Yes there's a galaxy map and territories. But it's basically the same maps from quick play made larger, and you get 3 mechs instead of one. One team is defending, that only means there's a wall int he middle of the map and the gauss heavy has to snipe the lock to open it in a few shots. Also that game mode is dead, people only play quick match and even that is decaying

Frankly AC fans aren't ready for what Miya is planning to do.
If Miya is genuinely motivated and inspired to make a video game, what comes out is weird, and unusual.
The last time in recent years it was BB, and it pretty much split the souls community in two, to this day BB is still disliked by many souls fans and almost has a separate fanbase just for that game.
It's clear that in DaS3 he didn't give a single fuck and didn't really want to make another souls game.

So if he makes a new AC game, and he ACTUALLY WANTS to make a new game, expect a good portion of the AC fanbase to completely hate it, it'll probably be radically different.

You make a good point, though the thing about BB is that, slowly people start to fall in love with it. I notice this trend with his games recently.
With Demon Souls, some were completely turned off by it but now, the souls types of games became liked to the point of turning into a meme. He might also learn something from AC5 which might turn into something good.

If it's just "Dark Souls 4: mechas were the age of dark all along do you rike it?" I'd be fucking pissed. I don't expect it to resemble anything even vaguely like Armored core though, I mean the main series had a huge send off with Last Raven where Fromsoft busted their chops for a game meant for pros whom kept a 100% save game file carried all the way through the PS2. The rest after that have been basically varying degrees of spinning off from that now both in concept and gameplay.
