As much as people liked the first series, I entirely blame The Walking Dead.

It really is the fault of TWD. I'm willing to bet had that game not sold like hotcakes and either flopped or made the same amount of sales as before, they wouldn't have changed and stagnated as quickly as they did. I mean, I couldn't even find much joy out of Poker Night 2 when only one and a half of the characters were interesting to listen to compared to the first having 3. TWD was a mistake.

Poker Night 2's character-choices in general were obscenely odd, especially on the trail of having a Team Fortress 2 character which is a personality that can match up to almost any situation easily and seamlessly. Imagine if they'd gotten Spy or Engineer in instead of Claptrap, hell maybe Engineer since one of the Devil's Playhouse episodes for Sam & Max had a Dispenser you could whack eight times with a wrench item and receive a can of Banang from as a joke.

That would have been way better. He'd probably have better interactions with GLaDOS and Brock in those cases. Besides, I feel a TF2 themed setting would have looked way cooler than Borderlands generic looking one.

Doesn't help that if I remember right they kind of dropped that whole Inventory bit from the first game where it was more or less an exclusive club to play tabletop games with other in-the-know enthusiasts, hence that elaborate secret entrance and a classical 50s-casino building on the inside.

BTTF is okay and has some neat plot ideas, exploring docs past makes sense as a direction to go, but some of it isn't too smooth and not always well written. Kinda wish it was a book or cartoon (or movie) instead. Had some good damn moments in some episodes though.

playing though episode 1 events from a hidden perspective trying to fix your fuck ups while past you makes your decisions is a neat touch though.
