Wrecker is a free item that you choose and upgrade when you press I button and you can upgrade it from 50% to 100% to 150% damage increase against shields.

You earn credits in a match, you can spend those credits on upgrades that last during that match by pressing I in the spawn area. There's even a reminder that says "Press I to buy items at the start of the match".

Wrecker is one of those upgrades you can buy in game with the credits you get during the match.
It's in the damage section and you gotta look at the enemy team very carefully before making a choice.

If you're a dumb scrub, you'll buy the +5% extra damage because you're dumb and stupid.
If you see a lot of shields-based characters, you'll buy wrecker and reck them.
If you see a Ying\Barick or any other character that deploys shit on the ground, you get Bulldozer and suddendly they don't do anything.
If you see a lot of healers, get cauterize and laugh your ass off.
All 3 of these make the game MUCH easier when going against the characters they are effective against (+50% damage versus just +5%)
And if none of them are applicable, reduced cooldowns, reduced damage or more passive healing is always better than extra damage.

Buck and Ruckus are straight up fun.
Buck is a dude jumping around and shooting people in the face, you can't go wrong with him.
Ruckus is the best "this is my point" character. The only thing you fear is long range engagements from Kinessa and similar, because otherwise you'll tear some new assholes. He straight up doesn't die unless he feels like it.

Barick is fun but takes some effort to not be shit. And when you get to that point, he's really good.
Grover is pretty sweet, you swing axes all day, heal people just for being there or with a nice burst, you swing around and all.

Grohck is mostly the same as Barick but, although he is still fun, I don't consider him that much fun.
Androxus is edgy as shit, but excelent for mobilty and being edgy. Pick that guy when you just don't care about your team and just want to murder people.

Pip has terrible healing capacity compared to other supports but he has the most damage output and the best survivability. Not to mention he has the most annoying slow in the game next to Kineshitter's mines and only on a 8 to 4 seconds cooldown depending on your loadout.
A good pip will very rarely die and take out annoying targets/slow people frequently.

I agree that 6k is pretty weak though but a Pip doing only 15-20k in a game doesn't surprise me as long as he has good damage.

Pip is seriously fucking good purely in helping teammates get kills instead of pure healing, which is pretty great if you ask me. His explosive flask can be upgraded to the point you can slow enemies for 3.5 seconds for 50% with a 4sec cooldown. Polymorph massively lowers enemy health to Evie-tier while shutting down whatever they're trying to do. Even his autoattack is great in that the blast radius is large enough to near-permanently apply the cauterize item debuff on at least half the other team. You can also do bursts of 2k healing at once if you get the card that reduces CD to the point of instantly resetting it whenever healing teammates.

I didn't use random letters and numbers, user, I'm not that stupid. I read that when you use Google or Facebook to create an account its randomly generated. In fact, you don't even have a password. I had to put "I lost my password" to get one.

The problem with the auto log in is that the session expires for some reason when you're in the main menu or in the training stuff. It wouldn't be a problem if I had a regular log in, but if that happens I have to close the game, enter the client and relog.
This game have way to many problems to be enjoyable right now. They aren't even gameplay related problems, just shit like this. I can't even enter the "champions" screen without the game crashing, and I never got to open a chest because the option doesn't do anything more than the chest opening animation. There's a mod that forcefully terminates the game process because the crash it gives you when it closes down fucks up your game settings and takes too long, that's how bad it is.

I've seen exactly the same thing happen sometimes in Paladins, so this thing with the shields isn't that surprising.

My greatest problem with this game is that because the playerbase is small and disorganized, I can never find answers to any of the problems I have with it. Like since the last update, I can't select loadouts, it forces me to the default deck. Searching google, plebbit, and even the official forums tell me nothing.

All you have to do is look at your keybinds, dude. There's one that says "Choose loadout" or something similar. I think it defaults to the U key.

It only works until the game starts, though. You can't use it to bring up the loadout selection screen after that.

With a character geared towards supporting the team… I would forgive it in Kinessa, maybe, only because she can instant kill with it but only if they don't build Heaven.

Why wouldn't you build Heaven? None of the other blue items are useful, the only other slightly useful one its Illuminate and only if there's a Skye on the enemy team.

Most people don't build Heaven, I go for it when Playing tank. If damage, it really depends on the enemy team. Although, I usually end up buying at least the first Heaven one.

When i buy the 10% less damage item (forgot name) and i then buy the 20% less damage item do i take 20 or 30% less damage? Same question goes for all items i buy

Think about it, that means if you get lv 3 cauterize they heal 180% less

Pip has shit tier heals, he can burst heal 1k only every eight seconds. The dedicated loadout card to shave off 4 seconds of the healing flask has an internal cooldown of 5 seconds and requires you to hit someone.
On the other hand if you choose to build your loadout around his slow, you can get it every 4 seconds without any prerequisite and it's one of the best slows in the game. He also has an amazing engage/disengage and high survivability since his flask heals the full amount if used on himself. The few times I was trying to do heals primarly I barely managed to break 40k on a 16 minute game, meanwhile elf healslut can easily do double that amount just by pressing A from time to time. If you're not flanking a lot with Pip and slowing enemies as much as possible you're really not playing by the character's strenghts.

That make sense. Is it just me or are the 10% less weapon damage taken, 50% damage to shields and maybe the one that heals you more outside battle the only good things to buy. I dont get why the 5% weapon damage is not 10% AND it cost 100/200/300 gold more. Even DPS heroes like Cassie are better off buying the 10% less dmg item

Is it me or is Mam'ba basically worse than every other support besides some extremely niche situations? A few comparisons to put this into perspective:

just over 800 DPS, but has pitiful range thanks to the high drop and is difficult to hit consistently with this combined with the low projectile speed
850 DPS, travels to a very respectable medium range, can be hit very consistently for full DPS potential due to hitscan nature

needs to be constantly refreshed every 4 seconds, interrupting DPS potential, can be difficult to hit the right target due to pinpoint accuracy needed
hardly need to be refreshed at all, they automatically snipe any teammates in need with no chance at missing, healing potential is doubled with two active

heals for a mediocre 200 HP/s and deals a pitiful 100 DPS, lasts for about 2s
heals for about over 300 HP/s, can be increased a large amount with a card upgrade, lasts for 5s

split second invulnerability, only able to dodge a single blow, relatively short distance unless upgraded
2 seconds invulnerability, can dodge many hits while buying lots of time for his cooldowns to replenish, synergizes with totem to heal while intangible, both duration and speed can be upgraded

two seconds of disabling enemies in radius, adds 20% damage vulnerability
four whole seconds of disabling enemies, reduces the health of all affected to 1500, which means anyone could potentially be one-shotted in this duration, even the tankiest of tanks

half a second stun, very difficult to hit and takes a long time to "cast"
at least two seconds of slowing/crippling, buys enough time for teammates to kill anyone affected, can usually affect multiple enemies at once

Basically, every single thing Mal'Damba can do, other supports can do better. Even his trademark snipe-heal can be done better by Ying's illusions, while his crowd control is basically nonexistent. Apologies if this post has garbage-tier formatting, I'm tired as fuck and am curious if anyone else thinks the same

It's like a less offensive, better healer version of pip

I usually buy the cooldown first and kinda observe the enemy team for first round and then buy cauterize or wrecker of the shielders or healers feel like an issue. But if the enemy is four out five the following: Viktor, Evey, Skye, Androgynux, Cassie, Kinessa, then hell yea, I will buy aggression at some point.

Snek man should almost always go for Cauterize.
I mean, he has a fucking skill that goes through shields, if you put cauterize on him he's always fucking up heals on the point.

Play comp, trust me. If you dont have friends or people to play with here, go with Comp.

yings reintroduction really changed the game in a way many players cant seem to handle. im not super fond of it

Mounted is one of the best items I find, especially for flank or for front line. You can't really go wrong with being the first one on point as Fernando, for instance.

I like monted when I want to get to the point fast, like with Barik who is far more effective when gets there first

You might as well have just asked that and got it over with. People fucking suck at video games. Nigerian Prince is actually pretty decent because he happens to have one thing the other supports lack, which is a directed healing beam. Ying still dominates in battlefield control, Pip in elimination capability, and so on.

I played as him a couple of times, and I found that, if you can get a non-retarded front line, you can do some serious damage with him. That said, if your front line is retarded, things go to shit pretty fast.

The biggest weakness he has is, amusingly enough, self-healing. Pip can always blast himself up in a pinch, or use the "heal allies - heal self' card to kill two birds with one stone if the player isn't a retard. Ying has great mobility, her ult, and her clones. Even Grover and Shrek have a better survivability. All snake man gets is his slithering away.

I feel like snekman is the more pure support of all of the characters. Everyone else can do damage on their own and don't really need to rely on others.

For record I was not dead, this happened after respawning.

That's not too low if you are doing a good job hooking ying/skye/Cassie whenever you see their asses and finishing them off.

This is the Loadout I like the most. I can reach low SHIEDING sometimes though, I have seem as low as 30k.

I don't really mind that. It means I can focus on keeping my mentally ill teammates alive for as long as possible. I still prefer playing Ying, but honestly, playing her is like playing the game on easy mode. Put her with Fernando and the game has already been decided unless the players are literally retarded.

Enemy team had a Ying and a Fernando, so we were pretty fucked from the start. We still could have taken that last point if snakeman hadn't been a retard, though.

Is it just me, or is a single rank of Veteran the best, most cost-effective healing option for most characters? All of the other ones seem kind of lackluster.

One point increases the hp regen to the point where it makes a huge difference. After that, yes, it seems like it's not worth it.

I like getting that hp on kill on evie though, half the health recovered after every elimination for 1800

If my team is retarded and picks four damage or flank classes, which character is most likely to let me pick them up and carry them on my back? I've been trying to use Fernando, but it seems like his damage output isn't enough sometimes. Maybe a bulky support, like Grover or the lightning shaman?

Ying is probably a better choice to be honest. And frankly, you're still likely to lose unless the enemy team is retarded. You might as well just pick damage as well at that point and watch everything burn.

When your entire team consists of 4 damage / flank, the best option is to go another damage.
Heal? What are you going to heal?
Tank? Why are you going to tank if they're going to get picked up?

In diamond comp I've won more games with full damage teams than 4 damage and me trying to tank/heal.

You could stop playing shit games altogether instead of trying to decide what to do to dampen your shitty team.

Enjoyed the game for about 100 hours, bored as fuck now since casuals is all just straight up newbs most games and competitive isn't even SoloQ.

id say a healer if theyre not retarded, but theres no way to tell and they probably are. just bring more damage, preferably someone with decent objective control like bomb king, just be ready to play guardian angel vs a shitty skye or androxus, thats what will end up giving your team a headache.

people are more willing to fire at fernandos shield because its unreasonable to wait it out or go in to/around it like everyone elses shields, plus hes immune to knockback for the duration, the only way to remove him is to grind him down.
by the time you break turtle shield itll have timed out unless you have like 3 guys firing on it with wrecker.

Fernando's damage is entirely AoE and mostly easy to hit with. If the opposing team loves to all group up on the point, he can get pretty high damage totals despite his low DPS since he's constantly hitting 3-5 targets at once.
