It still has the problem of being designed with PvP in mind though. Sure it's tolerable and sometimes even fun but there's a lot of shit that's clearly for multiplayer 'balance' which gets in the way of a comfy singleplayer experience.

I'm happy that War for the Overworld ended up being good.

Shame that the sandbox world is so small and just plain terrain. I adored My Pet Dungeon in DK2.

Played through every level in this game recently to get a full feeling about it, and I have concluded that overall the game is terrible and suffers from some real design contradictions.

I loved water torturing fairies myself.

I still need to go back and unlock the side objectives in the final heart of gold mission to get that sweet sweet silver kasita.

It's kinda amazing that nobody has managed to make a proper successor yet.

And by amazing I mean completely retarded.

I think shit is too harsh but it doesn't stand up to the Dungeon Keeper games. War for the Overworld is unambitious, it relies too heavily on nostalgia, it's really fucking buggy, and holy shit is it devoid of charm.

Did DK2 even mention this anywhere? I had to find this on a guide back in the day.

Some levels in Dungeon Keeper 2 also have limitless gold. Those with gem vein squares that you can mine as long as you want.

"good" is used in the sense of something desired and approved of. "bad" is used in the sense of morally/ethically bad.

It could be restated as "It's desirable to be evil."

It's a pair of words we're used to being set as opposites, but their usage is valid.

I've been playing some WFTO over the past few days while this thread has been up. Not bad, not bad.. It ain't Dungeon Keeper, but its the closest thing I've seen.

My dungeon always did have an excess of mistresses (I'm assuming that's the collective noun). If they had different poses I'd buy a bunch of these minis (see pic).

We will never have a mod that puts in spanking torture animations.

It came in a patch. Having for example 5x5 with the 4 corners being another specific room gave you a special minion.
