Bit handholdy at the start i've heard, go into options and do not play with switch.

That said, Totem battles will wreck your shit. For example, there's a Lurantis that summons a castform that uses Sunny Day, allowing Lurantis to use Solar Blade (physical Solar Beam which normally charges up first) every turn.

There is a difficulty selection and it has two facets.

The game starts off on switch mode, which you can disable in the options, and you get a EXP Share item that makes the game casual mode. So if you want difficulty, do NOT use EXP share because the game was balanced and designed around not using it, and turn off switch mode in the options so that you can't switch your pokemon when you beat one for an instant type advantage.

Easy Mode: EXP Share on, Switch on/off
Normal Mode: EXP share off, Switch on
Hard Mode: EXP share off, Switch off.

Pokemon X and Y is the hardest game in the series since they added EXP team share. they rebalanced everything to be harder without it because they knew kids would use it.

Its a Pokemon game, if you played gen 6 you already know what you're in for. Although I will say I did enjoy Sun/Moon a lot more than I enjoyed Gen 6. But I don't think thats saying much considering how shitty Gen 6 was, maybe I had such low expectations that it felt decent to me.

If you want to buy it its up to you. You can pay 30 bucks to get the game now or save up to buy a used 3DS with a lower firmware, which could take longer and cost a bit more, or buy nothing and wait it out to see if your firmware gets a proper hack

I would like to sell my ambassador 3DS here and buy a used 3DS. Just don't know how feasible that is. Leftovers can be farmed from Munchlax in route 1. They only spawn in the grass that requires you to Tauros smash, south of the first town with the Kahuna.

Go to github, compile latest version for yourself, click all the tabs until you find the one that has the setting you need.

Homebrew with either an emuNAND (a second console, essentially, being emulated on the SD card) or A9LH (Arm9LoaderHax, code that runs before the 3DS system, and gives you complete control over the system, can't be detected/patched out), is the easiest thing in the world. If you have the money or an old system, trade/buy for a new one, or even 2nd hand, and hack it. Always check firmware before buying.

Remember, buying a system for, say, $180, then buying a large SD card for $30-50, and MAYBE, but probably not, one of the cartridges that allows for homebrew easily, as the built-in browser works but not on all firmwares, for maybe $30, i actually a great investment, in the long run. You get full access to all 3DS games, a lot of DSi games, all GBA, SNES, NES, GBC ad a few other system's titles, which easily means you save money.

They never stop you from exploring either. There is literally nothing stopping you from going back to areas you missed or weren't able to access. I don't think you even know what exploration means.

The way they've been banning is pretty random. As I said, I was online before the maintainance, and apparently few other people that got banned didn't go online after the maintainance, and there's even a guy that said his friend got banned despite only having A9LH, didn't play pokemon at all.

As for how to fix this, it's a ban by your MAC address. There's apparently a way to dump the MAC address from a friend's console/2nd console and use that, but no confirmation it works.

Looks like you get a rare item called a bottlecap, take it to an NPC, and it gives you the ability to increase a single pokemon's IVs.

I haven't leveled a pokemon to 100 yet, so I wouldn't know for sure.

I think I got one off of a lottery ticket system in the multiplayer hub, which you can do once per day per lottery ticket shop you unlock. I believe the lottery has 10 different items.

Also, you get one from Magearna, which is a pokemon you can only get from QR scanning once per game, so I'd assume they're relatively rare.

To avoid, simply go to the home menu settings in the top left corner of home menu, and turn WiFi off, or use the WiFi switch if it's an O3DS.

So if pokeballs pass down from the female pokemon, does that mean I would have to catch a Scyther in a Sports Ball or Safari ball in Soul Silver, Trade it to Black & white 2, & then use the pokebank to get it into Sun/Moon in order to breed a Scyther in that game in a Sports Ball? That sounds like an insane amount of work.

No XP share, no switch mode in settings.
XP share off is stupid hard, as now there will be no way to grind up a 2nd pokemon like gen 1-5, meaning you need to manuakky swap everyone in. On top of that, XP is back to Gen 5 levels, meaning you will be fucked up later on.

The classic excuse is "My system time wasn't set right", so only if your playtime is greater than time it's been out. Even then, GameFreak doesn't download our passports every hour to check they're legit.

Nah, the only reasons they seem to of caught us out was:

Yes, I prefer to put in a folder called CIAS so it's easier to find, but in the root will do just fine. You then just go to FBI, search the file and press A.

Totem Pokemon are really hit and miss. Either you take them down really quickly (the first one seems to be intended to have it happen. They give you a brick break TM right there) or they quickly become unstopable forces

IIRC, it's defence stats are better than usual, plus it's technically immune to status conditions.

Only issue is that it's normal type, and I don't think it's offenses and speed is anything miraculous.

Only tactic I think it has is the fact it can switch in safely against something that would be spewing Thunder Wave. But I haven't dug into it's stats/moves (in the OP)

But if you liked Kekleon, I say go for it.

As long as you switch to the freeshop version you will probably be fine once you get past the original ban (whether that's because it got lifted or because you used a bypass). If you're really paranoid you can start a fresh save.

Just progress through the story, the random encounters will be enough to keep you competitive, but it will be close enough to be a real challenge.

X/Y was a game where you had to go out of your way in order to not break it. In S/M, the game will actually challenge you in spots if you play on set and not shift like a little bitch and you do the optional "boss" trainers on certain routes.

Doesn't matter how much you grind, the game will eventually catch up to you with how the EXP gain works.

The error code you get is dependent on what you try to do.
Try to log into eshop, you get 022-2812. Try to play a game, you get 002-0102. They're not different lengths as far as anyone can tell (there would be no reason for them to be different, everyone is being hit by both unless you didn't have a NNID, in which case you don't get 022-2812 because you can't even get that far).

You can still get 022-2812 without a NNID, you just have to try to create or sign into one and it will appear.

You're not supposed to use it as a pure Prankster, user. It does alright as a Prankster Will-o-Wisper to help shut down any physical offensive threats. The rest you fill in with attacking moves, which Banette has an alright movepool. The problem is that there are so many other better Pokemon with Megas you could use instead, and Banette doesn't have the luck of being a secondary Mega choice, like Venusaur sometimes was, since it could either go Mega or let the other Mega on the team, usually Charizard Y, work. Speaking of Mega Venusaur and probably Mega Sceptile should see more play now because of the Gale Wings nerf. That should be fun.
