I still can't believe the Five Nights at Freddy's guy had the balls to stand his ground after saying he obviously never played the source material, but Toby Fox cowered from MatPat's fanbase when he said "Sans is Ness is bullshit."

I've seen some real shockers. Pretty much any "theory" about Gaster and/or Sans winds up being headcanon with no evidence to back it up. The "snas iz ness xdd" theory is really only the tip of the iceberg.

That being said, quite a bit of the game is blatant theory bait, which is pretty fucking irritating. Even one of the most important relationships in the game (namely, the interaction between Frisk and Chara) is left annoyingly vague, despite its importance to the plot and the whole meta commentary thing that toby swept under the rug for 90% of the game.

Toby's fanbase shares a website with him. If he pisses them off by telling Matpat the truth, he'd never hear the end of it.

Scott Cawthorn, meanwhile, barely even ventures outside of Facebook and Twitter. Nothing the fans could do short of sending packages to his house would ever reach him.

Played Undertale the first week it came out. Enjoyed it.

Before youtube got a hold of it and the fanbase exploded into the filth it became, it had a shining moment where there where some fun discussions here.
