To see if this is true, the SOM Institute at the University of Gothenburg in 2014, 2015 and 2016 asked questions about the extent to which people feel they are part of and needed in society, and to what degree people feel connected with people other than those in it Own group. The survey also looks at how media habits affect social cohesion.

Stable over time
The results presented in a pre-published chapter from the forthcoming research anthology Larmar and make it clear that social cohesion in Sweden is strong and that changes over time are very small.
