Hey folks, it's me again. Finally got the 1996-2000 games sorted, tested, and uploaded. Over 4GBs worth of videogames in this set. All the usual stuff applies, roms are merged with BIOS files, if you want a different region of the game then rename the game .zip to that region's name as per mamedb. All roms are tested and confirmed working in 0.170 MAME. All download links except the 2001+ set are posted on /vr/'s MAME thread since /vr/ is a nice and slow board. That thread is here: 8ch.net/vr/res/4689.html
Pic related is Prop Cycle, which works flawlessly and is more fun than it should be. As usual I'll be happy to help if anyone has any questions,
Anthony Morgan
Why didn't world got stuck in '90s forever?
Adrian Miller
Thanks for all the work. I hope I'll find the time to download them this weekend.
Liam Gutierrez
Great work, I really appreciate it.
9/11
Liam Jenkins
Thanks, always appreciated

Does MAME do Naomi/Naomi2 games?
I could go for some Daytona, VF2, and VF3.
Jack Morales
This is pretty great. Thanks for going to all this effort. I used to have a bunch of MAME ROMs completely disorganized like 12 years ago, I got fed up with the mess and deleted everything. This is perfect for me.
Michael Thomas
Not him, but sadly no. There is demul for Naomi/SM3 though. The original Daytona USA is SM2 though, and there's a dedicated emulator for that.
Camden Edwards
Like said, sadly no. Demul is your only option for Naomi/Naomi2 games. These collections don't have the Naomi/Naomi2 games since they won't work under MAME.
Also not included is Model 3 games, which mostly work under Supermodel, and I think I had to pull Model 2 as well, which works under the Model 2 emulator which I believe is called "Model 2 emulator". Triforce games aren't included either, but from what I hear you can run them in Dolphin.
Hudson Flores
Finally got to replay and finish Galaga Arrangement. Holy FUCK I was not expecting it to be as fast-paced as it is.
Jason Sullivan
Ahh yeah I always forget about Daytona/VF2 being SM2 because of the AM2 crew team heh. So that would put VF3 as an SM3 system.
Do either of you know which system ran the Star Wars trilogy game? Looked through the Sega arcade wikipedia page and couldn't see it listed under any of the arcade systems.
Jackson Jenkins
oh nm i found it under "star wars trilogy arcade" wikipedia page. says it's an SM3 game
Christopher Morris
Is there a beginner's guide to mame or something? I'm trying to get my rom collection of games I want to play complete, but the last time I tried doing that for mame roms didn't end well.
Adrian Diaz
OY VEY! Why should I pay three quarters for a lousy arcade game? Two quarters! That's way too much!
Ayden Mitchell
you can get latest the 7zipped merged MAME romsets from the pleasuredome tracker, it's about 36GB
also OP: I hope you included at least one of those 2D Rally games, like World Rally or 1000 Miglia they're quite fun
Hunter Rogers
I'm here to help man. Go download MAME 0.170, 64 bit if your shit supports it. Get the MAME rom packs from this and the /vr/ thread for the genre's you like, unzip with passwords, then dump all the .zip files inside in your installed MAME /roms/ folder. Then run MAME, and play whatever game you want.
Also recommended is to use a MAME frontend that is a bit simpler to navigate than MAME's method of typing in the name of the .zip file you wanted.
If using standard MAME, once you've loaded a game you can access options by hitting TAB. ESC will go back one step, Enter will go forward in the menus(by default).
Let me know if you need any more help getting the games up and running.
Both are 1991-1995, so they will be in the last set which I'm currently working on. This is a merged romset, just with all the poker, knock-offs, mahjong, pachinko, quiz, and otherwise unplayable or games not worth playing removed. It's looking to be about 10GB's when it's done. If it works and it's an actual game, it should be in this set. I might have missed a game here and there, but it's about 98-99% complete.
Nolan Ortiz
One bump for those who haven't seen the thread.
Ethan Wilson
It's not just an arcade game. It's an exercise machine, as well.
Anthony Hill
Waiting warmly for naomi netplay/link support
Jack Roberts
You're going to be waiting for a long time. In the mean time, you can probably find PC ports of the Naomi games you want to play online.
Joseph Cruz
Ha!
Dylan Cooper
my Mame romset is a bit older but it covers pretty much anything that doesn't require a CHD to run it and isn't a mahjongg/quiz game nobody would play anyway. plus a compatible MameUI versions. if you need a newest mame, feel free to update romset with incremental romset updates you can find anywhere at rom sites
it's about 15 gb

Mind looking through my set and seeing what I missed? 5GBs is a lot of stuff, and I'm fairly certain I got 98-99% of all working games in this set.
Hudson Jackson
:(
gonna upload those, give me a while (I have third world internet, Danke Merkel)
if anyone has suggestions for more CHDs of games that are worth it I can torrent those and put on mega too
Brody Anderson
Well, I know for a fact San Francisco Rush works if slightly graphically bugged, as well as Gauntlet Legends and Dark Legacy. The Gauntlet games take about 10-15 minutes to load on my i5, but they do run full speed once loaded. I believe Area 51 works, and Carnevil(sp?) as well, but I've never played the latter.
Are you >>4718 on the /vr/ thread? If not, you might wanna coordinate with that guy.
David Butler
welp too late now
it's just 742MB for that pack which is gonna be done uploading in an hour so if people just want CPS-3 CHDs plus some extras they can download that one
Henry Reed
i didn't even consider looking through CHD games since the resulting romset would be half a terabyte
i'm sure you can just play console versions of JoJo/SF3 and acquire the rest manually
I just picked all the working games and knocked out the CHD games and mahjongg/quiz/slot machines
It has all the clones for the rest of games though, which would easily halve the romset size if I were to remove them (which i didn't since many clones have dramatic gameplay changes and new game modes). I don't recommend copying over the lacking games since my romset is based on few versions older mame
Gavin King
By clones, I mean shitty chinese knock-offs, like all those fucking space invaders clones. I left the bootlegs and variants in the set. Is that what you mean? I've got Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire AND Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire for example.
So you left in the pachinko, pinball, amd softcore porn? Or did you trim those too? I'm trying to figure if those 5GBs were games I missed or that I intended to leave out.
Robert Bell
i mean clones as in mame definition's clones
Evan Gray
Oh, I just merged them in with the parent. Is your set merged or split?
Kevin Phillips
Thanks user. Is BB in this per chance?
Didn't realize /vr/ changed.
Ayden Anderson
??? Bakuretsu Breaker? Balloon Brothers? Bang Bead? Battle Bakraid? Help me out here.
Wyatt Stewart
o lol I didn't read any of that shit at mega and you can only create links after creating an account
seems like my intention to contribute was in vain
and fuck that fat piece of shit Kim Schmitz
Wyatt Powell
He sold mega quite a while ago.
Ethan Wood
I should have remembered that was a shit way to describe it. My mistake user.
Blazblue.
Sebastian Davis
According to google that was very recent, so it won't work under MAME. The version that does exist is a hackjob to make it work on PC's, since the hardware is effectively PC hardware anyways. It's not likely to get emulated under MAME any time soon either.
Benjamin Rodriguez
I've seen Twitch streamers do like 20 game races. Any one thought of putting together a lame pack for that and we could race on Twitch?
