What server are you guys playing on, and how can I join? Golden Panda has merged with Blue Dragon, so we're now playing on Blue Dragon. If you want to join the guild, leave your IGN in the thread and someone will try to pm you. Your internal needs to be level 5 if you're in a school, or level 11 if you're a vagrant, before you can join the guild.
CURRENT STATE OF THE SERVER: Since the merge, we've gotten much stronger. We have several whales in the guild now (three with full jade c6, one with ghost shadow sword, two with ancient taichi fist and such), with more looking to join. We're on unfriendly terms with the largest alliance on the server, and are currently leaning towards an alliance with ChaoticPanda and Insurgency (the evil vietnamese guilds).

not really. The cash shop sets blow normal sets out of the water by a huge margin, and not being a VIP means you level massively slower, have a harder time getting real money. Saying it's debatable is like saying all PC games are debatably free because you can pirate them

I play the game because it's fun in spite of its faults (which are many). I went in expecting nothing, and what I found, ironically, was the best MMO on the market (I even like it more than Anarchy Online at this point). Themepark MMOs just can't compare to the level of freedom that Wushu offers, and its esoteric mechanics are simply unparalleled.

The way VIP is handled is a given with most mmos. I'd rather it be subscription based to begin with but that would kill off the player-base. We also have a guy in the guild that's played this game longer than any of us without giving Snail a penny.
Some of the cash sets are really strong but a lot of them are pretty worthless, there are tons of regular sets you can obtain without paying a dime that are just as strong if not stronger than cash sets.
tldr the game has faults and would definitely be much better off without cash sets or any kind of advantage that comes with paying real money but is still worth playing in spite of it.
