I hate this so much, I have tried to have a waifu on multiple occasions but every time I try to imagine us being together I imagine her getting mad at me and yelling at me for the areas where I fall short, and that just bummed me out for the rest of the day. The first time this happened I tried it with a character who was more strict and serious.
