The Weimar era had a very specific mindset to it that was extremely beneficial to all sorts of criminal degeneracy.

On a side note, that book is by far the best introductory piece of information out there. He was a former marketer and applied the principles to the book. It makes it an extremely pleasant and informative read.

Don’t forget to look back to the Franco-Prussian War and the involvement in the Rothschilds in funding both belligerents. The first treaty of Versailles relates to this, the Germans being the victors (except over the interest rates for their debts). The second Treaty of Versailles was that ending WW1. The Greatest Story never told exaggerates some of the Natsoc accomplishments and paints a very rosy picture of the political situation(obfuscating the power struggles in the appointed positions) but it probably undersells Weimar simply because to do it justice is essentially to display a porn compilation.

I'll try to give you a good outline, though I can barely source it since most of my knowledge about the subject comes from 12 years of watching documentaries, reading short articles, reading history books and occasionally reading historical documents (or proffesorial breakdowns of historical documents). So while I can't show you where I got it from, I can assure you that there is ample documentation available to the claims I'll make, and I'll spare you my personal conspiracy theories about Hitler's rise to power.

Hitler's personal story is well documented and not that controversial before the internal party purges and the war, during which the Nazi party had some hickups where they placed men of ideology and not men of merits on important positions. So I imagine you can easily manage to tell that yourself.

No single factor can be said to be decisively what put Germany on the path to National Socialism. It was a slew of factors. And National Socialism just so happened to match up the two most powerful factions in Germany at the time, the traditionalist/conservative revanchist nationalists, and the militant and impoverished socialists. Workers and soldiers, coming together to elect a strongman to set the army and industry straight.
