Which RPG class do you usually go for?

Which RPG class do you usually go for?

I feel as if the basic "thief-warrior-mage" format is long overstayed for being hella-restricted but having one of those totally open-ended experiences lend themselves to certain builds being broken and not being fun to play a second time. Thoughts?

I hate anything related to magic, full str and def builds, either knight or warrior.

Fuck shields, fuck magic, give me a huge sword.

I always choose a crafting-class if I can and choose combat-heavy companions to cover me.
If not I move between full thief to half-warrior and half-wizard, prefereably some combinations of the three.

Bitches don't know about my dex-build.
Pic related.

Spear Knight or Magical Girls

...

Checked.

I'd also like to play a sneak-focused character but when your companions suck at sneaking and get spotted I usually reroll to monk or other glass-cannon classes.

How would you go about re-designing roles in a game anyways? Maybe something like:

Fuck I dunno.

Why is there never a class who fulfills the role of tank, while also using ranged weapons primarily?

Probably because the point of using ranged weapons is to be at a distance while a tank is meant to bear the brunt of melee attacks?

Didn't we have this thread a couple of days ago?
Either way the answer is always knight/samurai with two swords.

...

Time Mage/Warrior is badass obviously, It'd be awesome to go full Dio on my enemies. (JoJo really does an awesome job at making seemingly useless/mundane powers/abilities terrifying and impactful)

Otherwise I'll go for a straight two handed ten ton sword 'zerker full strength and def, a RIP AND TEAR monk, or a cheeseking stun ranger/archer of some kind.

Wildstar did that with their Engineer class, but you become close range since all the melee mobs run right up to you

The one that can be the biggest asshole to other players, which usually means some sort of rogue or wizard archetype. If I can kill someone fast via stealth attacks or superior range, that's great. If I can loot their corpse afterwards and take their hard-earned shit, even better. If it's possible to steal from someone without even having to go through all the hassle of killing them that's fucking fantastic.

I miss old Haven & Hearth. I never got strong enough to actually take on any of the myriad PKers, Ranger LARPers or botting russians but I could always sneak into someones claim, break a fence and steal anything of remote value before teleporting back to my fortified mountain hideout.

Shame most games with these mechanics nowadays are all early access walking simulators with crafting sprinkled on top.

Demon King with prestige levels in necromancy and stealth archery

What if the game has enemies who primarily use ranged? It definitely would work in an FPS-RPG game.

she's got a cock

Nope. Trust me, I checked :^)

I don't know about you but I'd rather not be the sole focus of enemy fire

Like clockwork

The Beast Master Ranger from Guild Wars was essentially this. You used your pet to draw the aggro from enemies and clustered them together so your team could damage them. You could also come up with builds designed to take advantage of setting traps where the enemies would be to weaken them, burst attacks like Barrage+Splinter Weapon to shred a whole group apart, or just buffs for your pet to keep them alive longer.

I checked too user. Do you want to suck it?

Sorry, not into sloppy seconds.

Berserker/Paladin combination if possible.

Geomancer a cute

Assassin would be pretty bad ass, but 90% of the time they're just a mage that can sneak around. I always liked the idea of the one guy who snuck past everyone, killed the leader, and got out without anyone knowing. I remember NWN D&D did it pretty well. If you hit someone outside of combat they where paralyzed for 1 minute + your assassin level.

Why do they do this

Hail!

It was also on sneak/flank attack iirc and you could always abuse invisibility pots and such or just roll a good hide in plain sight

I blame the jews

I tend to favour sword-and-board with a ranged secondary when possible. Spells and magic in vidya is 99% shit (fireball AOE, icespell debuff, lightning hitscan, etc) so I reserve that for my P&P RPG experience (casting prestidigitation to cause an animal stampede and rout the enemy is fucking hilarious).

Wizard, melee classes are boring as fuck in most RPGs.

Pick three party members and one boss.

Shield mage.

They gave you like 4 spells, and one of them was darkness which let you death attack everyone caught in it. However, it was also buggy as fuck in NWN.

High Attack and higher critical rate.
I need to make sure they are deader than dead

Melee puncher mage for me.

The most versatile

Wizard

Specialist or make everyone a caster hybrid

...

i still need to finish that game

sucks to be you

Mage (not healer, the fireball type of mage) if the spells are fun.

If there's a separate mage that summons cool shit then that's my class right there.

My biggest condition between playing a summoner or mage is if the thing you summon is especially strong or at least strong looking, a summon should be there to protect the summoner, not assist with extra damage, but PROTECT.

FF11 is a good example of this, your summons are epic, have a big cost (which is manageable) and forces you to "put them away" to conserve and regenerate MP. the actual act of summoning should be fun and it should happen often.

FF14 or WoW are the BAD examples. In FF14, your summons are pitiful pixie things rather then big'n imposing types that look like they could slug you across the continent. ANd in WoW, some of your summons as a Warlock look imposing and all that, but you will have them out all of the time, and summoning them isn't even flashy in any manner, so they're more like an AI NPCs party system rather then actual summons.

FF10 did summoning right.

Yeah, he was pretty mean once those sneak attacks start stacking with death attacks. Especially if you managed to fit in those red dragon bonuses.

Monk. The punchy kind or the spiritual kind, it doesn't matter. Bonus if it's both.

seasoned veteran relative would be your second party member but would quickly be replaced (died badassly) with PTSD veteran ranger.

Broquest would make a damn good game in general.
Someone should make a game using these character portraits in RPG maker.
The companions would all be temporary (a few are ones you'd set out with), with new groups forming after certain arcs/call to adventures.
it'd probably suck though

Fund it.
Each of the soldiers would make it to the end, save for one dying early on. After awhile they'd all get separated (the bro of the party would be all alone, and his section would be playable in between the protag's arcs, and he'd have misadventures).
Everyone gets back together in the end after realizing nobody except that one poor sod in the beginning died.
Except for the poor sod didn't die and the Undead King has his soul.
Ending is the Undead King and the Nameless Dead Rank and File Soldier vs 3x Names Rank and File Soldier
This idea would work so fucking well if pulled off correctly.

Berzerker.

Or some type of warrior/mage who's on magical bathsalts 24/7.

wew

I now want to play every single game that lets me decide as a soldier.

...

I wish vidya RPG had as much customization capabilities as TTRPG.

I remember doing this for a campaign that never ended, we never got to use it.

Edge Lord.
A man in a mask and a fedora walks through town with a small host of little girls at his side; his blackened leather trench coat flying with the wind. They rush through the streets and burn the houses as the masked man continues on his casual meandering. A crying child now stands in his way. He approaches slowly. He unsheathes his black steel katana, lays his hand on the child's head and looks him in the eye. “If I take that off would you die?” Asks the child in a mix of awe and terror. The big guy kneels down in front of the child, “it would be extremely painful” he says in a dark monotone. The buildings are charred and decrepit now. The masked man teleports behind the child “pshh, nothing personnel kid” he says to the child as he stabs his sword through his chest. Spitting blood the kid can do nothing but look at the masked man in the eye “are you a big guy?” he asks with his dying breath. A stream of blood spouts from the kid’s chest “for you…”
He is the edge lord. They are not lords of land or people necessarily. They do however have power. Dark power. Donning and wielding weapons as darkened and edgy as his very soul, he is often seen as a high functioning autist. He brings a combination of calm but short-tempered fighting rage as well a certain amount of magic abilities he uses to often annoy and destroy their opposition before, during and after the battlefield.

Being of Pure Edge.
They say it's the quiet ones you should watch out for. This statement is truest for an Edge Lord. They say few words because their energies are concentrated on suppressing their raging autism… until provoked. The simple act of walking through a crowd makes the dark lord's presence known through the meme magic that pulsates from his very being. You embrace the hold that Kek has over you and in return it awards you with innate abilities made to destroy and spread ruin.
During times of youth, you may have shown prodigious skills in your studies or the fine art of drawing furry porn and for this were ridiculed by your peers, especially that one faggot Kevin Robinson from magic school; fuck you Kevin stop showing everyone my fucking grimoire you piece of shit. But after time or simply one event, you are lost in the darkness. In that darkness, you learn to master the edge within. Though you may not have been of noble descent, as the title suggests, you are indeed a person with great power over something. That something is memes incarnate, tightly wound within your being.

Hardcore cunts.
An Edge Lord’s inherent autism makes him not have very much patience for the mundane. Even combat training has seemed to be slightly rushed. They are able to use the most devastating weapons, folded a thousand times, and the most gentlemanly clothing, shunning the use of anything less than the best. They are lords, first, and warriors, second. Their energies are used most to scheme and direct and only use what they will need. An edge lord will take what is useful and leave the rest which often leads to the neglect of stronger uses, this is most evident in magical pursuits.
Authority and poise are characteristics of someone who is very well off and successful. Something humans aspire to be. Humans often are the ones who fall for the powers of evil. The drow elves, however, often dabble in the dark arts and are just as susceptible to the seduction. Tieflings are rather drawn to these dark arts naturally and are the most likely to take them to the utmost extreme. Half-orcs, vampires and half-elves can also be drawn in for various reasons ranging from fury towards the world to being fed up with simple harassment. But above all, edge lords seek to see their superiority to tower over the masses.

Creating an Edge Lord.
One can only become an Edge Lord when they have finally ascended, they are one with the edge; they shun puny gods and goddesses and they’re only concerned about themselves.
A character that becomes an Edge Lord is immune to being healed by clerics, and mind affecting attacks, resistant to necrotic and slashing damage (because they’re just so edgy).
They are also unable to use anything that isn’t an edgy enough weapon (ask GM).
Other than that, the character retains all their class abilities it had before their ascent.

Edge Lord’s Identity.
The Edge Lord adds a “The Hedgehog” to the end of their name and is also completely unable to convert into a religion, immune to alignment changes.

Paladin. Except Paladins are never in fucking games

The one that lets me kill non-whites

What's a paladin?

Big weapon with the capability but mixup between tanking and healing

A slut.

...

They're the law

I usually like going for something like a Paladin or Cleric.
Casting heals while beating fucks in the head with a big hammer makes me excited.

If I can't punch shit to death, give me a katana or a greatsword.

Literal cucks

what ever happened to broquest anyways?
it seems pretty cool imo

We don't talk about Broquest, but we learned two valuable lessons from it.

1. Never trust a jew
2. Just use RPG Maker if you're making an RPG, with decent sprite work and some Ruby or whatever you can make something not shit

...

Sweet.

Dragon Knight, Shaman, Dragon King
roll to attempt to seduce boss

Someone who never got past the first panel.

I go for anything that lets me befriend/fight alongside monsters

So a Beast Master or Beast Tamer

Engineer, summoner.

who ever can build or call other things to fight for them

I think that's summed up pretty well. Games like PoE fit that to a T, but action orientated games do benefit more from the class diversity.

I like most forms of long-range physical damage dealers. Bonus points if they have a snare/root skill.

Nox is a game where Conjurers do amazing summons. It uses a 4 slot system in which tiny creatures take up single slots (spiderlings, imps, miniature flying machines), medium creatures take up two (wolves, bears, ogres, trolls, etc), and large creatures take up 4 slots (Golems, etc). They can also create bomb creatures which are tiny, filled with conjurer spells that allahu akbar into enemies. You have to use mana to summon and also for your spells, but you also have bows and crossbows as a conjurer.

It plays like isometric quake with three classes that play completely different and have different spell sets, Warrior, Conjurer and Wizard.

Probably one of my favourite games for summoning.

A priest who thinks he's a warrior

A lot people are talking about Nox here recently. Anyway here's the GOG installer if anyone wants to play it:

The old reliable Fire Mage is the choice for me.
Nothing like a noob bonfire.

Kind of like a Knight of the Round Table but they served at the table of King Charlemagne.

Whatever class is the most fun to play as, I usually play RPGs where you have multiple partymembers though.

There are many other classes aside from thief warrior mage, clerics and archers for example. "warrior" classes also have many variations.

thief, assassin, light armor warrior, dual wield warrior, monk/boxer

damage dealing high risk high reward class

though one of my favorite characters i made was from Ice Wind Dale 2: A Drow illusionist thief with weapon proficiency in crossbows and daggers.

I never looked it up, is there a definition for high agility mages?
I always play with fast classes/characters in principle

Wind mages usually fit that bill, since elemental magic users tend to take on the abilities and personality of their element.

Depends on the game, really. I love using magic so I'll usually play as a mage/wizard/healer, but some games are more fun to play as a warrior (which also have variations) or an archer.

In singleplayer RPGs I've always liked the Bard class. Games where Bard is viable are hard to come by though.

I'd certainly go for the Priest or the Knight.
Oracle, Chemist and Time mage are also pretty cute.
Wizard and Mimic and Geomancer make me want to protect their smiles.
Mediator and Calculator are both impregnation-wit-taking-responsibility material.

WARLOCK WILL CRUSH ALL PUNY MAGES

Which ever class lets me punch things.

That's not even a katana, that's a nodachi.

Like .. to play as or to fuck? To play as Monk or Samurai, but if it was to fuck, I'd probably go for Samurai, Mediator or Priest.

Besides the fact that she is an elf.

Paladins in general are always raped. They're basically tank sluts in the flesh compared to other tanking classes albiet all tanks are subs but try to avoid damage at least also elves are for love making not hate.

A nigger with a sword that thought "WE WUZ HOLY AND SHIT"

This guys gets it

The elf is the bride of the orc's dick.

Only pussies prance about with two sissy blades in a ineffectual fighting style that's just for show

Real men clense the world of evil in the name of the Lord (or Emperor)

Smite and Purge!
Purge and Smite!

the first choice of a skinny nerd who wants to be someone respected and with a sense of power for once

It sucks there are so few games that let me play a monk type class. I'd love Dragon's Dogma to have a class that punch, kick and kill things with wrestling moves.

I hate the flavor around magic so I want to limit magic to an ultimate ability.

Blacksmith that makes his own weapons, and seeks rare and powerful materials to make better weapons with. Wields a two-handed axe, and has range covered with his spring-loaded satchel tomahawks.

Don't you mean cockwork user?

Why not?

Lately I've been really into magically imbued merchants. I like the concept of a merchant who sees magic not as a road to power or a scholarly pursuit, but as an answer to the common merchant's woes on the road.

Why wear heavy armor or carry cumbersome weapons when you can shield and defend yourself with magical barriers and fireballs? Why pay brutish bodyguards for protection when you can travel with an entourage of on-demand elementals?

Arcane knowledge also would act as a supplement to his business pursuits. Alchemical reagents are easy to carry and, with simple book knowledge, can net a tidy profit while bolstering your reputation as a good sort by providing towns and caravans with heals and cures… or by providing poisons and stealthy apertures to lowlife types.

Magical persuasion would also be an option, either to manipulate weak-willed traders or to diffuse dangerous situations, and transmutation of common ores into rare metals would be an essential trick of his trade, whether to alter their weight for ease of travel or to take advantage of less-than-skilled jewelers who can't spot transmuted rings or necklaces.

This is good. I am okay with this.

Paladin/Knight or Necromancer/Lich
I play Genocide Paladin most of the time since nobody likes making a good necromancer skelly class in RPG's

Found the perfect class for you.

Dwarf

That's absolutely the way to play it. That's even the shorthand I've used to describe it to a friend of mine, "the jew wizard"

Jack of All Trades.

Use the environment, range heckling, circumstances and magic to get bullshit victories.

Racemixing garbage.

...

The good thing about Elf/Orc hentai is that I can pretend it's not Aryan women getting bred by big black cock.

Gee that sounds a lot like the Mystic Knight class from Dragon's Dogma.

It's a class in DnD e1 nig.

>>>/tg/
>>>/oven/

So is Elf and a Hobbit, which was always kind of silly cause Dwarf is a FTR who can reach up to 8th level, and Elf up to 12th level FTR/MG, and Hobbit a THF up to 6th… Why would you ever want to play a non-human as a result?

Immortal Paladin tank. Nothing better than you fighting half their army and refusing to die.
only RPG I've played is spellforce which is technically a rpgrtsplease recommend me more good rpg games

(checked)

Not a videogame, retard.

I just hate when people compare black people with orcs.

Is an insult to all orcs and I'm tired people smear the good name of orcs comparing them with those savage beasts that need to be erradicated.

Black people aren't even be worthy to be called goblins.

Orcs are Poo 2 the Loo Indians.
Zombies are Niggers and Necromancers are their Jewish overlords.

What does a half elf-orc even look like?

Primary choice: Monk
Secondary choice: Magic Knight
If none applies, choose something "original" or rarely seen

Sword Wizard.

Mix between a knight and an archer.

I usually like the class that lets me heal from doing damage. Most specifically melee. This usually is the form of some sort of dark knight/death knight/black knight sort of deal. Very rarely some sort of rogue/berserker option.

Or I really like classes that let me combo moves into different effects. I've only really seen this done well once, the samurai in FF11. I have no idea how come no one else has come close to even trying to copy this as well done as that game did.

Barring that, whatever gives me insane movement options like teleports, leaps, or what have you.

You're alright.

It's still racemixing, tho.

The rest of europe tells me I'm not white even if I have green eyes and I'm pale like milk.

Monk. I want to punch the shit out of things.

Any RPGs where I can play as a fist/unarmed-only monk?

Dark Souls, Final Fantasy XIV

...

...

I know about the Conqueror's Seal in DS2, but is there a fisting build that works from the start in DS1?

Take master key, run through valley of drakes, buy Caestus from Andre for 500 to 1000 souls, return to bonfire at the beginning, play game.

Big swords and/or fast classes
Bow and arrow for ranged because fuck magic.

Also bear in mind that Caestus runs are one of the most difficult runs in Dark Souls. Despite being strike damage weapons the Caestus does a really low amount of damage and even fully upgraded to +15 they never truly take off as a weapon damage wise. Your only real options are to buff your caestus or modify it into another affix, such as divine, enchant, occult, lightning, fire, etc.

I like a challenge.

I've always wanted something that would be dedicated to debuffs and status effects. Basically reduce your enemy to a crippled mess with the power of voodoo and curses and shit.

Going full ideaguy, I'd have the class mechanic be fluid and you'd have the basic skills and weapon masteries to learn right from the start and have the exotic stuff be required to be 'discovered' by exploring the world and fighting enemies.

What does occult even do?

It's the exact opposite of Divine, but uses Faith scaling as well. It affects anyone who isn't undead the most, so it hurts Ornstein, Black/Silver Knights, etc the most, but it does very little against Nito, Gwyn, etc.

Oh, nevermind, it does do extra against Gwyn.

Also, it doesn't do anything against Smough because he's a fucking cannibal.

darksouls.wikidot.com/occult

If it's a magic class, I like necromancers and warlocks. I like time magic, too.

For melee I go for the berserker with huge sword route like Guts, or a dual wielder with curved swords like Drizzt.

We're getting better, I'm proud of you guys.

Why did you have to bring it up then, faggot. You're secretly just trying to derail this thread into exactly that, aren't you?

I'll keep my eye on you.

HUGE SWORDS
If game doesnt have huge swords its
HUGE SHIELD AND ARMOR

Paladin/Knight. Justice gives me a raging hard-on.

...

Ahem.

Punching the shit out of everything is so satisfying, especially when I can play as my waifu while doing it.
Dispensing heals & buffs and purging evil/undead with divine light all day.
Wield raw magic power and manipulating the foundations of reality to do my bidding.
Sucker for the classic hero who stands against evil and protects others.

There are only two classes worth playing.
Necromancer and Ranger.
Anything else needs to get back in line.

(checked)
you guys are alright

don't go to FF14

Because nobody lived long enough to reach the 5th level back in those days. Level inflation wasn't a thing yet.

This is wrong anyways. It's OD&D that you're referring to. 1E more commonly refers to 1st Edition AD&D, which was never called that until 2nd Edition AD&D was released. The Advanced title was dropped upon the release on 3E by Wizards of the Coast, as the original Basic D&D was no longer a thing.

Melee/Magic spellsword-type classes are always the most appealing to me, too bad so few games do that.

Or lances/spears.

...

Almost always go for a high Agility & Dex/Crit class like assassin/thief because I'm a faggot like that . There's just a satisfying feeling of being almost untouchable and landing that crit dmg.

If that fails, then I'll probably just go glass-canon because trying to stay alive while killing in a few shots gives me an adrenaline rush. Handicapping myself in this way also pushes me to get better at the game with the build I'm playing.

Etrian Odyssey 5. But as someone already pointed out, it's because tanks are there to soak up damage and keep attention away from the others. That makes very little sense if you have melee attackers attacking enemies, yet the enemies just run after the long distance weaponry tank.

There needs to be more grappling and suplexing in RPG. And basically any other genre Yes, even rhythm games

I really like spellswords. Any melee attacker with utility spells; heals, debuffs, etc. Maybe even some damage spells to compete with ranged builds for short periods of time.

Legend of Legaia/Dragoon did it right.

Meant to post this one for the monk.

Defensive healer.
Cockblock everything an enemy can do and if they do something, heal if off before the pain even registers.

Proceed to claim I am unable help anyone I don't like and become bros with a necromancer.

You're just looking for the biggest bone around, aren't you?

how about a crazy deamon bitch of some kind?

Depends on that game, actual gameplay trumphs lore to me, i generally try the "unique" gimmick classes.

For example, I like Monks and Dancer flavour-wise, but in FFXIV i ended up with EDGE KNIGHT and my "main" because i had more fun with the gameplay. And it turning out to be invented by Moogles basically means COMFY KNIGHT is the proper way to play one rather then CRAWLING IN MY SKIIIIIN. and in XI i played WHM since it meant i could basically extort people, and later Dancer because i liked the lore AND the playing style, in Dragons Dogma(:DA) i played Magick Archer because i had just watched myself some /m/ BEAM SPAM and wanted some of that, and i got it.

And to build on it, i can have loads of fun with Mages and WIZRADS in tabletop, but in vidya the limitations generally means it is nowhere near as fun as creative spell use is part of the fun, and vidya generally don't allow that, with some exceptions.

Gunslinger.

Always gunslinger.

(Use the necromancer to turn friend into undead and then buff him and lesser undead with alchemist.)

Evil monarch

In JRPGs I'll go for something with high crit damage and agility/dodge. I'd guess Assassin or Samurai? That's only if there's no option to be a skelemancer though.

Status tank. Poison the enemy, then buff and heal as they rot away.
It gets boring doing it with every enemy though, so I usually though in some damage spells related to the buffing school (smite undead, telekinesis, drain life, snare)

genius
munchking is the only way to play.

Bro!

In CRPGs both Western and JP I'm more of a physical fighter or monk dudebro with the buffs as a winmore button and the heals+revives as the ohshit backup contingency when things go to shit. I also run cleric in /tg/ as well. I don't run full support builds as I tend to go down or die more since the other players are usually morons leaving me to save the day.

Either normal soldier man with his generic equipment and normal brain, or Danger Mario class. I like to be a useless piece of shit or a dead useless piece of shit that can crit for fifty million damage for the 1 hp he's alive.

Or Royal Guard, master of style, parries, and parties.

That's a funny way of saying 'two shields'.

I always choose the melee character. I got bored and tried choosing wizard characters for a while, but most games will balance out your long range effectiveness by making you deal less damage, which just causes enemies to be up in your face anyway and you don't get to use you cool wizard powers.

Any suggestions for games that let you be an OP as fuck wizard (yet still require skill if possible) would be greatly appreciated.

Whatever class has the highest damaging single skill in the game. I don't care if it has a 5 minute cooldown or costs all my mana or can only be used once per battle. I just want to blow my load all over one unlucky fucker or end boss battles quickly.

Yeah. It's one of those Japanese dungeon crawlers where you explore a dungeon grid map, and when combat starts the RPG mechanics take over. Like Sakura Dungeon, except not terrible.

Manliness AKA banchosity is only achieved by eating raw rocks and shitting knives to beat the shit out of your enemies. Not like i expect a shabazo like you to understand true manliness.

Chronomancer
Because anything time related is absolute bullshit.
You can manifest absolutely any other power simply by manipulating time and perception of time.

also unrelated but anyone have that gif of winking hitler from the film "the making of a nazi"?

If it's not confined to just "dur haste stop slow", then it's rad as h*ck.
Otherwise, yeah. Maybe summoner is a better idea. Having shit do shit for me while I do other shit is pretty nice.

Can you really get any more bro than that?

eh?
What about fire? or freezing? Or super-strength?

Hey you know how enthalpy and entropy works right? Objects have a certain amount of contained heat and order; over time entropy increases while enthalpy decreases.
So take that "over time" part literally.
Stop time and no entropy occurs, instead a backwash of enthalpy is introduced to the system. Remove your magic bullshit and suddenly that area of space-time has to snap back into the current frame of reference; meaning it has to instantly undergo the entropy it "would have" gone through if it were passing through space-time normally– simultaneously retrieving heat from the environment in order to do so.
In essence, a time stopped area becomes an implosion bomb.
So in reverse you have
Which is easy enough, all you need to do then is speed up shit.
Though it would heat up its surroundings comparatively, undoing your magic bullshit on it would then cause it to slow all entropy back into the current frame of space-time. This process would then remove heat from the environment. Bam freezing.
Force might be reliant on strength, sure, but velocity and acceleration is another application over-time.
And guess what, Newton's second law of motion has force = mass * acceleration
So really all you would need to do as a chronomancer to be super-strong is just slow down your perception of time.
You throw a punch in say 1/10ths of a second normally? Slow down your perception, and you throw it at 1/100ths of a real second; but to you, you're still throwing it at 1/10ths of a second. The result is a punch that is fucking fast and has a net-force increase of 10x.

It's absolute bullshit.

come on guys

Considering the mana costs, unless you have a source then you'll likely be stuck with lame cantrips like Square Accel that can kill you because no speedforce.

Fire and freezing would be speeding up or slowing down particles in vibration to heat or cool them and super strength would be speeding up yourself which makes your muscles output far more force per second than they would at normal speed.

Y-yeah.
That's a better way to put it.

Kiritsugu could've done so much more with his squre accel.

Wait, how the fuck is the King of Dragons a villan? With fucking evil at 7.

The big thing that would fix Knights is if you did something similar to the Knight Classes in Fate where they all possess magic resistance in some form. Fighters lose to a Wizard in most situations, but make that Fighter nearly impervious to magic, and things change quickly.

Kerry was a shit-tier magus. That's why he blew motherfuckers up.

While i agree how much magic resistance will be given? Cause Fate is inconsistent with how strong magic resistance is and if it's too strong wouldn't that cause an imbalance?

Ninjas, Monks or Thieves…or Swashbucklers. And Samurais (depending on how good the class is. Example, FFT Samurai is OK..ish, FFTA-2 Samurai is good, Cyan is not a good Samurai)

I FUCKING HATE BIKINI ARMOR, WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A REASONABLE IDEA? FUCKING RETARDS

I FUCKING HATE== women in combat ==, WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A REASONABLE IDEA? FUCKING RETARDS

You can't double red text famalam

what were you even trying to do

...

I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE WHO WANT REALISM IN A GAME WHERE YOU SUMMON CREATURES, DROP METEORS FROM THE SKY AND RIDE GIANT CHICKENS!

You don't understand physics, do you?
None of that would work.

Doesn't matter how much you speed yourself, you won't be able to lift a car. (you MIGHT be able to increase kinetic impact, but at the cost of your arm)
Neither would fire and ice work like that.

i just hate to see women objectified like that, it's disgusting

I agree men shouldn't be allowed to wear loincloth to battle just as women shouldn't be allowed to wear a chainmail bikini to objectify both men and women like that is disgusting. Armored Rogues and Mages anyday!

Well the only precedent we have for time distortion in this universe is caused by shit going real fast with lots of kinetic energy, so I don't see why general relativity couldn't work backwards in this context.

...

self sacrifice and heroism is a meme created by the weak to manipulate the strong.

I hope you're being ironic, otherwise, MARK, YOU JEW, DO YOUR JOB.

Anyone who says otherwise didn't follow the Olympics. All that shit from cunts on twatter and other places.

I fucking hate people who can't separate "unrealistic, yet logically consistent within the setting" elements from "unexplained shit that doesn't make sense in any way".

You always know you're dealing with a closet beta when they start talking about "true" manliness.

It's like when normalfags talk about how "true" gamers play Mass Effect and AssCreed, or how "true" Americans support Israel.

Yeah, like Berserk. Last update was like 2 years ago, after it had been monthly updates since forever.

Bikini armor makes as much sense as 80 pound "18" year-old fighters.

I like the assassin class in dragons dogma. Not only can you use Sword and Shield but you can also switch to bows and daggers. I just felt like the warrior class is just too slow because of big weapons they use and there really isnt a warrior like guts who is quick as a assassin/strider. Mystic knight is also too slow but I wish there were more classes that are like a magic fighter class where you have a sword and shield but can also use magic. Not many games have those.

I have not tried magic archer but I heard those guys are OP as fuck. Though I wish there was a magic ranger instead. But assassin in this game really tends to be really good since you can move around. I really like sword and shield play overall in many RPG's but what really I like is being able to switch to bow n arrow. It gives a good variety. Sword and sheild is just really soild between the armor you can wear and damage/speed you tend to do in most games.

Go back to cuckchan, faggot.

I like halberds. I don't care about anything else.

Speaking as a guy who finds magic classes to be boring as hell, Magic Archer is completely worth dealing with the dull monotony of the wizard classes. Only problem is that MA has shit magic growth, so you'll want to spend quite a few levels as a sorcerer to get the most out of it.

Yeah but 2m tall 16 year old muscular oiled men are okay.

Actually it does make a lot of sense.

Women shouldn't be wearing armor and the only place they have on a medieval army is as camp followers. Meaning they're just glorified prostitutes with crossbow training.

...

That's why you just mod the game to balance the MK/MA stat growths.

I suppose it could be a kind of illusionist. You make a beefy tank illusion while sitting back, pelting your enemy with ranged shots timed to the illusions attacks.

Then if you get off time, the enemy starts disbelieving it and coming for you, it might be an interesting way to play a tank

I usually go with max muscle/AK-47 combo if I plan on playing without cheat codes, but if I want to take over territory I'll go for a more mobile BMX/Uzi combination. I use to use the classic Jetpack/Tech-9 combination but the entire build of that class is broken.

but on topic I usually tend towards alchemist if the game allows it

...

...

There's several problems with that image. First, you'd generally want to wear clothing that covers your skin from the elements like dust or flying rocks and allows for extra storage, with pockets and the like. Secondly if you're wearing a bikini to a battlefield for whatever reason, having it armored doesn't make sense because then you'd be adding weight to your bikini with absolutely no benefit.

It's one thing to make fun of people crying about bikini armor in a fantasy game, it's another to say that it's strategically beneficial.

It distracts male melee opponents.

I like chemist types.
Making items better, healing allies, tossing status conditions around like candy on Halloween just to follow up with critically improved attack items/concoctions, it's so much fun

dude
weed

Dude
10 int
lmao

Big, bulky warrior. Not very intelligent, but wise when it comes to warfare.
Fuck magic. I'm no anti-mage; I just don't have an affinity for the stuff.

It's only inconsistent by characters, not by ranking. Saber has MR A, which makes her completely impervious to nearly all modern magic, and able to resist most of the damage from even the attacks Caster makes. Archer has MR D if I remember correctly, because he's a shitter, but this is still enough to dampen most attacks. Berserker has no magic resistance, so even Rin is able to take off a life using her gem magic, albeit requiring a massive amount of gems to do so. Gilgamesh has something like MR B but has his golden armor that makes him virtually invulnerable to all harm, so for all intents and purposes, he's impervious to anything even Caster can throw at him.

Give me the biggest sword you got.

I give that a pass. It's either that…or one of those pretty boys who looks like a lady. DO YOU WANT THAT? DO YOU?

My order of preference is:
Which is strange, considering my love for fantasy.

I want to play a swashbuckler who uses a sword + a gun now.

Any recommendations, Holla Forums?

More games need to let you use double-shields.

I FUCKING HATE hothwheels ,WHO THOUGHT IT WAS […]

The technomancer has a build where you use a sword and a gun. Give it a try.

Bloodborne if you can handle the 30FPS

I'm talking about perception. Rather than making people into the Flash by speeding them up, it would instead slow down their perception of time. Impulse and force are defined by velocity and acceleration, if you divide those "per second"s you get a net force increase. The only thing really standing in the way then of a chronomancer is inertia which just so happens to become greater the slower time is, so I guess it evens out.
But on fire and ice
Say the world is on a constant timeline. It is always proceeding forward from the central point of the big bang. Space-time being defined as frames of reference, and each frame containing the placement of the universe at that time.
Time is a human engineered phenomena that allows us to keep track of how long it has been since the universe has been created, but it also happens to coincide with how the universe works. One cannot stand outside of the universe, because the universe is existence. To go beyond it, somehow, is to go beyond that.
Therefore, "time" defines and is defined by "the border of the universe."
Time defines the orientation of space relative to that border-of-existence. The act of stopping time then would most certainly have consequences.
If time were to stand still, the frame of reference it was defining will no longer proceed to the next. However, "time" isn't a fundamental force. The weak nuclear, strong nuclear, electromagnetic, and gravitational forces all exist without time– but the evidence for their existence would not without it. No motion would occur, no transfer of heat, no absorption or radiation of energy. If time were to simply stop and resume repeatedly, nobody would be the wiser. Nobody can perceive it because our perception is bound to motion; and so long as time did continue, there would be no consequence for a pause.

But what if only a small area were knocked out of reference?
If a square mile were to suddenly "stop", what is the consequence for its surroundings? And what about inside?
What if that "stop" were to be rectified– what then? Does the universe snap it back to its rightful position with no problems, or does something catastrophic occur?
Where does all the energy go?
That's why I think chronomancy would be overpowered as all shit; but nobody has an imagination, and it's either "dur universal time-stop except for me :^)" or "haste". There's never any consequences for time-manipulation, and that's where all the fun is.

fuck
