Where's the tranny cock FX?

You better believe a baby can fly.

...

Didn't realize the human "men" looked so much like nu-males.

Looks familiar

Glad I only played the first. Holy fuck.

we fucked up so bad we had to change the setting to a new galaxy
t. bioware

did we ever figure out how badly it flopped?

A mod that added a laughing track would have made it GOTY.

ftfy

I want to hear an honest opinion. is this game full of these shitty soap opera scenes or did they actually do something good?

I never thought that Inquisitor and Faggot can be applied to a character.

A golden baby?

I'm not retarded, am I? Isn't this about finding a new home for mankind in a foreign galaxy?
How are there still Krogan and Asari?

does it even matter at this point
They went to another galaxy, which is an absurd premise in and of itself

because memes

Yeah, apparently the game is a complete mess, heard of actual fights breaking out at the studio. A ton of developers also left the project. They didn't even have enough work done to show any gameplay or anything at gamescom.

Apparently they came with you, they left before ME3 however so none of your choices in that game will have an impact, the krogan will still be genophaged and such. Don't expect the focus to be on new strange ayy lmaos, it will mostly be the same old.

Do you know what the fights were about? Source?

Yeah, it's pretty absurd in the setting but I guess nobody really cared about the logic of anything past the first game. I mean the reapers just awoke by themselves and they didn't even bother to shut down the relays in the third game like they always do. Shepard was brought back from the fucking dead. Why not let a huge colony ship jump to another galaxy with tech never developed?

This looks like a end of life cycle PS3 game.

why bother

It was one of the devs that said it but I can't remember where I read that. Sorry. I don't think he specified what they were fighting about, just giving it as an example of the troubled development.

Aren't these things supposed to be universally attractive?

Hurrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Wut?

Granted, this is Bioware we're talking about, who booted the whole original team, who cared enough about the game to give it a sort of 1950's space opera feel, what with the light sources glaring like special effects from Star Trek or Lost in Space, and having what's basically a more serious theremin music based track

All this fucking potential wasted. And they've had interspecies relations in the past, so it's not like it interferes with their gaywad fuck party bullshit that they seem to LOVE to push.

Another series wasted by SJW bullshit. I bought 2 as a kid. Then I saw 3. so fucking retarded.

fucking hell.

They were bragging for months about how well it sold.

Andromeda's gonna flop. I have this feeling that their audience has been alienated and they know it, so they aren't going to waste much money on marketing, which will make their release a ghost town.

But if they DO spend money on marketing, they lose. marketing's far too expensive for them to gain any money from it, they won't meet the quota.

...

I don't care how well it sold or not.

But it won Game of the Year a week after it came out and that's a load of crap.

We can keep dreaming but this pile of horse shit will sell on name alone. The entire game could be just 4 hours of homoerotic pre-rendered Krogan buttfucking and it would still profit.

Andromeda will be the Ghostbusters of games.

I'm 23. Anything below 20 is a kid's age to me.
So I bought it when I was 16-17, as I remember getting it first thing because I was gullible.

It's not that far away a time. I was there when I saw my games go to shit.

No, 4 hours of homoerotic Krogan would profit by default, because if you pull that off in a porn circle you'll be hitting half a million dollars on your wallet. Rich fucks have no sense.

But they aren't going to be catering to rich fucks, and even normalfags remember 3's outrage.

I usually trust my gut, and every time I think about that title, it feels empty, like it attracts nothing. My gut feelings are usually right.

Not really, they had two teams at Edmonton and the team that made the Mass Effect games never let you pick a species. Not even in kotor where it would have made more sense storywise. They also basically fired the entire team except for a few key people between each project unlike the old team that had made the BG, NWN and DA games which stayed mostly the same until sort of recently.

The new game is made by an entirely new studio in Montreal (the anti-white one) and they've never made a game before.

The movie about BIG MCLARGEHUGE shows how unoriginal they got at the end of the series. Instead of creating an original movie they decided to play it safe even though we knew what would happen in the movie thanks to the ingame dialogue.

And to think, literally no-one except the most pathetic Holla Forums-tier cucks would complain about the gay stuff at all if Bioware could make a decent fucking game.

How come the most popular thing to do is make the game look washed out

I would of liked if McMahon was Trump's VP

it doesn't work the other way around, bitch boy.

Well this will at least bring a revival to Asari porn.
And I love me some Asari.

It does since you made it a generic insult by overusing it. On the bright side, even as a generic insult it still carries the implication that getting cucked is bad, so, overall, it's a good thing spergs all over the world call each other cucks for all the wrong reasons.

Well, speaking of bright sides, this will probably be Biowares last game when not if, when it flops.

we ready to SPOIL this shit soon to people or what?

how much you fags wanna bet that the pivotal point of the plot is related to some gay-racial stuff?

It is and they don't. Faggot can be applied to everything, lurk more :^)

The real problem isn't that it's there, this has a purpose to set the pace and by juxtapose make the action bits all the more impressive. The real problem is how shit they made it.

not anymore. That might make ugly people feel inferior and triggered.

Same here, but I also went on playing the first installment which made me realize how different the two games are, and the first one had more bite in it's story. Three was a Birthday gift from a sibling.

Mass Effect is a classic example of what happens when you have a series that was never meant to really go anywhere past the first game.
It was left on a sort of cliffhanger, sure, but it really didn't need to be fulfilled. The ending to that game was that you averted the apocalypse despite the odds being crazily stacked against you and only because of several long-shots that paid off. Unfortunately, it was to imply that you only really postponed it and you were likely fucked.
What were the reasons why the reapers wanted to destroy everything? What exactly WERE the reapers?
None of that matters and not knowing that actually made them stronger villains.

And then things fell apart when it came to ME2 and especially 3. As far as I'm concerned, Mass Effect 1 is a self contained game and everything after that has been nothing more than a fan-fiction tier reboot.

Reaper threat being swept under the rug.
The bad guys are the GOOD guys now.
Shepard is so important that he has to be brought back from the dead.
Reapers think humanity is sooooo great that they're going to make some sort of giant human reaper thing out of gooified people…what?
Their reasonsings are revealed as something about culling biological species before they make technological species that will wipe them out? What?

and the list goes on.

Unfortunately, I must live with ME2 and 3 since ME2 is what made the game series ultimately popular and the reason why there is so much of the porn I love and enjoy.

I think the idea behind the Reapers post 1 was "they AI robos and they AI is fucked up son"

Essentially, they're killing and restarting because of a glitch in their programming, which is anti-climatic as shit. It reduces them from some unknowable Lovecratian threat to a broken child's plaything.

When they should be a known threat and a formidable one.

You don't explain the fucking magic, you don't justify it. In a Sci-fi where the "magic" is the enemy, the answer you have to it if you're going to overcome it is "we have no answers as to what this is but we're shooting it anyway"

You don't reduce them as a threat, if you answer questions, something else has to contradict it and outdo it to create even MORE mystery and undo the original answer.

like

Next scene

basically that's how answering a question about a threatening "unknowable" enemy should go down.

You fake em out or you never do it.

Wouldn't the pollen plume dispersion rate be adversely affected by the heavy rain and high humidity?

Shit, I think I wrote that exact sentence in another ME thread a year or two ago. I agree completely, you don't need to play ME2 or ME3 to get full enjoyment out of ME1.

There's that Bioware quality we all know and love.

I don't care about the race selection, they made Shepard human because the entire plot was written about humanity finally getting a spectre, gaining importance in the alliance and they would've had to change a ton of shit/water it down just to have different races.
The problem is what they started doing with ME 2 and culminated in 3's chucklefuck of a story. Playing as other races is completely irrelevant and is a petty thing to whine about.

ME2 bartalk is not canon
but yes, they are supposed to look hot regardless of species

The Reapers were vast and unknowable enemies that were directly influenced by the kind of horrible interdimensional and interplanetary monsters that Lovecraft described. They should have followed through with that concept instead of trying to come up with a motivation for them.

I think this could have worked if they revealed that Cerberus actually knew that there was an ancient threat out there, long before anybody else did, and they were carrying out illegal research and underhanded activities in order to find a way to prevent their return. They also could have given the player the choice to agree with them (by adopting an "ends-justify-the-means mentality) or rejecting their approach and staying with the Alliance. Unfortunately it didn't really pan out like that, and they just ended up being generic bad guys in the third game.

Why is there a new galaxy to begin with? How did they even get there? Even if the mass relays weren't destroyed, the proteans and the reapers never managed to travel to other galaxies. As for the known races, they probably tagged along for the trip.

You answered your on question lad, they booted the original team, the ones who came up with all the original ideas. The Nu-bioware have been coasting on that ever since. Look at the character models to see that they have barely changed from the first game, the human model still looks like a plastic Ken doll.

suuuure.

My guess its real but not in the gameplay sense if they don't lock it 30fps and have small maps. There is too much effects going on so there would be less AI obviously in small maps.

Plus there is going to be zones by my guess.

Waifu confirmed

Generally it not being shit is a common one, but we've already confirmed it's gonna be shit, so we move onto extra complaints.

Is it petty to want variety after the first fucking single character saga is over? Is it petty to ask them to branch out so we don't get the same shit in a different package? It doesn't matter anyway. It's gonna be shit and I'm buying something that is actually worth my time.

Whenever something like that shows up, eventually. It sure ain't this.

If a decent company were to get the rights to ME and do those things, they'd have my money in a heartbeat.

I remember hearing that what you said was what they'd originally planned to do, with the Alliance trying to kill you if you worked with Cerberus, and Cerberus trying to kill you if you worked for the Alliance. Might've just been bull, though.

You can play as all of those in the only part of ME3 that wasn't complete garbage

It was announced as a trilogy from the very get go.

I don't understand people like you, who willfully delude themselves like this.

Yes it was and the problem isn't than in itself, the problem is that they simply never planned it properly at all, that's it.

How well ME1 works as a stand alone game to you doesn't matter.

I always felt like Mass Effect should have been a series of different self contained stories set in the same universe.

In ME1 you play Shepard, the first human spectre, and you stop the apocalypse.

In ME2 you play a Cerberus agent who gathers a team of deadly individuals for a suicide mission against a new alien threat, the Collectors would've been fine if they weren't backed by the Reapers, and were instead just a bunch of creepy bug fucks from Dark Space looking to melt humans into goo to make their shitty version of a Reaper because they felt like they were gods or something, I dunno.

3 should have been anything other than what we got.

He's just butthurt us superior whites don't shit in the streets.

ME2 was always a retarded premise, just buy and build a fleet of ships and kick the shit out of the Collectors. What's a squad of people VS. a massive space ship?

I think they could have pulled off one of the best sci-fi series in videogame history if they had kept their first writer from beginning to end, if they hadn't gotten bought by EA and if they hadn't allowed corporate meddling to taint the entire deal.

The first writers's original idea was shit too.

Nigga it was a trilogy from the start.

It was still a boring as fuck, anemic storyline. If you had played any other BioWare game you had already seen the story.

It was more retarded that they didn't just pay for an army to go in there when it was made apparent that the Illusive man apparently paid billions to bring Shepard back from the dead.

Rolling with the idea of Cerberus still being mostly a black op gone rogue, with less funding than the Alliance, putting a team together to do that instead would have made infinitely more sense.

I dunno, Dark Energy was a better explanation than what we got but it's still kind of dumb.

ME has a good setting and some fun characters, that's more than most RPGs can say. It is still very much a part of the Bioware formula, but at least it's a perfect distillation of that formula.

I thought they stopped sending monkeys into outer space?

Yeah, if you only ever played BioWare or Bethesda "RPGs".

That would have been even worse, not from the perspective of ME2 as a standalone game maybe but the thing about the second part of a series is that it is supposed to solve the questions of the first part and build up to the finale. ME2 didn't do any of that, which is partly why ME3 was so bad. You didn't even get to keep the team you built up in ME2 so you can basically just jump from ME1 to ME3 and not miss anything. The second game should have answered the how of how to defeat the reapers, then the last game should have been about actually stopping them for good. It wouldn't even necessarily be about them invading but Shutting them down or locking them down in hibernation for good, something that neutralised them as a threat.

Whites are pretty much extinct in the Mass Effect setting. Guess the Jews won.

yeah this problem is going for ages. like how hard is to make those things like you wrote
oh wait they kicked all their decent workers

btw

You know what really pisses me off about Sera? There's another equally unattractive character in another game but has actually a decent personality that makes Rachel likable as a character.

She's a britbong so it makes sense for her to be a butterface.

It's only ever been used to insult morons who act against their own interests out of a misplaced sense of justice. Just like cuckoldry, you moron.

Binary Domain is a game that doesn't get the attention it deserves.

It actually does team bonding far better than ME ever did, making it an organic affair that ties into the gameplay proper.

And the beep boop logical robot character is actually made interesting too.
And for once I'm actually in favor of diversity in such a game.

Yeah, all the characters, even the asshole brit, are actually likeable in their own unique ways. Even the MC, despite being a stereotypical roided up American hero actually comes through.

Leave it to the Japs to do a better third person shooter with choices and consequences than BioWare managed with a massive budget and three games.

And the really hilarious part is that this was a side project for the developer, something to fill the time until the next Yakuza.

I would love to continue playing it, but too bad you can't really control it with mouse+keyboard. There's some utterly retarded acceleration that makes you flip 180° if you move your mouse fast. There's a car chase scene you literally can't get past, because you'd need to track enemies faster than the accelerated turning speed.

Real shame too, because I really liked the characters, voice acting and facial animations.

Wait, are you implying a science fiction game made entirely by social science majors wouldn't have a clear grasp on simple biophysical concepts?

Part of the reason for that was because its controls were absolute shit; I actually beat the game with that abysmal reverse mouse acceleration nonsense. Would definitely have been a decent game were that not the case.

...

Wasn't there a setting or a patch for it? I remember bypassing it in some way.

I don't remember having any issues with the controls.

...

You just explained why Holla Forums-tier cucks is a perfectly fine insult. Thanks m8.

I'm wondering. What the hell happened in Bioware?

Everything became shit, literally everything. They brought good games at first. Baldur's Gate, Jade Empire, KotOR, Neverwinter Nights, DA:O and Mass Effect.

And it didn't went shit right after EA bought them (2007). Mass Effect 2 was in 2010 which for me it was still quite good. But then next year came Dragon Age 2 and everything was a mess. Everything went to ruins and each year it became much worse.

It's always the cuckolds who are butthurt about the cuckold insult; mostly because it points them out as the failures they are IRL and online.

Nothing. They always were a shit company, it's just that your shit filter was set so high you only ever notice when they went from merely bad to astonishingly bad.

Only Baldur's Gate and the sequel are, arguably, passable. And even then, only because Black Isle kept the worst of BioWare's idiocy at bay.

Jade Empire is a dud, it plays like shit, doesn't utilize the setting well, the story and characters are boring as fuck and all the promises from BioWare of moving away from their good/evil choice dichotomy were lies.

Is the Force Awakens of Star Wars games. Rehashes pretty much everything from the movies, has nothing original to contribute to the setting despite BioWare being allowed to purposely move the date thousands of years into the past just so they could have creative freedom. It's just one long sequence of pandering (Sith! Stormtroopers! TIE Fighter! Droid Duo! Millennium Falcon). It speaks volumes when a half baked, unfinished mess like KOTOR 2 manages to shit on KOTOR in virtually every instance.

Oh, and the gameplay is shit. The third person camera doesn't let the player have any sort of tactical overview of the battlefield, fights just devolve into clusterfucks (just like with every other BioWare game), but thankfully it doesn't matter because the game offers no challenge whatsoever (just like with every other BioWare game).

Are you fucking kidding me? Godawful game, godawful interface, godawful gameplay. The only saving grace was the modding tools that pretty much proved that one man teams, on their own free time, for free, could deliver RPGs with more depth and better writing than anything BioWare could shit out.

Baldur's Gate without anything that made BG fun, on top of being written by a manchild entering midlife crisis that thinks "mature" means gore, gratuitous sex and cussing, and hopes it will distract people from realizing just how dull the game truly is.

Babby's first space opera, with the same plot as every other BioWare game, with the same party members, same shit interface and gameplay and same good/evil choices. Dull, lifeless, vomit inducing textures and graphics, barren as a feminist's womb. I still cannot comprehend how anyone could view this soulless joke as a game worthy of praise.

Of course it didn't, BioWare was shit from the start. People like to blame EA for it, but the truth is that BioWare was only ever popular due to the fact they rose to prominence during a period where no competition existed in the cRPG niche, and stayed popular because people looked back at their games with rose tinted nostalgia goggles.

the plebs will eat that shit up. Consoles aren't even capable of rendering those effects and they will 100% cerin be downgraded for the PC as well

If I remember correctly there were no niggers in ME1. What the hell happened [spoiler]is that BioWare was bought by EA and went full cultural marxist[//spoiler]?

lol

retard

...

Udina and Anderson are hispanics, I presume?

That's an awful lot of projection there, friendo.

cool wheres the porn

Anybody has the link/pic of the artist's blog? Where shepard became saren and he had to face a young beginner spectre?

truth hurts, huh

I wouldn't know, but I almost feel sorry for you.

And being against degeneracy acts against our own interests how, reddit?

webm for you.

Binary Domain actually makes use of the characters' diverse backgrounds to add to their characters, what with the bantz involving the chick being from rural china, the brit being a snobbish elitist, and everybody shitting on the americans.
characters don't benefit from useless details, unless something contributes to the story, characters, or setting, it shouldn't be brought up at all.

what do you mean why? they want to do a side story without the citadel and reapers poking their ass in to it.
now ur-quan can be the bad guys again

I'm still mad no one was autistic (and brave) enough to do a "Best of…" video displaying all the highlights of the writing.

I know there's far worse in the game than "Ride the Bull".

Their bantz actually humanize them. So much characterization is built up over those moments of ribbing each other off or merely discussing things. They do more for the characters than all of BioWare's 10+ years of muh daddy issues whining put together.

One of the major things that BioWare seems incapable of understanding about characters is that they need to be likeable first, and fill the gender/race/mental illness quota a distant second.

Big Bo is instantly likeable because he is a well voiced character that meshes well with the MC. You can instantly get why the two of them are best friends. As the Toddler would say "It just works".

Meanwhile, BioWare has been incapable of getting the most basic character archetype, the tsundere, right ever since Baldur's Gate 2.

Question to all who've played the entire series.
I've only played through so many times because I keep losing my saves

Are the other ones worth playing? I heard there is an animu that bridges the evens of ME2 and 3 and that there is supposed to be two books that bridge the events between ME3 and Andromeda.

...

Does this new galaxy have relays? If not, how will they travel from planet to planet? If yes, are there reapers in this galaxy?

You didn't expect actual patriarchal, factual, evidence-based science in a nu-male, SJW sci-fi all-transgender extravaganza did you?

Yeah but they will be the new ret-conned butt-uggly Asari, the kind that don't trigger fat fucks on Twitter and Tumblr for having cheekbones and a visible jawline.

ME1 was good. It had potential. The retro-sci-fi feel with the suits and the music, it was all good, if not great because it was unpolished as shit. And then 2 comes out and fucks everything up to get the "hardcore" audience with fancy new "rock music" and reverting to a reload system retconning previous lore that reloading is no longer an issue because I don't even fucking know why.

ride the bull is at least silly and 'fun'. i doubt any dialogue in the game is as bad as what they did to that poor elf.

2 is meh compared to the original, but in my opinion worth playing for the characters. 3 is dogshit except for Tuchanka.
I haven't read any of the books, but I've heard very bad things. Same for the animu.

The short answer is no.

The slightly longer answer is fuck no. ME2 is a pointless side story with a main dish of edgy, and ME3 is just shit. Pic related is the kind of writing quality you can expect.

benis

>no race selection

Okay Holla Forums, when i get home from work i will now start sending this guy poo in the loo related tweets every single day until he either responds violently or simply blocks me.

Make a sufficient number of sock puppets and keep at it. Be sure to screencap everything the currynigger says.

Got a suggestion for a good 10 minute burner email service?

I just google "10 minute mail" and go with the first result.

Also, there really should be a separate thread to recruit more people to poke at the little shit.

Out of 3 games, there's only about a tenth of one that actually deals with the big bads in the series.

Dear god that's horrible. How did anyone there think it was anything other than absolute trash before the publisher even saw it?

Holla Forums the post

So it describes Holla Forums perfectly, then.

Cuckoldry has nothing to do with "acting against your own interests out of a misplaced sense of justice."

Degeneracy isn't a real thing. Sorry.

Kill yourself.

Nice.

...

Also good.

I'm sorry, reddit, but getting poisoned by chemicals, having your culture and people destroyed and getting arab dick up your bum before they behead you isn't really in your best interest.

Good thing none of those things are happening, then.

You're forgetting the multiplayer.

...

Yes, and its old footage too. Can't wait to see the downgrades
I'm pretty sure space will be a no go for a long time after these trainwrecks

...

I'll dump some other shit I have while I'm at it.

Good comeback. Except I'm still not getting poisoned, my culture and people aren't being destroyed and I've never had an arab dick up my bum.

You're really just kind of illustrating my point about Holla Forums-tier cucks.

current generation of gamer are retard.
while the old one is fine with lovecraft and the idea of absolute and un beatable entity
the current one would want to be abble to defeat cthulu …
but that would completly annihilate the myth.

youtube.com/watch?v=OaRdcVYTjRw
i mean even if harbinger have a cool boss voice, he become more and more laughable by the end of ME2 and incredibly idiot in ME3

(well thankfully that voice was even more badass elswere … in a darker world youtube.com/watch?v=XwODnnfra3A wraithlord quotes )

The last game should have been about buying time so that the galaxy can either hide varied species somewhere or put them on on a cyroship into deepspace, etc
With you trying to find info to simply slow down the reapers, develop the necessary tech and indirectly choosing which systems get destroyed and which species gets saved, if any at all

While I agree with the points you make about the Cthulhu mythos, the Reapers aren't Cthulhu, and Mass Efect isn't a cosmic horror game. The Reapers aren't a completely impenetrable, unknowable threat - they're just extremely dangerous and very technologically advanced. Even in the first game Sovereign was in very serious danger of getting rekt by the Citadel races, which is why it needed to act through cat's-paws and intermediaries until all the pieces were in place.

Take in mind that Sovereign and the Reapers in general got completely punked by a small team of Protheans who worked out how to sabotage the Keepers.

And this was all in the first game. The Reapers were never meant to be an irresistable force or a completely unmanageable threat.

I hope not a single white person buys his games.

I would hate for Bioware's profits to be tainted by 'racism'.

I remember trying like 3 differents ways to fix the mouse problem and none of them ever felt right. I just got tired of having to close the program, open the settings, tweak, save, restart program,
OH LOOK IT'S STILL NOT RIGHT
ad nauseum

I mean, he obviously doesn't WANT white people to buy his games, so it would be rude of us to go against his wishes.

And this is why curryniggers belong in their designated shitting street back in India.

Fuck, didn't want to post this pic.

What?

Isn't he Canadian? Wasn't 11/9 muslims? What terror do patriotic white Canadians inflict upon a pajeet?

Considering how well the anti-mayorities campaign worked for the new Ghostbusters I'd say your statement isn't that far away from what actually will happen.

Same as you. Good times coming home from martial arts and sitting down to experiencing Mass Effect for the first time.

Obviously he doesnt feel canadian or even at home there, which is why we should help him get back to his designated street in India. He will be happy and we will be happy.

I'm pretty sure it was, but the main writing left Bioware after the EA buyout and Mack "The Hack" Walters took over. You really have to wonder how Garrus' writer could be such a fuck up.

Not being progressive enough

Waifu material.

Man I wish I could transform this into an actual statment.

I have a biofag friend that would sperg so much if I tell him this.
When it was made public that bioware is on the berge of bankrupcy his response to me delivering the news was (and I quote) "This is really strange, their decission taking games were something revolutionary"

...

It seems your friend is quite "progressive". Be catious user

WHERE IS THE FEMALE KROGAN PORN

...

Literally Holla Forums in one post.

The fuck does this even mean?

Really? because what I see is something akin to The Matrix.
First movie was getting popular and so they said "We meant to make more movies the whole time! HA HA!" to give you the illusion of a plan.

You know what though, maybe they pulled what Star Trek TNG and Voyager were very guilty of doing often; Say they were going to do a multiple part episode, one ends a season and one begins a season, without really planning out what the second part is going to be.
So maybe that's what happened.
Just a vague concept of "well maybe we'll do two more games if this first one sells well enough" and so the writing and the way the other two games came out really reflects this.
Remember, 2 is pretty much a reboot of the series. You don't need to have played 1 to get 2 and vice-versa. Your decisions held nearly no weight and only seemed to change things a bit cosmetically between 1 and 2.

I'm sorry, but all things point to a team making the first Mass Effect game with no hopes realistic intentions of making more of them.

It's really depressing to think that Microsoft Game Studios were better publishers than EA.

...

You are ignoring facts now, during development of the first game it was already being pushed as a trilogy.

...

So then my second assumption is more than likely true.
Look, I don't give a fuck what was said when the evidence is right there on the 3 ME game discs. And the evidence shows that only games 2 and 3 were made with the intentions of being together. 1 was definitely not.

Don't be that sort of faggot that just listens and believes. You need to learn to look at the evidence which in this case is in the nature of the products produced.
Do you really think they would have made more games if ME1 didn't sell well enough to warrant it?
Hell no.

So its either the case of "The Matrix" where the creators said "uhh..we wanted to make a trilogy all along!" or its the case of the Star Trek TNG and Voyager series where they went in with intentions of multi-part episodes but never bothered to, you know, actually flesh out the second parts of those episodes until after the first one was done.

In short, don't be so gullible, user. That's how you get suckered into greenlight and kickstarter abortions.

fenoxo.com/play/playtits.html

do it !

Mass Effect: Deception has to be the worst trainwreck of a tie in novel I've ever seen.
It was so bad that they actually promised a rewrite (which never happend because it was all damage control).

The cut stuff from ME2 was also semi-interesting: The tutorial would have been playing as Liara salvaging Shepards corpse while teaming up with Legion, Shepard was initially supposed to be resurrected by the Geth and Legion was a early companion which is why they have voice lines for nearly every mission.

Well, you can always cut your dick off, but you'll still never be a grill.

too much furry shit

...

...

That's not why Karpyshn left. He wrote the majority of ME2, then was forcibly transferred to work on SWTOR. He left the company after that.

They also axed a bunch of other writers, like the guy who wrote the AIs and most of the codex in 1 and 2.

They did make it a standalone game intentionally in case it flopped and they did only have a couple of sentences of planning for the rest of the series. The real problem was both that the team was almost completely different which each game and since EA didn't know if it would sell or not they didn't invest more money and time into pre-production to cover the entire trilogy. Otherwise you'd see clever foreshadowing in the first game that would come into play in the third and things like that.

As it is they went completely off the rails with the second game and only barely managed to have the third game finish the story that the first game started.

...

If you had any knowledge of ME at all you'd have known that the lead writer was replaced after ME1 and that yes, it was always intended as a trilogy.

yeah this problem is going for ages. like how hard is to make those things like you wrote
oh wait they kicked all their decent workers

btw

FUCK

Even if the future, we still have exploding barrels…

...

I just like the whole fade thing they made with the DA universe, I dont want to swallow an entire cringeworthy game just because I like the setting, fucking hell

Is it just me or the animations are worse than 2 or even origins?

Man, I don't even care if characters are unattractive if they're well-written.

If the game is revolving around relationships and having sex with them then the characters should be kinda good looking, That's one of many points where Inquisition fails. Binary Domain push you to fuck rachel in any way so no one really has a problem with rachel

sadly yes.
to be fair this game is a failure.
while Corruption of champion where nice and had an overall guidline.

this was is just a mix of any random backer/patreon fantasy with no guidline whatsoever, just to please everyone.

My autism dislikes this unintentional contradiction.

Wait… Disregard that I suck cocks.

*doesn't push you to fuck

It does push you on the qt from china though

And notice how when we have these kinds of threads she isn't brought up in the topic. There's nothing much of note to her besides the fact that she is hot.

I initially read it as "force unleashed" as well. I think a lot of us don't want to admit to ourselves that Force Awakens exists

first one is just as shit, friend, i have no idea where this retarded "DA:O WUZ A MASTERPEECE" meme even comes from

It was decent enough, it was not as bad as the other 2, the setting is creative on most aspects

I just really like any kotor game

I only hope that Andromeda will have some cool and/or hot new alien races.
Also female bi/straight turian romance would be nice.
It's not the same that dicking, I mostly play as man and to be honest I have never seen lesbians as attractive as everyone clam.
Beside It's just not fair that only female characters can fuck aliens that actually look like aliens and male characters only got coloured humans.

Finally! Someone with common sense! Now user, gather some food and take it with your sister to the nearest refugee camp. Tell your sister to dress sexy too, since the nice Arab men feel better after light flirting. Remember, its up to you to be the example for others!

I was just never a big fan of the neverwinter nights style. The only reason I enjoyed KOTOR at all was because the sound of blaster fire and those half-hearted death groans make me smile.

It's only not shit in retrospect because the other two was even shittier. Okay, I admit to having fun with it. It's a decent BG2 clone.

Don't worry user, Pajeet has got you covered.

why? the game will be shit, so that would be horrible waste of cool assests

...

Oh god, if only they could have known

because fanarts

I dunno Fallout 4 wasn't very good and I still want to caress the Assaultron.

user, you just have shit taste.

Isn't it funny how The Witcher 3 managed to do this way better and with far less of the preachy bullshit?

In fact, how salty must Bioware be that the Witcher 3 even had a more nuanced and impactful exploration of LGBT issues in a bit-part character you saw for all of five minutes than they have in their entire back catalogue?

They hired David Gaider a gay right activist, whom later managed to secure himself a position, where he could influence the hiring process of Bioware resulting a bunch of leftwing homosexual joining the company. Everyone else left.

The reapers were never meant to be explained, it's why Soveregn dances around the question, because you can't udnerstand him. he can tell you to your face what he is and you will not understand.

Then they hired on a second writer who proceeded to fuck up everything, then they got rid of the original writer and had a team of chucklefucks making the 3rd game.

SOME

Does it help that I also want to fuck just about everything from Warframe?

If i remember correctly witcher 3 is reason why DA:I released earlier then planed. EA know they would lose if they went nose to nose or come after witcher 3.

That was meant for you but apparently I went into some sort of autistic fit and responded to the wrong post.

I hope they include some form of dig at Witcher 3 in ME4. DA:I was directly competing against it and it came worse off, and likely resulted in a big loss of sales for BioWare.

But really, BioWare is completely incapable of decent writing because they are all about pandering to tumblr, and tumblr is mentally ill and can never be pleased. It's even worse because they keep shoving all these silly issues into settings that clearly would be better off without them.

I mean, do medieval people even give a shit about faggots when a demon invasion is going on? And that's ignoring the whole point of feudalism and why ensuring a stable line of succession was paramount to stability.

What about eldritch abominations coming to shaoh us all? Do we have time to listen to the Curry Thunder talk about the evils of the white man?

Gayder used to be a cool guy back in the BG2 days. He even released a mod for Throne of Bhaal, for free, that increased the difficulty and restored cut content.

Then he went off the deep end like most nu male cucks desperate for pussy (or penis in his case) and the rest is history.

You can be forgiven for getting diamonds with the Warframe "suits". They do look pretty neat.

Personally most unbelievable part of DA:I is that no one makes kids, feralden and orleais both don't have heir to the throne and look how it fucked feralden in first game. start fucking you lazy blue bloods.

I want to protect that smile

Naw, it was because Sovereign had no idea what was wrong with the Citadel and he needed someone to investigate and be a "face"
The only reason they took out Sovereign was the combined firepower of several fleets along with the fact that you disrupt his systems by killing Saren

That IS attractive, you shitlord!

I want to see people defending shrek's beauty when this is released

...

Wheres the new races? The Humies, Tentacle Ladies, Krogans, Space Gypsies and Space Autists were nearly made extinct by the Ancient Space Evil. The remnants of the old races should really have been outfucked by the young races that would have evolved by the time. Assuming this game is set in the far future and the Ancient Space Evil is coming back to do its removal job

It was only two fleets really, and the first one got fucked by a surprise attack by the Geth. Sovereign didn't even enter the fray until he rushed the Citadel.

Sovereign is way cooler than Harbinger. Not just a better name, he didn't do the whole "NEXT TIME SHEPPARD, NEXT TIME" shtick everytime he and Sheppard interacted.

It takes place in another galaxy you stupid fuckwit.

Rude. Why are there the same races then? all of the relays got blown up by pretty dues ex machina colours?

Space magic got a whole ark with all of the old races to Andromeda.

Vigil specifically stated that Sovereign had to avoid revealing itself because it might unite the Council races against it. Reapers are not invulnerable. They're just technologically advanced and very powerful.

Kill yourself.

Because BioWare fucked up so bad with the ME3 ending that they refused to fix despite fans being willing to pay extra for it that they had to relocate the story to another galaxy.

The shit lore reason is because the Citadel races sent a colony ship before the Reapers came to shoah them.

Here is a handy definition chart by their premier writer to help make things more understandable. You are clearly not as talented at storytelling as BioWare.

...

fat fuck now works for CDPR and does same making up lies as he did in bioware

I think he got fired for making some kind of un-PC joke at bioware aimed at Felicia Day or how is that nuuurd girl called

Did they hire him because they can pay him with food? Or is it because he works for free?

got it
I think the concept was still handled very awfully after the first game

It's Fellatio May.

Oh, no, I'm not disputing that at all. I'm just saying that Reapers were never invulnerable, just a really big threat.

BODY

ONCE

TOLD

in my skin

Well that explains the quality, they know their shit.

I agree completely, it's why the magic reaper-beam in 3 was the worst possible idea. If two standard fleets could take a reaper out even after being taken by surprise, the entire galaxy banded together should do just fine, especially after they all made the new reaper-tech based weaponry and stuff.

The Normandy 2 can 2-shot a super carrier class ship despite being a goddamned frigate at best, so why are there no dreadnoughts being made with those liquid metal guns?

Why do they keep doing this, why is a fast moving maneuverable jetpack so taboo? Dark Void did it right and that game is half trash.

That piece of shit was hired for damage control. At the time the downgrade of Witcher 3 was a hot topic and who could extinguish rage better than the faggot who shut down discussions during the ME3 ending debacle.

I don't get how people still view CDProjekt as good Devs. They sold out longbagovjust like many before them.

Long ago* sorry, writing on phone

I liked TW3 a lot, until they disappoint I will continue to think of them as good devs. We'll see how Cyberpunk 2077 turns out.

How many fleets do you think were around in the galaxy? Even if there was just one thousand reapers, you would need 2000 fleets to take them out. Let's say post sovereign upgrades made each ship 1.5x as effective, and this is totally unrealistic as they citadel races would lack the funds to refit every ship in their arsenal with new weaponry, armor, shields, engines and so on, but let's say for the fun of it that it works. Remember that the Alliance navy operated 8 fleets at the start of ME3. Even with a 1.5x improvement on every ship, and therefor a 1.5x improvement on the fleet as a whole, you go from killing 4 reapers to 6. That's assuming each reaper is isolated, which they weren't.

The entirety of the council races together, Asari, Salarians, Turians and Humans, had less than 30 fleets, I could see it being stretched to 35 or even 40 at the most. It doesn't matter, it's still a fraction of a fraction of what would be needed to fight the reapers in fleet vs. fleet scenarios.

Reapers were a great enemy, there really was no way to beat them. The game ending should have ended with Shepard dying and a cutscene with some future alien uncovering Liaras memory box. They ruined them by making you able to kill one.

Ashley on Omega?

I've not heard of it, but I'm going to make an educated guess that it's /hgg/ material

It's a great fap. Sadly no one reuploaded it when it got remove by the author.

I think the Thanix Cannon is a way bigger upgrade than you think. It essentially allows the Normandy to instantly fuck up a ship 50x it's size. If you mount the same type of gun on a dreadnought, of which the Turians were churning out like crazy even before the post-Sovereign arms race, then each on could probably take out a reaper on their own, with plenty of room to spare.

If we can scrape the funds to not only develop but build a magic space gun, they can work on some more dreadnoughts. This isn't even taking into account the DLC, which adds in the species that created the Reapers and lets you hijack Reaper forces. 750 Cycles means there weren't even THAT many of them to deal with, and not all of them are very big like the one you fight on Rannoch.

Is the thanix cannon the weapon you find that left a bigass canyon you can see from space on one of the planets?

The downgrade was pretty shit, I'll admit. Still, W3 was a good game, and pretty much the best open-world RPG around (not that that's saying much though).

I'll hold my judgement until they showcase what they've done with 2077.

No, it's the liquid metal gun that the Turians made from scraps of Sovereign. You buy it in ME2 to blow up the Collector Carrier.

That big gun does show that even conventional weapons can kill a reaper. Even Tuchanka has a mass driver that would do the trick.

Then what was the thing that left a scar on a planet? Another dead end like the rapidly dying sun? Fuck, I cant remember anything from ME3

Maybe your shit filter is malfunctioning?
Could it be because your own brain is overflowing with shit, so you're getting false positives?

Evidently not, since the Turians got fucking demolished and it's stated in lore Thanix armed ships were widespread in human and other citadel race fleets. Even the Normandy couldn't 1v1 a baby like the one on Rannoch, what about a capital ship like Sovereign? It would be a slaughter.

They developed space magic weapon after the reapers had already invaded, after the alliance fleet was heavily upgraded with thanix weapons, and ground forces had been given thanix missiles.

Okay, so lets say max 800 reapers, since there were some from before the cycles started. You would need 1200 fleets to kill them. Even with thanix weaponry, since the Alliance had it and they still got trashed, the turians had it and they still got trashed, the asari had it and they still got trashed and so on. The Citadel council had max 40 fleets. Even all the citadel races combined probably had max 50 or 60 fleets. You still aren't anywhere close to stopping the reapers.

It's for this reason that the ending is even more painful, since they created an unbeatable enemy and them space magic a victory when it should have been a bitter defeat.

No, it was some sort of superweapon that Cerberus salvaged and is never spoken of again. You get that info right before the derelic Reaper mission in ME2.

That was just a big-ass gun, like the mass driver on Tuchanka.

Wait, missiles? How does a liquid metal missile work? 3 fucked up the power-level of everything.

Not even Bioware knows. Just read Thanix as whatever we had but better and it all works.

Blegh, glad that ME2 was the last bioware game I bought but I should have stopped way earlier.

Stranger things have happened in reality.

...

"Dark Energy" was almost certainly a pseudonym for some sort of issue with the Mass Effect.

To be honest the entire idea of invicible spaceships fucked up any hope of Mass Effect retaining any of the hard sci-fi credentials it seemed to desperately want to possess - ESPECIALLY after that big speech the navyman gave about relativistic projectiles in ME2.

No, I'm sorry, but if your evil space cuttlefish are shrugging off stuff going at 1.3% the speed of light, they're made of fucking bullshit space magic.

>tfw even the SFM-pornfags on tumblr can't fix this shit

A combined Asari-Turian fleet and a Human fleet.

Reapers are insanely powerful, that was clearly mentioned.
They are not invulnerable, but when you need an entire fleet to stop just one Reaper, it's simply a war of attrition you cannot win.

Reapers are more mobile and more powerful can pick and choose whom and where to attack. You cannot defeat such an opponent, even if you could somehow have a parity in overall firepower (which you don't), since they will simply bleed you dry, and fast.

The amount of loose plot threads they left in the first two games is fucking astounding really.

Thing is, according to the few unlucky souls who read it, Deception is a huge fucking trainwreck from cover to cover.

It's nothing compared to the number they left in the third.

is… wuh… what
is he a second generation streetshitter? he apparently doesn't understand the loving relationship between Islam and India

Shouldve removed the eye brows. Would bang.

Explain pls, I never played 3 after I read the leaked script.

Dotheads and ricegoblins absorb all the decolonialist shit like sponges and love going full GILL WHIDEY :DDD mode.

The hilarious thing is I was enough of an idiot back then that I would still have probably bought ME3 if they'd released it on Steam. But EA's insistence on ME3 being Origin-exclusive led me to boycott all EA games until they were released on a not-shit storefront.

Turns out I dodged a bullet.

It never wanted to be hard sci-fi. Hard sci-fi focuses on realism. Mass Effect only ever wanted verisimilitude.

This thing?

pastebin.com/YDvtpCQC

The Fade is basically The Warp in Warhammer.

talk about grinding :^)

I hope this guy dies a horribly painful death.

He was the guy who stirred up shit about the new Desu Sex game too. That's usually a pretty big no no in the industry yet he's still not fired.

Drowned in poo

Likely because no one else is willing to work for BioWare.

The company is basically on its last leg, and when ME4 fails, it will take the cesspit with it.

what an ungrateful cuck

For someone who seems to hate Bioware games, you seem to have played quite a few of them despite hating the company. Why do you keep giving them your money user?

...

He thinks the KKK's gonna bother to come all the way to Canada just to kill him. He expects there's a white person around every corner just waiting to kill him. He has that level of mental instability, and yet he still works for a AAA developer and is allowed to tweet that garbage from his company account.

Not for long, MEA will probably flop and EA will then shut the studio down.

The lengths people will go just for political social points from their circle jerk social clubs.

Like I said at the end, BioWare rose to prominence during a period where there was not much in the way of cRPGs.

You had Bethesda, you had indies like Spiderweb, and you had BioWare, if you wanted your fix that's what you had offered.

Baldur's Gate specifically received all the attention and praise because it was seen as a revitalization of what was thought to be a dead genre.

here is that "woke" word again. I don't get it, it's just retarded nigger speak or what?
Every time I read it it brings my piss to a boil though

Him having shit opinions isn't really the issue since he is a subhuman shit monkey. The fact a corporation like EA allows him to keep chimping out unchallenged is what is really surprising.

Either they agree with him or simply give so few fucks about BioWare they don't particularly care how his behavior damages the company image.

Bet you dont even know who yakub is, smh fam

Considering Bioware's recent output I wouldn't be surprised if they hated whites more than him.

That's what I meant, the lengths they will go just to look appealing to their social clubs that could throw them under the bus at a moments notice.

Isn't Yakub pretty much the Black version of Xenu

Holy shit I love you user.

Are you people fucking retarded? The fuck are you talking about? I had no problems with the mouse at all. Do you play at 3000 dp or some stupid shit?

#staywoke famalam

Why are there plotholes even in the graphics trailer?

There were slight differences in the ending scene with some characters dying, betraying you or just everyone surviving. It wasn't anything amazing.

...

What on earth are you on about? They rose to prominence during an era when CRPGs and WRPGs were reaching their peak.

It's nice of you to show us just how underage you really are summerfag.

You haven't proven me wrong, and RPGs certainly haven't been as good the past few gens as they were back in that period.

I know that nigger but I really don't wanna wade through all the shit that will make me hurt people outside my window

Here, even kikepedia mentions the fact.
>According to IGN, Baldur's Gate did much to revive the role-playing video game genre.[24] John Harris of Gamasutra wrote that it "rescued computer D&D from the wastebasket."[5]

>The game had low sales expectations from Interplay,[25] but was a financial success, selling over two million copies worldwide.[26][27] According to GameSpy, "Baldur's Gate was a triumph [that] single-handedly revived the CRPG and almost made gamers forgive Interplay for Descent to Undermountain".[28]

Are you even trying?

I forgive you user, I truly do, it's not your fault you were born mentally challenged.

They knew shit about RPGs, what they mean is that they made RPGs casual again.

Diablo and Fallout were released before Baldur's Gate user. The genre wasn't magically dead just because some devs were making the transition to 3D. Quit acting like an idiot, there were a lot of RPGs and RPG hybrids around back then besides Baldur's Gate.

I don't think you fully understand what was going on during that period.

Interplay was facing financial troubles (that in the end culminated with Van Buren getting shitcanned) and pretty much every other Western RPG developer out there had been dropping the ball for a while, and was either closing down or in the process of doing so due to extremely low sales.

The industry at large was viewing cRPGs as relics that could not justify the necessary investment with a profitable marketshare. Baldur's Gate went from a predicted financial failure to a success story that showed there actually was a market for this kind of game.

No shit you stupid cockgobling. Diablo wasn't a cRPG, and Fallout was released by the same publisher as Baldur's Gate.

It pretty much was. Interplay decided to cancel Van Buren, Fallout then went on to be turned into a Jagged Alliance wannabe and a console game before quietly being shelved, until Bethesda picked up the rights for it.

Van Buren wasn't until years later, what does that have to do with Baldur's Gate in 1998?

And yes Diablo was a CRPG, it was an RPG released as a PC game. Pretty much how it works.

You don't have any proof that RPGs were dead in that time before Baldur's Gate came around, only that D&D hadn't really had any games do anything for a while.

Proof that Interplay did not view Fallout as a viable IP due to poor sales of FO2. BG sold ten times the number of copies.

Planescape, for comparison, barely made it to 80k.

It's a hack and slash. Completely different audience than the crowd that would buy Fallout and the like, or are you going to pretend Wizardry, Diablo and Fallout all appeal to the same audience?

I have more proof that you do, so I rest my case. Stay salty, and remember what it's like to be proven wrong.

...

The entire "downgrade" bullshit smacked of paid shills

Holla Forums loses interest in that kind of shit within a couple weeks, it doesn't drag on with no end for literally months unless someone is intentionally pushing it every single day

The hate train against NMS is already petering out and there'll be fewer and fewer threads about it over the next week. There's not even any undertale hate threads around anymore either.

And it's relatively rare for Holla Forums to build up even one or two images where they lie or misdirect intentionally to push a narrative - it's usually just for trolling purposes, but "people" were using them seriously, and the last time I'd seen that kind of crap was during the console wars when it's a certainty there was shilling from sony and microsoft going on.

It's fucking obvious one of the bigger companies wanted to kill their competition by attacking first-day sales with an irrelevant "issue". It'll probably happen to CDPR's next game, too. And anything CDPR does will get 10x the scrutiny of any other developer, and any actual fuckup will get blown out of proportion.

Just look at how the media treats Trump.
I don't understand how people can't see the same bullshit being applied everywhere else.

They appeal to the audience who just wants to play a good RPG. Sales aren't always proof of if a game was better or worse than another one. You still don't have proof the genre was dead before Baldur's Gate came around.

Not for long. I don't have any concrete numbers but it seems to me that DA:I was pretty much made on a shoestring budget by the Z team, basically anyone that didn't have the resume to jump the sinking ship.

ME4 looks even worse considering how little preview material has been "leaked" out so far.

Not really, it's obvious that CDPR lied about what the game was going to look like, and then tried to bullshit their way through by justifying it by saying they didn't have the resources to develop two separate versions of the game.

It's obvious compromises in the graphical fidelity, and likely gameplay, were done in order to make the game run on shit console hardware.

Actually, they've had far more shit forgiven and given a free pass more often than most devs do, just like with Obsidian.

Holla Forums is willing to give the benefit of the doubt to developers that are perceived as good. Like I said before, I'm willing to withhold my judgment of them until I see what they've done with 2077.

If it's another third person game, only this time with chest high cover to hide behind, and nothing like the promised hardcore combat/multiple and diverse backgrounds game they said it would be I'll just shelf them into "wasted potential".

...

Jesus fuck, what was the point of that? Why does a game need to have this? How much time and resources where spent making all this that could have been spent making the game not shit?

The laugh track just fits because this is the same shit you see on tv but you just know there's gotta be at least one rejected tv producer on that team.

don't you get it dude? it's PROGRESSIVE

do you seriously not like that scene because it's actually hilarious and if you don't like it you aren't PROGRESSIVE, you're just a hate-filled bigot who wants to literally slaughter all oppressed homosexuals and poc's

Does that mean I still have to install origin or not?

Oh, YOU guys think it's fucking irritating? Try actually being LGBT. Trust me, it's way more embarassing and cringeworthy for us.

As a bisexual that picture you posted really sums up exactly how I feel about EA and Biowoib.

>>>/oven/

Nah, they're pre-Origin versions.
Unfortunately, they come without most of the DLC, and back then there was no requirement to sell a game's DLC through Steam itself.
You're expected to set up an EA / Origin account, pass an online check at the main menu, and buy the DLC directly from EA. You can easily crack the games, turn off the online check, and Steam doesn't care either way.

...

>>>Holla Forums

The only reason they've avoided being Westwood'ed so far is that ME & DA have been successful franchises in genres that are hugely popular. Can't say that about strategy games, which have always been niche.

In the past few years though, Bioware has seen its founders leave/been forced out, enormous portions of staff leave (look at the credits of ME1 vs ME3) and Andromeda being handed over to a new Canada team headed up by a massive racist asshole. He will probably be asked to resign, but word has been getting out about fights at the studio over how development is progressing.

The DA series underperformed after the first game, both DA2 and Inquisition sold less than Origins. Mass Effect 3 sold pretty well but I doubt Andromeda will due to both how many people still remember the third game and the development issues that point to the game being a trainwreck. If MEA does indeed flop I think EA might "reorganise" the Bioware studios.

They fucked that up after the first game. The reason they appeared as female is because in order for them to be visually depicted at all they had to have a definite form, so to Commander Shepard that form is what he or she would personally consider to be the most attractive (since the playerbase is largely heterosexual males anyways). But the point is that they only appear exactly as they do to Shepard, and if you asked someone else to describe their appearance you'd get something different. In ME2 there are neon outlines of Asari with titties and all on signs which goes against their whole point in the first place because it wouldn't convey "Asari" to anyone who doesn't like traditionally attractive human females.

I've finally found another person that also hates KOTOR 1. The only reason that people like it is because it was the first RPG that was filled to the brim with voice acting and cutscenes and the people that like it are casuals since they are too casual to understand the appeal of actual RPGs that aren't just movies with shitty gameplay in between. And that kind of game would be fine in my eyes if the writing was actually good, but it wasn't. The plot twist was neat but it didn't really make any sense. If you want a story that is full of crazy twists that might not make too much sense under a microscope go play Danganronpa and see it done properly. If you want actual good writing in a Star Wars setting then play KOTOR 2. KOTOR 1 just has nothing going for it other than a couple minor parts that other games do far better.

I think you're reaching, user. The reason people here cared so much about the TW3 downgrade is because they felt that they trusted CDPR. They didn't expect a downgrade from them of all companies since they seemed so pro consumer and PC focused which made them feel betrayed. I say them because I've hated these games since the first one but I did respect CDPR to some extent. Noone here ever gave a shit about the NMS devs so while everyone here might hate them there's no need to make a point about it. That's another factor too, many people came to the defense of CDPR even on this board and even more still admit that it's a good game (it's actually garbage though and only casuals like it). If there is disagreement then people will keep fighting and shitting on it. There's no disagreement about NMS, it is universally seen as garbage.

Now you might be asking why Fallout 4 hate threads lasted so long because it's universally seen as shit too. Unlike NMS, Bethesda and the Fallout franchise both have a history that was at some point widely loved around here. Most people here think that Morrowind is one of the best games of all time, at least in terms of writing. Most people here also really like Fallout 1, 2, and NV. Fallout 4 channeled the betrayal from anyone who liked Fallout or Morrowind and hated AAA casual gaming, and the leaks that sparked the Boston Salt Parties certainly helped too.
