I mean I do backpedal but it seems a lot slower than turning around and legging it. I get pummeled by claymore-fags or shield dudes frequently, so I play defensively with my battle mage. I tried a dual wielding character and had to play a lot more aggressive though.
I already fought two of them. I learned to just kill them at range with my own magic. Elementarism is really fucking good, but I don't know if I want to stick with it. I'm really unsure what kind of playstyle would be the most fun. I probably have autism or something, I can never stick with one character.

Oh shit it's out now? I'm actually still in my Nehrim playthrough. Nehrim feels like the game Oblivion should have been. If Enderal is even half as good as Nehrim, then it's definitely worth a play.

Summoning magic supposedly is extremely strong, though this may or may not be addressed via patches at some point in the future. Sadly, the other schools of magic are mostly just there for the utility spells - if you wanna play a mage, elementarism is more or less mandatory.
As for the Frost mages, I played a warrior with a two-handed weapon and heavy armor. Even with the Resist Magic spell and a relatively high skill in Light Magic, those fuckers proved so frustrating that I got myself two staves of fireball and dual-fired them to nuke these fuckers whenever more than one of them showed up.

I'm just mostly stumped because of the class system and because I don't know which combination would be most fun to play as. I tried to make a dickstab thief but kept getting butchered by wolves at the start.

I know this is such a little thing to praise, and I can't believe I have to say this, but WOW MOVING PLATFORMS ARE GREAT I WONDER HOW MUCH EFFORT THEY HAD TO GO THROUGH TO MAKE IT WORK. Fuck you, Bethesda, fucking Morrowind should've had moving goddamn platforms.
Ryder King
Morrowind's physics were so fucked up it would never have worked. Getting stuck on things that weren't a totally flat surface was common enough that some form of levitation was practically required to get through the game.

Ministry of Truth Telvanni Towers
Levitation was a fucking requirement.

Are you implying that building staircases with books was not as amusing as it was practical?
Isaiah Davis
Oblivion, then. There's no excuse for a game with so many dungeons to not have a single platforming section somewhere.
Henry Cruz
I think you can technically get around doing that with the backdoor route of killing everybody that has the things you need to break Lorkhan's heart.
Oblivion for sure. I didn't realize it seemed weirdly missing until I went through a moving platform section in Nehrim. It's such a small cliche thing but it feels wrong to have your physics engine go to waste without them.
