People hate razorcuck for a reason but he made an interesting comparison in the past about game publications and the number of ads in comic publications was really higher than in other comics directed to specific consumer audiences.
What I want to say is, there is no game media. This is just another branch of PR and marketing for the companies to use to get more shekels.
These people are not ashamed of what they do, because the ones who were, are, usually, not there anymore.
To people that really respect the media and want it to improve in the important stuff, the people that really want better games, these guys have nothing to show but more reasons to avoid almost all of the games the big companies want to show as the next "game changer".
At least, from time to time, they can give us some really good shitshows that are worth to watch with some popcorn.
