There were about 9 threads about it on the day that it happened, but there were plenty of camera shots from other angles that showed she was actually there and what was going on.

1. The typical setup for a high-end news camera will seriously screw with the depth of field and field of view. The crowd was a good 30+ feet away from her, and she was a good 30+ feet away from the flag (it was at the rear of the gym she was in), but on camera it looks like they're all right next to each other. 2. When there're digital errors, it's copying horizontal lines downward. Because the background is vertical stripes, it looks like it's erasing her and the podium.
