thread is so pointless i swore i was on 4chan

No push to talk, no by user volume control, calls everyone in a group when starting group chat, host caller depended for quality, won't fucking close when you tell it to, and so on

How do people use it?

I used Skype until I realized my old friend-group had been driven out of the call completely by two friends who wouldn't shut the fuck up about League of Legends and steadily replaced everyone else with people who would also only talk about League of Legends. As far as I know they're still only talking about League of Legends.

Used to be its own solitary program, Microsoft bought it out, stuffed it with ads and replaced MSN/Windows Live Messenger with it. Discord's been stealing its thunder lately and Skype'll probably die out eventually.

It's a safe suspicion that people who won't shut the fuck up about Reddit or 4chan haven't been here terribly long or just want to shit up the place, in my experience
