the carno proportion wise is decent, though the arms look too big, and the skin just looks wrong, its way too big and "globby" looking with the dermal armor
Kapro is fine I guess, but it's kind of a monster designer's wet dream from the start anyway
I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at the Megalosaur, I searched it in google expecting a generic bore, brownie points for them on having the balls to feather such a basal theropod, wish the face wasn't shrink wrapped though

It is absolutely incomplete.

However, the recent designs have been really really good imo, the development has been solidly planned and they stuck to it. They released dlc before finishing the game but while it might just be bullshit, they do make the legitimate claim of wanting to finish and test the cross-map systems (e.g. being able to import/export unique critters and items between unique maps) plus it started really showing off a lot of the lore of the game, which is looking like it'll be really interesting (appears to be a whole lot of alien tampering - most of the animals have deviated from their original forms, some have been hybridized, others have been blatantly selectively bred by god-knows-what, and there's a couple downright alien-like and fantasy-esque critters done in complete psuedoscience, e.g. fucking wyverns and a dodorex, except all with completely thought out ans plausible skeletons and mostly-realistic anatomy, spec-evo style.)

They only have a few more dinosaurs planned to release before they focus on optimizing and polishing the game, and recent steps in that direction have been pretty stellar - it still runs pretty poorly, but holy fuck it's a hell of an improvement.

Basically, they seem to be following their development plan to a T, and if they are, then they're on the actual right track for an early access game, but the only thing off which to trust them on this is that it's what they've been doing so far.

Sure is fucking pretty - and holy shit, you can build motherfucking mobile military bases on the backs of giant dinosaurs, so they can have my money already.

Updates used to be very nearly weekly. Recently they slowed down very signifigantly to just like a couple small updates almost monthly - and then the DLC dropped, and now they're doing HUGE monthly updates. Like 4 new fucking dinos at once, brand new features, letting you use guns on the backs of dinosaurs just recently, etc. etc.

I'd recommend hopping in right the fuck now because I'm goddamn lonely and bored. :^)

The steam reviews are a direct result of the DLC, and probably entirely deserved, but before they revealed they'd been spending time on that, reviews were nearly 100% positive IIRC. Also take a look at the DLC's reviews - at the time of that fiasco, it was well representative of the fact that the main game's sudden shift in reviews were just the result of butthurt children who couldn't afford it. Everyone who could apparently thought it was great including me tbh

and the survival factor of the game does kick up a high amount with the SE map. man getting wyverns and rock golems the first time was bitch.
it was an overall nice addition to the game really I feel the main game could really be touched up like SE levels of weather and such

click steam on the top left, then click settings, then click in game, then tick "save an uncompressed copy". From that same in game part you can click the screenshot folder button to specify where the copies go to.
I don't know what valve was thinking but those copies aren't uncompressed, they are losslessly compressed PNGs.
And for some other retarded reason you can't only save the lossless version or have the lossless version save in the game specific folder like the jpgs
