Are there any good RPG Maker *games*. How could i screw that up?

LISA the Painful and its DLC : The Joyful are good. But they cost money.

Mogeko castle is fun

I suggest Jojo's bizarre adventure 7th stand user

I've played all of those but Ib, what's that all about?

Oh wait, I remember a good free rpg maker game.

Middens

No. JRPG's are the absolute worst. Shit combat, shit UI, shit dialogs system, and wonky character design. These are the problems that RPG Maker can hardly fix. Better use Game Maker with RPG assets, fucking retards. There's A LOT more freedom.

??????????

No, the only good RPG maker games are the ones you made in middle school and abandoned because you don't have an attention span.

quads

Who the fuck pays for RPG Maker games
Also, try Forget Me Not ~ Palette, though good luck finding files for a RPG Maker 95 game.

Party Dude was my fucking masterpiece
I should've saved it

I don't wanna look like an attention whoring faggot quoting everyone but i'll be sure to check all those out on my toaster

I had this game recommended in another thread so I see no reason to not pay it forward, End Roll is a very nice one with a pretty tight soundtrack. Seems a little edgy at first but give it time and it does turn into an enjoyable experience

It's a atmospheric spooky little adventure game with multiple endings that has you exploring the wonders of an art museum after hours with your strange older man in a trench coat and your new best friend Mary.

I thought LISA was GameMaker.

RPG Maker is JRPG builder famigo.

I already messed around with game maker 8 in middle school, making simplistic top down shooter. Never touched RPG Maker.

I was gonna say why wouldn't they be, but then I remembered that I play a hentai game that's supposed to be sold when it releases. But then again it's not finished and probably will never ever be, so that doesn't even count.

Painful/Joyful were made in the latest version of RPG Maker. Uses the built-in battle system and everything

Those games look like fun but i don't know if i would pay that much for an RPG Maker game.

Unlike other rpgmaker games it's decently long. The base game and the dlc will take you around 17 hours to beat.

Mogeko Castle is not fun.

Ninja Tears
:^)

witch house
strange men series (crooked man, sandman, boogieman)
moonlight ghost (if you are looking for something different)

2K3 is the best one, it defaults to FFV's battle system w/ class changes and such.

OP, if you enjoyed Ib, you might like Corpse Party. Plot is: A bunch of high schoolers try a ritual that sends them to a haunted elementary school in some sort of ghost realm. Gore and death ensue. Typical horror-adventure game a bit like Clocktower.

Best version is the PSP remake with voice acting, called "Blood Covered (Repeated Fear)".
"Good" might be a bit of a stretch, but it's rather enjoyable.

The Way is pretty good at least the later episodes

Hey, you forgot .flow.
Part Yume Nikki, part horror game, it's a nice mix.
Probably the most famous Yume Nikki "clone" back in the day.

And talking about more obscure titles, there's Beautiful Escape: Dungeoneer.

I can't exactly say if it's good or bad, it's sort of a mixed bag.
It has some cringy elements like blasting Mad World at you every time you're hunting for new victims in the street, but also decently smart elements like making all the dungeoneers black and white with yellow eyes, they feel like their "separate thing" compared to their victims, it helps push a divide between them, a sort of point of no return where these people have become depraved and sadistic and left behind their humanity.

The main gimmick of the gameplay, placing traps in the dungeon, isn't anything to write home about, it's just an arbitrary "block" you have to beat every time in order to advance the story.
It's sort of a hit and miss, sometimes the atmosphere works, sometimes not.
Sometimes you'll meet interesting characters, sometimes not.
Sometimes you'll explore the main character in a satisfactory way, sometimes he'll just come off as cringy and tryhard.

It's more interesting than Yume Nikki. A good portion of the world is at least thematically connected, and you can fathom some semblance of a story based on some of the shit you see. It's one of the only YN fangames that I've tried that is able to tell a story without actually telling one, where most of them are just wacky dream shit that takes a grimderp turn out of nowhere (where .flow at least comes off as edgy from the beginning).

It's also shorter than YN, which in and itself is a pro and a con. I used to come home every day to explore a bit in YN to relax, but with .flow, I was compelled to see it through from start to finish. The exploration aspect is still there, but seeing how there's an actual flow to the game, it can go by quickly.

I've been playing Wadanohara. It's not fantastic, but the story's at least kept my interest so far. Dolphi is best girl

Moge-ko did nothing wrong!

Some RPG Maker p0rn games are nice

I like Roundscape a lot. A lot of the art is absolute shit, but just the variety of scenes and the insane amount of content makes it worth it.

7th stand user if you like jojo

didn't the dev had like quadruple-digit hours in RPG maker?

I can't bear to play RPG maker games. They all feel exactly the same just with different artstyles and visuals. Porn RPGs are an exception of course, because the shitty gameplay is minimal and it leads to animu sex.

Violated Heroine would be good, if it were finished.

Deep Sea Prisoner's stuff is good (Gray Garden, Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, Mogeko Castle)

All of their games are offered for free and are fully translated as well at that link.

You know what's up

Hipster indie-loving trash.

LISA is worth paying for, cuck.

It really isn't.
