in the country (behind Alabama, just edging out Maine), and he was the target of a relentless, often absurdly over the top smear and blackout campaign from the entire media, and he was running against the Heir Apparent and proespective First Female President (women constitute a decent majority of the electorate).

Sanders shouldn't have even been a blip on the radar, let alone still in the running halfway through the primaires. The fact that he made it as far as he did was proof of the strength of his policies and that Hillary was DOA.

...

The only way you purge the neolibs is by losing in 2018, bringing the democrats to such a low point with so much pressure on them it cant be ignored

Yes he is a socialist.

Democracy means public ownership of the major means of production, it means decentralization, it means involving people in their work. Rather than having bosses and workers it means having democratic control over the factories and shops to as great a degree as you can." - Bernie Sanders

feels good man

I mean, people shit on the republicans for being old, but after romney lost they infused the party with young blood (for politics anyways) like paul ryan and marco rubio.
The top of the DNC, seems to be a bunch of old out of touch neolibs trying to hold onto power and money

I know >polls and all, but I actually believe it, the Democrats are this retarded.

Obamacare took a bad situation and made it worse, used to be that poor people would go to the hospital and be unable to pay so the government would reimburse the hospital, which is, more or less, medicare without explicitly calling it medicare. Now it's a clusterfuck where the middle class is forced to shovel whatever petty savings they have into their hot new Obamacare premiums or pay their Obamacare fine. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Jump off a roof, you're everything wrong not only with the "left" but with the country.

He is too old now, you americans really don't have any other socialist there?

Can I get an example of "reactionary articles"?

Your opinion is worthless.

t. triggered liberal

t. clueless teenager who thinks this shit is a video game

He took a lot of heat for this one article about refugees. Can't find the link, sorry.

vs

Thanks for Correcting the Record, comrade.

bum blistered bernie babby detected

That's worked out so nicely since the 1970s

Food stamps are a great way of solving this issue

Multi-billions in student loan debt for literally pure profit price hikes sure isn't a bubble about to burst

Sure am loving how either option is getting more expensive to offer the same thing

youtube.com/watch?v=jeZ1vMc6CNQ

I bet those people in Bangkok sure do love those $0.26/hr wages! We are true heroes of the working class!

it's better than nothing, no? why do you think they CHOOSE to work those jobs.

eh, ill get a tax cut out of it. those blue collar workers in the rust belt will probably be crying when they lose healthcare and a myriad of worker protections.

Because if they didn't they would starve? How is this not voluntary slavery again?

yes, and they wouldn't even have those jobs without globalization. people like bernie lament the decline of jobs in manufacturing, but they ignore that those jobs are helping people who are truly destitute in other countries survive.

...

It's amazing that virtue-signaling leftists today are bleating out this kind of apologia, even though it's word-for-word identical to arguments once made in support of slavery and colonial conquest.

Even more ironic considering there are speculated to be more slaves toiling under "liberating transnational capitalism" in Africa today than at the height of antebellum American slavery.

It wouldn't surprise me if in 50 years that it would be more than 1/4 of the world is a slave of some kind and there would still be 'leftists' claiming at least its better than nothing

...

yeah, they can clearly do so much better on their own. that's why they choose to take those jobs.

globalization has lifted millions of people out of poverty.

yaleglobal.yale.edu/content/little-notice-globalization-reduced-poverty

...

fixed that for you

has nothing to do with stupidity. they're poor and dont have resources. it's why they choose to work those jobs.

globalization has saved countless from starvation.

Its also saved countless live by installing suicide nets outside the windows of factories

Just because they are lifted out of poverty doesn't mean that their problems are solved
Do you have any idea how dangerous those jobs can be ?

...

...

...

Much as I despise CostCo for their typical chainstore practice of selling vertically integrated "brands" of nonlocal commodities and displacing local businesses, they do have one single virtue to distinguish them from Walmart/Sam's Club: They're unionized, with consequently somewhat less horrible conditions and pay.

Who is the Holla Forums candidate? Stein or Bernie?

Is he, dare I say, /our guy/?

see WEBM you fucking retard
He's from VERMONT

Hahahah. Face it, you got played.

And then you got played again with Stein

I have never seen a candidate cuck harder in my life. Hopefully we can get someone else for 2020

...

dunno why everyone keep sating this.

the polls were not wrong, Hillary did won the popular vote withing the margin of error those polls had.

it almost certainly will not. also, people will be jerking off to the useless polls the whole time. Not only that, but people are worrying about 2020 when 2018 will be the real battle for dems if they want to do anything at all.

oh boy

Yeah, for the popular vote. The exit polls for individual states were hugely off.

She really didn't when you account for all the voter fraud.

sauce?

wasn't the republican party supposed to be the party for the people?

I don't give a fuck about local businesses if I can a hotdog for a $1.70 with a drink

This and they start pay at around $13-$14 an hour because of unionization?

That's more like it tbh. Fuck petit bourgeoise, they'll charge $5 for an apple.

We pay no more than 400€ for uni per year where I live. 10€ if you are a poorfag.
I don't understand why you are so cucked, America. I get it, MIT and Stanford are top notch, but studying at the ENS or Heidelberg University isn't expensive at all.

...

Won't work.

Read up on attempts to create a Labor party in 2006.

You need a way to be able to run without splitting the vote and letting Republicans in.

Should be 1996.
