In the first movie, Fry goes back in time to escape Bender, who is being mind controlled by nudist space jews and ends up living his life the same as he left off, but with more self confidence. He becomes a marine biologist, and the most the dog waits for him (while being cared for by the Pizza guy) is a few weeks every year when he goes to Alaska to study narwhals. Then Bender finds him, and flash fossilizes the dog, leading to the episode as it originally aired.

So it the whole dilemma of "trying to go back to the past after someone moved on" that the original episode was about was shown to be false, as the dog never moved on, as he was still living with Fry.

This is also why Fry's parents don't look for him, because he's never actually missing. He gets frozen on NYE 2000, and comes back a few minutes before he gets frozen. It kinda ruins the whole theme of the show as a whole.

I was talking about Japan, success in the West means fucking nothing, see the PS4 and the entire Xbox series for evidence of that. It won't work because it's not portable, like I said, people don't use tablets on the trains or buses. You'll see 3DS and Vita and of course smartphones, but rarely if ever tablets.

This is why nayuta wasn't localized. It takes 2 years for xseed to translate something with more than 150 lines of text. So by the time they would have been done translating the best 3D action game from failcom it was after the system was dead in NA.

Not really. Things pick up for a little bit and then the pacing slows down again. The first game is pretty bad.

They're not even going to be wearing that the whole time. I guarantee you that the first quarter of the game will be Rean and his students doing shit for Osbourne, then shit will go down and they'll go rogue/defect and get new clothes.

That chapter is really good once it picks up but overall I'd say the pacing is the first game's weakest aspect. The "student council busywork/word building, then minor dungeon crawl, then do it all again in a new place while the story sort of moves along" format means it's constantly speeding up and slowing down.
I couldn't put it down once that chapter got going, then I dropped it again shortly after getting back to the school. I know I'll pick it up again later but I also know I'll drop it for a while once it slams the brakes again.

But it does, you twat, because the story frames the pacing - which is split up into "months" which follow the same boring pattern of slice of life school bullshit followed by "haunted mansion" mission, followed by "field exam" in a pre-set and limited location which is transparently little more than a lore dump which has no organic flow - followed by a boss fight and starting the whole cycle over again. That is literally the entire game. I fucking struggled to stay awake during the final few chapters because it just got so fucking repetitive. And the characters were shit, obligatory archetypes for high-school anime shit, so they weren't even entertaining to watch or care about. Combat was pretty solid, but you can get that in TiTS.

It's not a plus to say it was inspired by Persona, when the influence it took was the absolute worst parts of Persona.
