Am I the only one here thinking Bond should be a retro hero like Indiana Jones, permanently in the cold war?

He was contemporary by Cold War standards, so it wouldn't make sense to keep him stuck in the past. I think the producers need to realize that the bond films are genres on their own because of their comic-book tone.

Think of it: I'm pretty sure if ISIS was a thing during the Cold War, Fleming (and the films, though in a lesser extent) would hold no punches at the Islamic terrorism.

While this game doesn't live up to the original Goldeneye, it is pretty good on its own.
How ironic that the best version of this game was actually the Wii version.

Only played Goldeneye. I want to try the others. Any recommendations other than Nightfire? I didn't like From Russia With Love.

What a massive, dissappointing piece of shit. Those Gawker leaks were definitely real about the multiple writer changes. Horrible writing inconsistencies, what they did to the guns was annoying too. Batista with a gun with two barrels = Massive holes. Plus the fact that Bond can use a PPK to shoot down a helicopter when that's impossible. It was simply a Daniel Craig Bond trying to be a Roger Moore Bond with the silliness as well. If there's a positive, it's the title song, cause I can change the lyrics to "FOR YOU. I'll become a big guy for."
