Anyway, the default portraits in the original style are very pretty and it's hard to find a matching set of six customs without just making them all 2hus or something.

There ARE two different styles to choose when playing the game, your pic looks like the non-default one.

I know the portraits have at least two styles, do you mean something selectable or just random? Because the original OP "girl with dragon tat" is from my game and I found the pic in on google.

If you played the game, during the selextion of character portrait, there are 3 default styles to choose from.

Check the options. You can switch between a Type A and a Type B art for the two separate art styles and use them any time.

The dwarf dude looks like Santa Claus with that artstyle. Also the orcs are too stronk. Do I need to grind or shouldn't I be in the orc fortress yet?

Anyone know/have a collection of custom characters that aren't just waifus? Or am I missing the point.

Orc Ambushes really messed me up, I went north and and east to kill at the other ambush points. But, those orc camp ambushes have something called "heresy maces" that have like 3 magic effects on them that are super OP that I used to clear the shadow palace later.

Are you talking about the Kyo fightin the slums? His AI is kinda stupid in that fight in that if there are fighters still alive in the front, he just cast buffs and debuffs. He doesn't try to move in front if they are still alive. I just kept the fighters alive and had my warriors switch to bows. Made a hard fight easy.

I suggest a physical damage group to start with.

some random encounters in every dungeon have npcs that are much harder than others, at first it's weird but later it's interesting. anyways if you run into a monster type that kicks your ass just escape from battle with flash escape.

also the first dungeon (MoM) is split in 3 difficulties, so the further you go the harder it gets, you should grind the first ambush point on the first minimap until you have some decent gear. (weapons > armor > levels) (i stayed in that spot until every member had a heal ring, so each turn they would get +1 health, also each step taken– this made life so much easier especially since I had no plan to have a cleric in my group until their 3rd tier class)

That actually helps a lot, I had no idea about the split in difficulty. I was just rushing forward into MoM assuming that it was going to be really easy. Guess I'll go grind 'til I get better gear.

how do I unlock new areas? I still have 2 "Lineage" in the junkyard which I can't find. my guys are all LV 6 and it won't let me go anywhere else.

Junkyard being Mausoleum of Metal (MoM), I guess since your level 6. To find "Lineages" you have to ambush, defeat and take their blood crystals and then report back to the vessels to progress the story. Also, You can't ambush the entrance area to get it, you need to get to the back area(s). After you have blood crystals, the story will progress after talking to vessels.

mastercast + tribolt is pretty OK for it. Odin seems to have a lot of attack, but only a moderate amount of health.

Usually only a few checks are needed to send something to the trash but this manages to tick every single one I can think of. I'm impressed.

Is it possible to import a save game from a pirated version to the steam version?

I pirated this when it came out, and I decided I'll buy it when I can. But the game is very grindy, and I don't want to play it, then lose my progress once I purchase.
