Can you explain to me why venezuela is not Real Socialism(TM)??

Can you explain to me why venezuela is not Real Socialism(TM)??

If you support capitalism why would you be disparaging towards something by saying that it's trademarked? Are you just trying to seem edgy without actually having to know what you're talking about or what?

You aren't answering the question, though.

Venezuela is a failed socialist state, one of many.

So I wanna know how you explain away yet another failure of socialism.

pick one nerd

Easy, it's not "Real Socialism"

It's not socialism at all. China isn't socialist, Cuba isn't socialist, Vietnam isn't socialist. Instead they are a cacophony of ideologies and then stamped with "socialism".

...

k lets say if Venezuela is socialist or not

-Private ownership of the means of production
-State ownership of the means of production
-Private property rights
-Continuation of the commodity form
-Class-based society
-Developmentalist economic paradigm
-Zero pretense of moving beyond developmentalist paradigm
-Was capitalism with a welfare net and an authoritarian leader
-Socialists supporting Chavez were dolts
-Plenty of socialists opposed Chavez

where is the socialism fam ?

The workers do not own nor control the means of production.

Venezuela isnt socialist

why has there never been a socialist country?

...

Because the only "socialist" states successfully established were ML states.

which socialist country is that then?
because people only talk about the ones that never were socialist

where is the means of production at USSRfags ?

i think oil prices played a large part in the slowing down of venezeula, brazils economy is also affected by oil prices and their doing shitty, same thing happened with copper in chile during allendes presidency

because then the socialists wont be able to say "socialism has never been tried!!!" anymore

It's communism that has never been achieved, numbnuts.

-USSR pre-counter-revolution
-the paris commune
-catalonia
to name a few

They all failed.

What needs to change to stop socialism continuing to fail?

Production for exchange

Aw shit I forgot how la commune just fell on its own. No externalities whatsoever.
Learn history

Failed at what? Lasting? Every single human civilization fails then, eventually. Failed to achieve communism? True, but the same could be said of every attempt to end feudalism up to and until it finally worked. There's no single rule that can be described as a failsafe way to achieve communism; that's undialectical af and neglects the material conditions of individual cases.

A good start imo would be to stop attempting to appropriate the state and just abolish it.

If it fails due to foreign invasion it still fails. Capitalism didn't have that problem.

if they are always fataly vulnerable to externalities, then how will they ever perpetuate?

wouldn't the abolishion of the state leave a country vulnerable to external forces like pointed out?

maximum retard

No, why would it? Last I checked it wasn't porkies that do the fighting.

lad…

You meme-lords crack me up. Fine then. You win again left/pol/. Venezuela isn't socialist. But it is a very high standard you hold socialism to. Makes me wonder. Has real socialism ever been tried?

here apparently

Private stores, companies still exist.

bucko…

The Incas had extremely successful state socialism with central planning, rationing based on need, and conscripted labor.
Unfortunately it wasn't democratic, to really fit the bill as socialism.
Many militaries have had pseudo-socialism, using soldiers as productive laborers, rationing, and central planning instead of market planning and commodity exchange.
The US wartime economy in ww2 could be somewhat considered socialist production, and was 25% of the economy

Because countries are a bourgeoise invention

No because that doesn't make sense. No one is above society so he could "try" this or that type of society.

Yes, look up the Mondragon cooperative or read up on the hundreds of worker cooperatives that already exist in the United States.

Can you explain to me why Canada is not Real Capitalism(TM)??

...

...

It does not possess the traits that would place it into the category of socialism.

...

...

nice deflection there.
pity it didn't work

Ditto.

It's not a deflection, the original assumption is that shit won't work without government. Socialism has a government. It just isn't in the form of a state.

That's you. That's what you sound like.
