Pardon my ignorance but… Isn't the Warden and the HoS immune to the thralling due to the loyalty implant?
Because that would void the entire possibility of them siding with the Shadowling and render the whole point of the crew moot.
It makes as much sense as assuming SecOfficers are now Revs.
The crew doesn't get the right to mutiny just because they dislike how someone else does his job or the Warden would get the right to break a Medic's leg just because he didn't healed him fast enough.
And even if you somehow believe they have that right, then it's something to be handled IC, not with jobbans.
But if you think a jobban was fair, then admin intervention and not crew mutiny would be the right procedure.
It's the combination of both that makes no sense, with the crew forcing the Warden to take actions that led to his ban and yet not being held accountable for this.
It would be even easier to do absolutely nothing, though. The mod could have left things going and see what happens, issuing a jobban if the Shadowling actually murders people.
Everyone else that decided to mutiny and got lasers in the face had the outcome one could expect from mutiny, no admin intervention was needed because of that.
Besides, it's not like it even worked out anyway for the Warden that got overrun. All that experience did for him was convince him to never play the role again, jobbanning on top of it just makes it even worse and then it's yet another player that's never gonna pick a Sec Role.
Go to the bar in any round near the start. There's an Assistant (or more) sitting in a corner, insulated gloves and toolbelt. The moment there's talks about an antag of some sort is the moment he gets up.
Usually all he does is act suspicious and annoy Sec because he doesn't realize what he looks like for an Officer.
It would be if I was the Warden.
Instead, let's bust open a few doors\walls so he can screech and run the fuck away.
Meaning that anyone without real weapons stood little chance to stop him. Anyone not armed with decent lethal weapons is "reckleslly endangering" himself and everyone else by going near him.
Stop you right there (because again, I'm not the warden but also) because in SS13, stun = dead and cuffs are issentially a stun that doesn't stop unless with a few tricks the changeling doesn't have or being alone for 2 minutes.
Cuffing someone is the first step in killing them in SS13 and not doing so is the first step in signaling that you're not trying to kill someone.
Seriously consider the game mechanics before you post about this again.
Read Space Law, the Warden is in the right. There are exceptions where lethal force can be used and that was one of them. You really don't get to mob 1 guy with 3-5 people and expect him to try to keep you all alive, especially when you are not gonna have the same courtesy for him.
By being stealth antag and never doing anything that reveals their presence to the crew, something that's somehow even more boring than murderboner.
So in the end, the lesson is that you should powergame at all times in all jobs.
If you are Sec, you should ALWAYS cuff everyone, even when you want to try diplomacy.
If you are [any role] you should drop everything and go murder the antag because that's the role of everyone.
If you are an antag, you should murder everyone to avoid being killed or give no hints you were even there to avoid being found.
How you fucks see nothing wrong with this, how you, intentionnaly or not, enforce powergaming with your moderation and can't even understand how much this kills the server, it's simply baffling and one of the reasons I stopped playing.
Might as well hit CM if the goal is to kill all the things.
