I wasn't aware that Czechistan gives me more say in the elections than the (usually lauded as progressive and western by the media here) Germany. Our current president got elected directly (just counted how many people voted for which one, and picked the one with most votes) and pretty much did a fuck you to the whole government. So while you got the ministers meeting with Dalai Lama and expressing support for their independence, the president decides to go on a trip to China, agree on several big trade deals, and basically tell Dalai Lama to fuck off. It's pretty hilarious in how much and how often the government clashes with the president
