From what I heard recently, they're not ready for a February release, mostly because they haven't finished translating with the dub.

They weren't planning on having dual audio and didn't fit it into their schedule. It's not hard to believe that they've been in negotiations, recently got the green light, but now need more time to implement along with the other work they have to do on it.

The gameplay is so different between the only two games in the series worth playing P2 and P3 that the order you play them in shouldn't matter too much.

Nice to see that voicing opinions to Atlus actually worked and the West got dual audio after all.

I'm glad for you non-import anons who waited patiently, though delaying sucks, but hey, dual audio!

To be honest I had given up on dual audio because Atlus rarely if ever offers that possibility and I'm glad that I got proven wrong. Hopefully this doesn't mean that people have to specifically ask for dual audio for the future games. Atlus could take this as a hint that they won't lose nothing by adding dual audio in the future games.

They've already lost tgings, like all of their cute little advertising for "stealing your heart" on on Valentine's, now they've got to change their marketing material and plans that reflected it, the resources they had to invest in getting the Japanese audio, and now implementing it, and perhaps even more. It's more about seeing what this gains them, especially since whether or not they would give dual audio caused quite of a stir in the fan base, and now they need to see that because they provide dual audio that stops, and they need to see good sales come April.

Atlas Japan made the game. Atlus USA translates it. They aren't a 3rd party.

And they've never "fucked up" a localization to my knowledge.

Well…possibly Tokyo Mirage Sessions, but there's a big asterisk next to that because it's highly likely all those changes were Nintendo mandated and I have very strong suspicions most of the localization was done by Treehouse and then a last minute final brush up was foisted onto Atlus right before launch because Treehouse had just gotten a ton of shit for the Fates localization right before that and Nintendo was trying to buy some cheap PR. I base this on the fact that news outlets were reporting Treehouse was doing the localization back at the end of 2015 and even early into 2016 and then suddenly a month or so before launch everyone starts reporting Atlus is doing it instead.

Other than apparently adding honorifics to some places where there were none in the original, and leaving some Jap in the original Devil Survivor, I haven't heard anything bad about AtlusUSA localizations.

Stella's glow was 100% uncensored and done by Atlus usa so some hope there.

Also despite me being super worried about the localization this might be cause of the VA strike.

VA strike was Union VA only and even if one were used, they weren't striking against AtlusUSA or SEGA if I remember correctly. AtlusUSA doesn't use Union VA.

Atlus does not use union VAs, the "VA strike" is only a small, specific union anyway and is also in place against megacorps like EA, Activision, etc. So there is ZERO chance the strike caused this.

The problem is that apparently their ADR guy has no idea how some names are pronounced. Did you hear Ryuji and Yusuke's last names? Those are the only bad things I have to say about what I've heard so far.

It's the director's job to tell you how to say it. I would not be shocked if the VAs said it right and then the VD "corrected" them. Typically, this is how it goes. Apparently one of the reasons for RE1's infamous VA is the Japanese voice directors who didn't speak English insisted on the cast speaking lines in a certain way.

There's 2 rar files:

One with only the models and another with only the textures. You have to figure out how do they work.

In the models folder there's 3 files: A fbx file, a genericmesh.ascii file and a genericmesh.rda. If you know how to 3dmax/Blender then good luck.

Loading the files in blender using the xps addon gives some weird textures, if anyone knows how to texture might want to check it out.

We believe Goth Cake's ridiculous requirement for charm AND her need for bravery means she is a virginal cake because her standards are too high

She is the worst, most demanding of the party characters when it comes to requirements
Hifumi (fatal frame lookin' girl): Lv.3 Charm & LEVEL 5 KNOWLEDGE
She is an inverted Makoto, so it'd unlikely you'll go for her while looking to Makoto.

So all-in-all, the top #1 is still Sadayo/Maid Cake. By the time you get to Futaba in the story you'll likely have Lv.4 Gentleness anyway since you need rank 2 to even start Anne's link, so she's not a bother.
Hence why Sadayo and Futaba are the most appreciated in these threads.

How are you liking it? I came to persona quite late, didn't play any of them until 2013, then played them all and branched to Shin Megami Tensei as well. I don't care about spoilers since I'd been spoiled straight or subtly to all the others as well during years on the boards. Wasn't she suppose to be the embodiment of the Mary Sue? That's what I assumed why her name was Marie and she was constantly making it about herself. This is from watching the anime though and not playing the game. The anime was awful, both versions.

I thought they would fix the problems of the original with Golden but they made it worse. It was a hack job that didn't try to make a more coherent story with Marie involved, it just cut any plot story and sidelined episodes or replaced the original characters with Marie instead. If this was your first time involed in anything Persona 4 related, you'd have no clue of the plot unless you've seen the original animation or played the game. There were some good moments but overall, it was a terrible adaptation of a mediocre game.

Persona 4: The Golden Animation =/= The Golden the game. In the anime, yes, they shoehorn all the plots to be about Marie and insert her where she wasn't (even in the Golden version of the game). That's why the only episode of The Golden anime that isn't shit is the Christmas one, where she isn't involved at all.

The Golden (as a game) tacks on her plot, but doesn't add her anywhere she wasn't before. And things like the beach trip and Fireworks festival don't involve her in the game.

I liked Persona Q and I'm a "persona fag"

I thought PQ was a nice change of pace after P4's boring and easy as fuck combat. FP dungeons and maps were odd, but I got used to it.

In case you were wondering, started with P3, did P4, then P1 and 2. Like 2&3, dislike 1, really dislike 4, like Q gameplay, but hate story.

Persona Q was by far the best thing to happen to Persona since the OT.
This IP shines the brightest when it gets to have a dev team that actually understands what it means to build a party and dungeon-crawl.

I will say the only thing I liked about Golden was Marie's dungeon, designed by the SJ team.

I can't seem to make anything near my level besides a chimera 9 or a valkyrie 11, but I would lose 3 demons and garu/bufu which seems to the weakness for the 2nd floors,any recommendations?

Just keep on. Some early levels are dry spells since you have very limited access to arcana and level. You should be fine for May.

It makes a slightly sad that people forget Persona 1 & 2 exist. The series started to get more popular when 3 was released, I get that and when people talk about Persona they mostly talk about 3, 4 (and 5). Rarely about the first 2.
