Idk, stuff like Gorgon can body even a good team with how broken acid spit is if you max it at level 2. One ability takes someone out of the fight, and the other is a dot that roots people in place for the huge area huge damage acid spit.
The movement ability is amazing as fuck so it's great for getting away or closing in on someone.
I've had no trouble mercilessly shitting on hunters as every class, but Gorgon especially.
So I'm guessing to max out one ablity from the start?
When the beta was going on, I had no problems shitting on people with spreading out abilities, then maxing leap on lvl 2.
As funny as it is to laugh at how much of a failure this continues to be, it's disappointing things turned out this way.

god fucking damnit, I just worked up enough credits to get wraith and I successful avoid capture and get to level 2 and they hunters could barely find/catch up to me even with their broken shit and I still lose because I didn't destroy the power relay. Does anyone even ever win that way?
ESPORTS is not even a very guaranteed thing to pander to. It's a really hard thing to get off the ground and maintain.
