Nobody cares about the videos you make for Reddit, Ethan, stop shilling your unfunny videos here.

Who the fuck still plays CSGO?

I play comp MM for the sole purpose of making other people miserable, I do shit like block doorways and force people to answer riddles, I team flash, body block, team shoot and other things

I bring a friend so I can't be voted off, I do stupid shit like use only a knife, smoke grenades and flash bangs, other times I use strictly the silenced pistol while claiming "I thought we were playing Golden eye"

h3h3 is a lot bigger than Holla Forums, you're autistic if you think big youtubers would waste their time shilling here.

So you're an insufferable tard who uses their time for the sole purpose of wasting others? Nice

Holla Forums/pol/ made the news again because one of Trumps close friends or maybe Trump himself browses here and reposted a Hillary Clinton meme from here on Twatter

You're just a summerfag shill shit nigger go fuck yourself

Why does this autist exaggerate his facial expressions so much? Is he trying too hard to be funny or is he robotically trying to emulate those "normal people" he has heard so much about?

>>>/reddit/

That didn't happen.

It was just 8/pol/ being retards as usual and some clickbait sites tried to exploit it to make Trump look bad.

Just4U

What you described only mildly inconveniences them. This however prevents them from playing their game altogether (competitively anyways). Vid related for how it's done.

That guy was from Holla Forums m8. We tried to deflect the blame to somewhere else because news sites started directly linking to an archive of an Holla Forums thread and we didn't want to attract more Redditors here

I don't like this guy. I thought I liked him, but he tries way too fucking hard to be funny, and takes Youtube way too fucking seriously.

Leafy, h3h3, and all those other idiots who just react to people's videos and post it can fuck off.

JonTron is still alright though

...

no he wasn't, the archive showed he tweeted that weeks before it was on Holla Forums or Trump's twitter account and his account had no connections to far right twitter.

anyway

h3h3 has 1.6 million youtube subscribers.

their twitter has 350k followers.

that's not even adding in the big sites like facebook and reddit they could post their videos on.

Holla Forums would get about 60k visitors a month since that's what voat gets and they have similar alexa ranks.

Holla Forums is a pretty small site in comparison.

No one cares about your casual game for casual faggots who think they're not casual faggots.

Look at him and laugh.

see

voat publish their cloudflare stats.

...

You're adorable.

Its not a matter of funny meme celebs

Its a matter of corperations who profit off of corruption in gaming getting told to fuck off

I don't think this thread is going to take off.
It's not a controversy tied to politics, so most people are just going to take one look at this and say that it served them right. That they shouldn't have let themselves get cheated by such an obvious scam.

it's already a big thing on the rest of the internet.

it's only on Holla Forums that the story devolved into meta shitting.

because nobody here is retarded enough to fall for that shit

What's bad about this? It's mildly funny but mostly uninteresting

I hate valve so fucking much for doing that to some of my best bros. CSGO and "esports" are the most cancerous shit in the entire industry.

Do you think if we push this hard enough we can kick the trend of loot crates all together from the industry?

I went on Leddit and I found this

If the tensions keep up, we could possibly get companies sued for microtransactions

Not gonna happen unless Valve gets major reparations from the lawsuit they're caught in. If Valve has to pay damages and underageb& gambling gets regulated, then yes.

I haven't been involved in Youtube since the GradeA-Keemstar situation.

From what I can gather from this vid, these frauds found a good way to get money. Skins are just frequent enough to have a constant supply and people are willing to pay thousands of dollars for a knife skin. Plus, almost no age limit.

You mean like tourist resorts managed to kick out mafia owned casinos ?

No. Gambling is a huge money maker due to whales and addicts. Valve will never drop it.

oh I do that too, but being an insufferable cunt is a lot more fun, you watch them lose the will to live

Webm that shit, retard.

It has it's own tournament that airs on TBS on fridays. Apparently still a lot.

Why the fuck do you retards always want webms? fucking kill yourself its a shitty h3h3 video anyway

kill yourself first please you massive fucking faggot

Shit response what sub reddit did you come from you fucking false freedom tard

I bet you read Kotaku too, faggot.

Kill yourself

Does it matter how many views they fucking get? theres already thousands of people watching him daily

...

CNN openly named both 4/pol/ and 8/pol/. Stay assblasted.
>>>Holla Forums

Did I imply that you fuck? I hate kotaku

...

I'm glad someone big is talking about this shit. I tried to have a thread about this here once and it was flooded by burgers screaming muh freedom of gambling for 13 years old.

It's also a sad reminder of how many people here play the gambling CSGO game and how full of cancer we truly are.

...

You still havent denied going to reddit nigger

Fuck off, reddit. h3h3 and his ilk are trash, I hope he loses his lawsuit.

Webm or fuck off.

...

As far as consumer rights go, gamers' are fucking awful.
I hope something happens. Skinner box "gambling" just takes advantage of people with poor self control, and this does affect other people who just want to play the fucking games because then the devs focus on them instead of good gameplay.

...

The self-delusion you guys display is both entertaining and very fucking sad.

Give a kike a cookie….

webm or fuck off nerd.

I seriously hope you realize this.
Also, I laugh at your retarded and hypocritical opinion if you use adblock, and moreso if you don't.

DMCA is legal, also websites can pull content for not complying with their terms of use.

Sure thing, fam.

TL;DR: Two youtube channels named ProSyndicate and TmarTn make videos of them gambling on a website called CSGO Lotto in which they gamble CS:GO skins. It turns out that they own the website and where hiding it from their viewers, meaning they might be controlling the site in order to promote their site to idiots who think they will get rich from it (kids). Valve does jack shit for what is already known as legal gambling.

Pretty much sums it up.

These jewtubers are getting more jewish by the day.
I wonder what they'll think of next.

And so mark became the sjw.

He posted a webm version.

What a massive son of a bitch
>"Ok, I didn't own the site until recently"
>He founded the site. He even filed it in
Motherfucker. Lying faggots like him should burn in hell.

...

Don't. He's pretending.

No, I realize people are ready and willing to monetize drama and other silliness, but as far as I understand it for Youtube in particular you need to be made a partner to make money off of view counts or ad revenue or whatever it was. Is that h3h3 faggot a partner in the first place or has Youtube changed appreciably on that front when I wasn't looking?

its an mp4, webm has lost meaning

You haven't been looking for ages, apparently. That changed around 2010, give or take. In any case, nobody gets paid for adblocked videos anyway. They still get views for it, which technically slightly raises the value of their channel, due to YouTube now having a CPM system. They don't get paid directly, but could potentially be payed more for subsequent views from other people, in the future.

He was caught lying while claiming that someone who'd lied couldn't live with themself?

...

And it wasn't even part of his plan. Now people are fucking his shit up with no survivors.

So, do you all think the lawsuit against Valve will actually go somewhere?

Sounds like a hothead

Unless Valve was directly involved somehow, I don't see how it could.

The suit isn't about the websites, it's about the crates in CS:GO. I think?

Valve are extremely lawyered up, and have more money than god. The paid mods fiasco also showed that they have an image in the mainstream that is almost completely invincible. With no risks to PR, which is usually why corporations fold on these suits, there's no chance they'll lose.

As far as I know, you can't be sued on the account of virtual items

The video mentions that the skins sell for "real money," but can you actually pull this money out or does it only Steam wallet funds? That's probably going to be the crux of the issue if it goes to court. I'll take a "the video explains this" answer as well since I'm only about 4 minutes in.

griefing csgo is like taking candy from a baby, extremely easy and extremely satisfying add a pinch of cheating and i might say it's the most fun i've had while playing video games

Apparently he has tourrettes

I guess it depends then on if anybody from here actually bites, but I don't know if we'd even have the user-count to make any appreciable impact on views and thus profit down the line. Hell, usually there's as many or more people complaining the video's not a webm or mp4 in-site than there are people actually discussing the video or its contents, and those people complaining are usually also (1)s who vanish from the thread as soon as the video's uploaded.

I'm not entirely sure myself as I don't play CS:GO due to being Heterosexual.
I can however tell you that Steam wallets can be at the very least used to buy products that have value added tax on them (games) and that these games can be given or traded with others all within the ecosystem without breaching any terms of service.

Only things not making a lawsuit about this a guaranteed win right now are:

-I don't think you are allowed to sell your steam games in the ToS.
-You might not be able to directly cash out your wallet for real life money, but I'm not sure.

But that's some very thin ice.

...

Buy me a copy and I'll join your team

That's basically what I'm asking. I do know what you can do with the Steam wallet funds, but since there's no way to directly turn wallet funds into cash, there may be a defense there. I agree though, it is thin ice. They could lose anyway since the rest of it appears to look like gambling regardless.

...

You niggers realize this isn't a link to the youtube right? That this is an .mp4 download right?
Of course you don't. All you understand are memes and "webm!" is the meme. If it isn't a .webm it's magically phoning home back to youtube.

Read the thread retard.

It's a direct link to an MP4 now because they complained about it not being an off-site video.

Also note they came here to shitpost and demand a webm instead of talk about the thread subject

Lrn2read

A mod edited the post to add the mp4 while removing the embed, retard.
Fuck, it even says the post was edited.

Fake DMCA claims are illegal m8

...

Good luck getting it prosecuted.

CS:GO IS SHIT SSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
REDDIT GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY BOARD, STOP USING STEAM, STOP GOING TO /R/KOTAKUINACTION, STOP FUCKING PLAYING SHITTY GAMES GET THE FUCK OUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
YOUR PATHETIC WILL TO LIVE IS TO MAKE OTHERS SUFFER, WHY WHY WHY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
MAKE IT STOP END IT ALL

Nobody here is playing CS:GO, people are talking about the gambling controversy.

You reek of newfaggotry.

We're talking about the fact that Valve might be taken to court over illegal gambling.

I lost a lot of respect for Ethan when I found out he steals from Sam Hyde.
Also I can't tell whether Hila is hot or a spooky jewish skellington.

...

I play it to make people upset

by proxy of you getting upset because I play it to make others upset makes me happy

I keep the skins I get too and use trade up contract to get better ones and then sell the higher rarity skins

...

Except on the part where they had to bend over to the EU and allow refunds on games. Valve aren't invincible, they just know how to keep their fuckups out of the media.

Don't forget that lods of emone is like catnip to lawyers. The deeper the pockets, the more attractive a class action lawsuit looks.

Jesus fucking christ.

You can't get money out of your steam wallet and selling games you've got as "giftable" is against the TOS
You can however use 3rd party sites to sell the skins for actual money. I imagine the 3rd party site takes a cut of the sale but you're still making money off of it

...

Holy shit the damage control in this thread.

Did some lurking and I found this.

We're entering the age where having microtransactions in games could actually be a criminal offense

...

Alright, thanks for the confirmation. Looks like Valve has a pretty tight defense there, as long as it's a one way street on their end they can't exactly be blamed for others going against their ToS to do shady shit.

As for those CSGO players, I really doubt a lawsuit is gonna have any effect. This sort of issue is usually dealt with by the FTC so reporting them to there might actually have some effect. Where I doubt you're really gonna get money out of two people with a small business. It's a risk and even when you win they can't exactly give you more then you spend on your prosecution.

Last thing I kinda wonder about, did h3h3 actually claim he was gonna sue these people. And what money is he planning to use for this? The fair use youtube money fund? Because last time I checked that shit was meant for legal defense. Not drama between youtubers themselves.

...

Only CERTAIN KINDS of microtransactions.

Basically, loot crates or anything that involves rolling dice or spinning a wheel.

Good enough.
They end up being the most corrupt and vile of the bunch anyway

...

Fuck off Valve

While I certainly wouldn't mind Valve getting kicked in the balls this has bigger implications. If things go the wrong way it could also mean good games for example might not have a virtual slot machine because it also counts as gambling in a videogame.

You have to remember, when you don't like something but it's legal you can just ignore it, but that doesn't work the other way around.

It only counts if you're using real currency.

user, making a virtual slot machine, a marketplace, and supporting several gambling websites is not "creative freedom", its fucking gambling. Activision making it so that you have a 1% chance of getting a weapon is even worse.

Also, virtual slots would be allowed still, just not using fake currency

I don't care for the regulations and laws but betting on your own site and showing those videos is very shady.

That's a fairly good point.

However, Ethan Klein is a jew with an Israeli wife that has been involved in a lot of kikery as of late, because of this, I'm not sure if I should believe him.

True but this is just gambling since currency is representing real money being put in games. Also It can be suspected that they could have been adjusting the odds in their favor as well so they do need to be called out and reported on.

It does bring a good point of If were going to throw laws on this how far can we put prices on how much DLC?

...

I mean, this is actually pretty authoritarian.

If you let your 13 year old son loose your house trying to get a knife it's your fault and the state shouldn't be meddling into other people's business, that's how capitalism works.

How is this not loosing money to a gamble?

I understand not making all microtransactions illegal but this is straight up gambling and the laws that apply to gambling everywhere else should apply to something in video games that handles peoples actual money.

It is gambling, that said I'm against the laws that moderate gambling.

The government should be meddling into things that don't directly affect people negatively. Law was first created to protect the people living within a territory from direct hazards, loosing your college schollarship in CS:GO Lounge or something isn't a direct threat to your life.

Besides, this also leaves normalfags too poor to buy vidya

So, if I'm understanding this right, crate microtransactions could be made illegal?
Good.

Gambling HAS to be tightly controlled. It's borderline criminal, even when it is regulated.

On the same line of logic

Just because some people have the knowledge of fake ATMs that pull your info doesn't mean it's okay to take advantage of those who don't, and like someone else said in the thread, some people are weak-willed and can't help it but fall prey to this type of shit

I look forward to this bullshit becoming illegal but let's face it, thin chance of that happening, much like all the threads about Steam going to bite the dust when you could straight up log in into other people's accounts, and that never amounted to anything

I don't see the problem.
I mean, do they bet money? No, they don't.

They buy fake shit and other idiots want to also buy the fake shit.

That's their problem.

Concerning crates, yes, they do. They give money to Valve with the intention of possibly getting something good.

The biggest thing that i hate about valve's case opening scheme that it cannot be called gambling at all. Valve themselfs said that skins don't equal money and selling them on the community market is a totally diffrent thing. Besides when opening a case you're guaranteed tot win a prize, meaning you aren't able to lose

good thing kids like you are no higher than gold nova

10 million people each month.

something good that has no value outside the game, which is owned by valve.

A lottery ticket has no value outside of the lottery. Stll gambling.

A loophole is just that: a loophole. When attention is brought to them, they tend to be closed.

Attention like, for example, a high profile scandal on the internet involving a billion dollar gambling ring operating in gray territory.

Gambling is not what Valve does, it's what third party websites are doing.

The ticket is gambling because you could win a monetary prize.

Valve sells shit to open chests in a game and then it gives you some items randomly choosen to use in the game.

It's like buying trading cards booster packs. And you could resell a card much more easily than an item in a virtual game, since game transactions can be recorded and controlled.
Should we make booster packs for trading cards game like Pokemon or Magic illegal too?

People are just butthurt because they can make unlimited supply of "items" and therefore make a shitload of money. But guess what? Just don't play this retarded shit, watch your kid and grow a brain.

I would argue taking advantage of peoples gambling addiction and children's ignorance for gain does affect lives negatively.

Two suckers are born to replace the poor sucker. The money pool ain't gonna dry out.

except valve has no statement and hasn't done anything to try and prevent it, which while there is little that can be directly tied with valve and supporting it, there is a case to be made because valve has a part in trying to uphold said gambling laws, in the US we call it legal responsibility.

so now valve has to prove that it doesn't have a responsibility to try and stop internet gambling with their license/property/whatever you want to call the virtual skins being used as a medium of value for them to win the civil case.

You know this is cool an all.
But.
Do you think it will get that horsefucker Geel sued? The fucking kike that fixed mannconomy and owns/runs all the economy websites with his horsefucker friends?

Note that CSGO is not even the worst transgressor of this, it's only popular because a lot of people play and know about it

Take a look at Black Ops 3's multiplayer, it has completely NEW weapons locked behind RNG with chances so small that some people spend over 5 thousand dollars and STILL don't get everything; why bother making the weapons paid DLC when you can just give them the RNG treatment and people will spend a whole lot more to get them

Now, I don't know the full story here and I might be wrong so if I am someone correct me, but apparently some guy was trying to find out the actual odds for getting a new weapon, but Treyarch quickly got wind of it and threatened lawsuits until the guy backed off

Unless one of lawsuits goes directly to one of his sites, nothing will happen to him

yes YES YES

i want valve to fucking die, i want steam to fucking die, i want MMOs to fucking die unless they actually have effort put into them

You can't expect Valve to police people outside of their services. That's what cyber police is for.

Fucking nanny state pricks.

What a load of shit. I mean if not he's got to be breaking antitrust laws that are already in place by fixing the prices with other distributors he's in agreement with.

Monopolies are the nanny state you fucking retarded faggot.

I know someone who spent $700+ on Overwatch and still doesn't have every unlock, because you can't buy player icons, and everything can drop as dupes.

They are a millionaire so it's not like they really care, but just goes to show…

This system even better then a real casino!

Explain where the monopoly is.

Please God, let it happen

People who say that virtual items have value are morons. You don't own shit. The company owns everything. If morons are able to get this through and courts are dumb enough to accept it - guess what, dumb fucks? Any kind of game with any kind of money making model (premium where you buy to play it once, subscription, ad based model) is suddenly illegal, because, hey, you've spent money to gain access in some way, and you're getting dat "value" when pixels drop.

I don't expect idiots who are excited for this to think the consequences of what they want through. Same with the superbly retarded people who hate free speech.

The person who sets the prices runs the stores.
ALL OF THEM
Oh, and as a bonus. He can get you tradebanned for pointing this out.

Does somebody want the thing in question? Are they willing to trade goods, currency, or services for it?

Then it, by definition, has value.

That's not really a GOOD thing, as it's retarded to want these stupid pixel knives and guns in exchange for real money, but they do objectively have value.

What the fuck are you sperging about?

Geel, the horsefucker who basically runs the TF2 economy and abuses it to make more than a million dollars a month.

No, they don't have value just because people want them. We are talking in the legal sense, not the emotional sense. You press a button. A company adds a pixel to an inventory, which you do not own, and is not yours. Valve owns the items, you don't own shit. Same with all other games. Even in offline RPGs which you paid for. You are not creating value just because an item drops on the ground in front of you. Dumb fucks don't know legalities, they are plebs who don't know shit.

Are you illiterate? The charge is specific to the gambling element in Valve's games. It doesn't cover any micro-transaction model in which you pay for a set (i.e. non-randomised) piece of content.

Also, these virtual items definitely have value in the eyes of a court, because they can be both bought and sold for real money (not steambux, many people are willing to pay real money for TF2 hats), and they can be sold for steambux which can then be used to buy games, which are also purchasable with real money. You have no idea what you're talking about.

I used to work in the online gambling industry and I don't know if I should feel happy or sad that there are people that are slightly more disgusting than I used to be.

However, h3h3 gave the gambling industry too much credit. Companies WILL use bots if needed to pad player numbers, which is pretty much the same fucking thing as playing on your own site.

...

You are a dumbfuck who does not understand consequences. There is no legal difference between paying a one time access of $60 to an RPG game where items can drop (which you do not own, you only own the media and not the content) and paying $2.99 for a random digital item (which you do not own, is owned entirely by another company and you only pay access to look at, you have no legal ability to gain access back if they decide for any reason to close your access).

Talk to a lawyer, dumbfuck. They will tell you your ideas are full of shit. People are paying money to take a bet to go against legal sense in order to fleece Valve for money, and if they are successful the consequences are much greater than dumbfucks like you, who think they are on the right side of history on this issue, even begin to realize.

No, dumbfuck, nothing is actually being sold. It's like a conman selling the statue of liberty. Dumbfucks like you think they are buying and selling things, but it's a con that is being played on the ignorant who are too lazy to understand the details of what they are getting into.

These statements again highly how ignorant and moronic people like you are. "Money" in "your" Steam wallet is not real money. YOU DO NOT OWN ANY GAMES IN YOUR STEAM ACCOUNT! READ THE SUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT, DUMBFUCK.

While your post is, of course, correct, it would be nice to begin to see court rulings that catch on to how anti-consumer this all is, with precedent and the law starting to consider things differently and change.

It's certainly the kind of thing that any consumer with a functioning brain should be cheering on regardless.

Stop playing the armchair lawyer. Your posts are hilarious denials of the plain obvious. You are blending together two completely different strands of argument - the old 'you don't own shit line' which is based on the terms of the steam subscriber agreement and ethical qualms about ones and zeroes being someone's property, and this argument which is about vast sums of money circulating in an illicit market based around the gambling of digital items. Video poker isn't suddenly immune from legal regulation because the chips are pixels on a screen. At some point, real money is entering the system, and items which this money is being exchanged for are being gambled with.

Also, you aren't reading my posts at all. I very clearly made a distinction between real money and steambux and yet somehow you're still trying to paint me as confusing the two.

Want to make a guess why gambling sites doesn't try to pull that shit in order to operate inside the US rather than Malta/Costa Rica/etc? The correct answer includes the word "prison".

...

Cmon Geel, make a raffle please.

I know you visit Holla Forums dont deny this

So how are those sites in any way related to valve?
I doubt loot crates are gambling because would that not make services where you recieve random items in the mail for a payment, or subscription, gambling as well? The difference is an automated system versus a human packing various items of value into a physical package.

So how is this anything besides the dumb h3 faggots making stupid videos implicating Valve in gambling?

Also what is the appeal of these retards, by the way? I see underage lapping their videos up. They don't seem to be good entertainers, all I hear from them is complaining about something or shoving opinions down your throat.

I guess DOTA, Runescape, WOW, and pretty much every other MMO needs to lawyer up because they've been hosting secret internet casinos!

You are aware valve has multiple lawsuits filed against it about exactly this?

...

yes
I don't know of any specific feature or program in any of those other games that has a direct correlation between purchase and gambling of goods. Obtainment of items collected in gameplay is not illegal, but a specific mode where in you have to make a monetary transaction for the intent purchase of gambling on a randomized collectable item, virtual or otherwise, is illegal. It doesn't matter if you convert it into coins or tokens beforehand, as long as it is convertable from real currency and real currency is used to obtain it, it's still a matter of gambling.

Honestly, it'd be nice if this could be leveraged against the likes of CCGs as well. Probably not, though.

I know for a fact that Jagex, the rotting corpse that they are, implemented a "spin to win" feature with daily spins. You can PAY real money for more spins, though, and they include items worth millions of gp.

feels good
this shit just helped foster the cancerous hat community of faggots who only care about cosmetic pixels and their value, fuck em

From what I can tell the services/sites in question used the Steam API so you could log into them with your Steam account.

Devil's advocate question: how is this different from a gumball machine? You're putting a quarter in and malfunction notwithstanding you're guaranteed a gumball, but maybe you'll get a rare one.

I guess that is a problem, but still not exactly direct implication. The steam API is used for many things besides that.

It's not really. It doesn't even fit the christfag's definition of gambling, the one where any money put at "risk" for a return is gambling, which just can easily apply to the insurance and banking industries.
I'm guessing that the creator of the video is of that dumbfuck opinion.

because a gumball machine is garenteed a reward and there is very little an individual can do with a gumball once they acquire it. There is no more value with a particular gumball than any other and the gumball serves an intended purpose, gumballs also degrade and are physical items.

online gambling is much trickier because in certain MMO's, as long as you can do and as long as the company does not actively discourage and legally attack operations that trade GP for real money than that can be considered facilitating gambling through an online medium.

Valve gets away with it because it uses a more in-depth system than a simple currency to in-house currency, it uses guns and skins and stuff and because it's not as evident it's harder to point to as gambling, regardless though, the acquisition of rare items is facilitated entirely through using real money, redeeming it into in-house currency and paying either 2.50 for a hat, or however much it costs on the market place. Receiving random weapons and melting it down into scrap and trading with the metal you earn is the exact same mechanically as getting free gambling tokens that online casinos do, it's just behind that same layer of "no it's not currency, it's gun skins!"

You're guaranteed a reward with loot crates.
It's not gambling at all, really. With your arguments I could make say the same thing against banking and insurance.
There's money put "at risk", for a "reward."

you are, in fact correct.

You have to have permission from Valve to use the Steam API for your website (ie log into the website with your Steam account) which would implicate Valve since they'd be aware of what the website was for and how it was being used while still granting permission to tie Steam to it.

Its still censorship, you are forcing people to acces it a certain way. Also how do i know it wasn't edited.

The funny thing is this whole thing pretty much mirrors the pachinko way of circumventing gambling regulations.

Fuck off retard.

Give me back my photo

The money on credit cards is also virtual, but that in fact has value and is subject to all the laws that come with having value.

What's wrong with that again?
Those guys are heroes if you ask me.
How legal is that - I don't know, but I fucking applaud to them. I hope they'll get away with it.

Not legal at all. So illegal that they'll probably get the FTC off their ass to personally fuck them over illegal. They definitely won't be getting away with it.

That is a shame, they are herpes we deserve.

How legal does this look to you?

I watched all relevant videos by now.
What can I possibly say, it's hilarious.
They should just take all that money and flee to mexico or something.
Guys did a great job, now all they need is to not fuck their own shit up.

Hello newfriend.

This h3h3 guy implies childred can "gamble" in cs:go while the game itself should not be played by children in the first place because it has age ratings. Where are the parents? It's the most overused yet the best excuse.

If you don't give a fuck about what your kid is playing you must risk him fucking himself over by doing shit adults only should have access to.

Besides, im sure money on steam wallet is treated differently than funds in any gambling site or casino because you can't physically get this money and pay your bills with it or use it to buy a car. This is like "magic gems" in some item shop used in mmorpg, you can buy them with money and gamble to increase their number, but they are usable only in game (or steam in this case).

I don't think valve can be sued for this, they wouldn't pull this off if their lawyers would claim it can backfire.

Law and logic does not always coincide. And I don't think there is an established law for this video games and money relationships yet.
If anything, it's not valve, it's those guys who can get in trouble. And if they will, it would serve as precedent.

TOO FUCKING BAD POLITICIANS ARE SO FUCKING BAD AT THEIR JOBS THAT THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF DOING CLEAR AND RELEVANT PRATICAL LAWS, EVEN MORE SO WHEN IT COMES TO DIGITAL CRIMES, UNLESS IT IS COPYRIGHT RELATED GOYIM

This won`t end in anything, yes him youtube channel is done and any attempt to make CS GO related content will be forever ignored by the community, but as a good little jew entrepreneur he will activate his lawyers, deflect any real accusations and lay low until the dust settled. At this point he will restart his scam elsewhere

Don`t count with Valve touching this shit bomb, and the community is so cucked they won`t be after the real culprits of creating this cancerous, underage gambling happy scenario to begin with: The jew lord himself

I still wonder how you could nickle and dime kids this badly over their favorite video game, and not even feel guilty over how shady you are on top of that.

People are saying they want the FTC to punish youtubers more.

Why don't we assist in that?

- Find ANY gaming youtube video that is clearly sponsoring. Look at the top 50 gaming channels, or the top 20 results when searching on youtube for a game that's likely to be shilled for.

- Check the first 20 seconds of the vid, then the description.

- Unless they clearly say in the intro of their video "this is sponsored"- report it to the FCC. Even if in the description they say "Thanks to [Studio] for helping" - doesn't count. Even if they say it's sponsored in the description- unless it's in the first line it doesn't count (since it can be tucked behind the read more bit).

Basically cause SUCH a massive influx of COI (I imagine 30% to 60% being prosecutable) that the FTC will have to make examples to stem such a "wide-spread problem". Now usually the FTC don't do shit for small cases unless everyone speaks out, which means it'd need some organization (repost links here so others can also report it)

The youtuber's audiences aren't doing it- so we'll have to. Get a fucking Fox hunt for sponsored content until NO youtuber feels safe doing it- and those that do clearly show it.

The skins idea is different from video game currency because people trade their skins for paypal money. Yes in game rare items have real life value because people have and will pay actual money. If you ever had a lot of skins and wanted to "cash out" per say you'd go to a skin site and instantly get paypal money by trading to a bot. Albeit with a percentage taken out for the site jews.

What a glorious shitstorm this will be, even more than it already is. Dumping the rest of the relevant videos I know of.

...

TmarTn's own words.

Even CoDfags hate this loser.

Wish he'd just set the camera down like a normal person.

...

You mean Geel from Scrap.tf?
God that site is so gay, he couldn't have chosen bigger faggots for mods.

user, it's a casual game if you live in the EU or if you're lower than DMG, which you should be already above if you learned the basics of the game and aren't completely terrible at aiming.

It's ridiculous when a game like CS:GO, which arguably plays amazingly gets shit on, simply because it has cosmetic jewery attached to it. It's almost completely separated from the game itself anyhow.

CS:GO has the highest damn skill ceiling of any game I ever played, and I say so with complete confidence. It takes hours upon hours to actually get good at it.

This whole situation just baffles me. Did the most players on here simply never figure out how to spray control an AK?

I'm confused by Holla Forums's general opinion on the game.

kek

Get a load of these jews.

Boy Summer is scorching hot this year. There's only an artifical skill gap, pereceived by just extending the ranks higher and not letting the playerpool get their shit kicked in instead of being coddled by seperate player pools. That and the people that play CS are eSports faggot casuals of the worst degree, so it's not surpsing that they can't even get DMG.

are you the same guy who runs that gore board
he always posts the same crops and they're all like that

Really it doesn't take a lawyer to see it was gambling.
Now we can only hope someone will sue.

It has as much value as company allows it to have.
Just go and play EVE online. Developers there allowed people to trade items for real money between themselves and guess what there is ISK to $ exchange rates. If not straight up, you can easily exchange these two by selling/buying PLEX.

It is stupid to say any money making model will be banned. You are paying for a product. This product might be game time, I believe it is even taxed here in Poland.
Problem is you are not paying for content you are paying for slot machine.

To be honest fuck CS:GO not being casual game.
Most fun I had from CS was from poke mod in 1.6 and now it is gone because everything went competitive.

I fail to see how this is a problem and I don't see how Valve or any of these gambling sites are to blame for this.
It's like someone whining to a casino because he just stupidly spent all of his life savings and won nothing, the person has no-one to blame except themselves.

You do realise that regardless if you think it's wrong or not, these websites are breaking the law?

Wew lad, you might be mentally retarded
AAAAAAA

Nope, because they are exploiting a legal loophole, therefore they are not breaking the law.

I think underaged people should be able to gamble in regular casinos with parental permission.

any new updates? Is the cambling mafia finally V&?

Everytime. Fuck off underage

Depends whether they actually go to court or not. Sometimes judges overrule loopholes and charge you guilty regardless.

Thanks for meaningfully contributing towards the discussion.

A judge can send people to prison who haven't even broken the law, hence why innocent people can be released if found not guilty later on. Doesn't change the fact that what they are doing is not breaking the law.

you didn't deny being underage summerfag.

I didn't confirm it either, therefore without any current context, the chances of me being underaged and an adult are equally as likely to you.

This actually true because his subber will eat everythign these cancer celebs shits out.

I'm glad people like you still play games even if it is CSGO.

CSGO is a disgrace to the real heroes who work in counter-terrorist units.

It's good that this h3 jew is using his influence for something good, even though it's not his original content.

yes, user, I run /sfg/

There are still third party pugs tho

Okay, then go away. You're an attention whoring Holla Forumstard who masturbates to CP.

no

user, give in to your degeneracy and come jerk off to abuse with us.

>>>/sfg/

I suppose we'll hear tomorrow.

Okay that means today.

I was there when this got introduced. It was really a pain in the ass that people could kill you at the start of the round without suffering any consequences.

Anyway, I really hope Valve will remove their crappy items from all future games.

...

skins are all reddits fault. Me and many other people on the steam boards voted against it.

This guy twitter.com/MrRyanMorrison was on ESPN radio about this thing.

I do
some old friends invited me to play competitive and it's the only thing that fixes my lonelyness plus most of the cancer is distracted by Memewatch so it really isn't that bad

I don't really see why you guys hate in cs:go so much. I mean yes, it is horribly balanced, but it's not like you guys know how to properly balance a game.

You probably just hate it because it became so big on Reddit. You wankers just love unpopular games, which is probably the reason why you hype the new ut so much.

That game is so shit, not even the old ut fans like it.

Scouts and knives, surfing, and a few other community gamemodes are really fun if I'm being honest. Competitive and Casual are complete shit.

Or you can just say you're not underage. But the constant beating around the bush is very telling.

kys degenerate

I am slightly interested.

Get the fuck out.

TmarTn's "apology" video. YouTube link youtube.com/watch?v=gjyGQV2i9eU

about the public record

pcinvasion.com/csgolotto-legal-counsel-issues-statement

the problem;
FTC guidelines says that it needs to be seen in every advertisment video/article. So, they are fucked.

On top of that, what he said in the sorry-vid was not him saying it, he got a text from is counsel in the form of Watson LLP.

jej

damn son, you lied again?

Next time, take your shitty dog and walk from this planet.

What the fuck are you doing son?

holy shit, scamfag subs are in free fall.

Postan from other thread:

Question: now that the fire is burning and the salt is flowing, how do we make it worse?

I think the two most salt inducing shit you can do at this point in time is to fuck with kids, and to fuck with females and their safe spaces.
We already have the kids fucking scripted with the baby gambling.
This is just an idea but: can we hire an actress to cry on cam saying she was scammed by these sites? Or can a fellow anonette that is browsing do it herself?

SCAMFAG DELETED TB'S COMMENT

so, this just happened under 15 minutes. New record for a shitstorm?

What was the comment?

Here's the thing. Gambling isn't a legal hot-topic because gamblers can profit from it. It's a legal hot-topic because it's a highly-profitable industry that exploits a impulsive addiction that many people have.

More like it's a highly-profitable industry full of taxable dollars.

...

HAH
The guy is probably sweating bullets right now

Well, at least this is somewhat relevant to video games and isn't directly manufactured by the gradeAreddit/keemstar/leafy clickshare union.

If the FTC isn't going to punish clickbait and news sites over disclosures then they're certainly not going to do anything about some youtubers.

With this story, there is a lot of shady shit going on, but they're not directly dealing with money from what I gather. since they're just trading in game items, which some other people are placing the value on.

If they cracked down on this then they'd have to crack down on anyone that engages in gambling in an MMO which would become a circus.

From what I get they were false advertising

HAH
He deleted the video!

Just shifting through the shitstorm.

This guy's big fucking house and sympathy fishing makes me want to beat the shit out of him.

Fine, I'm not underage.

oh boy

The video uploaders shouldn't be able to delete comments for the same reason why OP shouldn't be allowed to.

found tb's comment on the now deleted sorry video

scamfag changed evidence

archive.is/h2ToV

It's as if you goyim want it to fail and have a lid on it as quickly as possible.
Gee, I wonder why?

is this your personal safespace now? You get uncomfortable by my opinion?

I see that cs:go is badly balanced and a shitload of things need to be chanced, but you guys can't. When I ask you what's wrong with cs you probably can't tell me what it is apart from the obvious microtransactions.

I had a shitload of discussions here on cs:go already, nobody ever mentioned things like acceleration and movement inaccuracy or the fact that every weapon has only one spray pattern. Even the more obvious op pistols are rarely named.

Valve whitelisted the sites to allow them to use the Steam API and some of the lawyers involved in bringing it to the FTC's attention say that they do have proof that Valve employees were in contact helping them and knew what they were doing facilitating it.

Depending on how it goes Valve could be indicted for knowingly facilitating illegal gambling instead of closing the loophole as soon as it was obvious what it was being used for. And they won't have an easy time since legal gambling websites were already pissed at shit like Draft Kings, they will help go for the throat at Valve.

Is this your way of saying "muh secret club" Summerfags like you only shit up the board.
No you haven't newfag. Serious discussions never happen because no one actually gives a shit about CS:GO and the threads die. CS:GO was perfectly balanced until the Revolver update (which nerfed the ARs with extra RNG on the recoil for no fucking reason) and it's obvious that Valve doesn't know what the fuck that they're doing. They wanted to add a fucking tether gun that would hold people in place for the next guy to kill him for god's sake. They reversed that patch after a ton of complaints and I haven't followed since, because I uninstalled the game.
What are options?
It's a tactical type of game, not an arena shooter. I hate 90s call of duty and even I know this shit.
A single AK or P90 will lay waste to anyone with a pistol. You're probably some Gold Nova or Silver kiddie if you think the pistols are op.
Literally kill yourself. This shit ruins the game for me.

dubs confirm

no shit

I don't really see why you interpret it that way. My point is that people can have different opinions and you shouldn't go crazy over someone having a different opinion.
It wasn't, if you think it was then you are simply bad at the game, but it takes a tournament for you people to realize that some shit is not properly balanced. Before the tournament where one of the fnatic players got like 70% of their kills with a cz instead of their awp nobody even realized that this shit weapon was op as hell. This is because you noobs can't aim.
bhopping was a big part of cs 1.6 and early cs:s and removing it just makes the game overall easier.
And a single shot from the pistol does so too while costing a lot less.

I uninstalled cs:go long before the revolver update so I don't know the current state of the game, but there was a time when the glock killed with 2 shots to the head. You know what other gun kills with 2 shots to the head? The m4. And without helmet the glock would kill with one shot to the head. And then Valve wonders why nobody buys the deagle and buffs it damage to scout level only to nerf it a week later.

You apparently also missed the p250 days, or the time when scout had almost perfectly accuracy. Or the days when aug had perfect accuracy and did almost 100% damage trough walls.
Different spray patterns is what keeps people from spraying since they can't predict where bullets go and instead forces them to make single shots. This is one of the things that makes 1.6 better than cs:go. It's less forgiving and mistakes are punished way harder.

Thank God you made a .webm of it, user. That video's been deleted already. I can only imagine the comments and ratings.

Does this fuck ever stop lying out of his teeth?

Stop being so asshurt that I called your opinion shit and told you to get out. This is so fucking common, you should really lurk moar if you actually plan on staying here any longer.
Abso-fucking-lutely no one plays like that but the eSports faggots. If the eSports bullshit is what you're balancing your game around instead of fun then your game is ass.
It's interesting that you list the CZ since that was the only pistol that was really OP, and it got nerfed to death.
Bhopping is still possible, it's just much much harder to pull off. I'd rather play a game balanced around a faster movement speed like UT thanks. Especially since you can actually shoot and move in that. Bhopping was broken as fuck in CSS.
Only if it's a Deagle or P250 at CLOSE RANGE WITHOUT A HELMET. Not to mention that hitting someone with a pistol is much harder than an AK and being in the close range to get that headshot only exposes you to being sprayed down.
You seem to missing that the M4 is a 2 shot headshot at ANY range. While the glock is only upclose, and again exposing the player to a fully automatic weapon's capabilities. You also actually have to be able to hit them twice in the head, and no one is going to be holding completely still unless they're a fresh player.
No, it doesn't. It's always a two shot kill you fucking secondary.
You mean like right after launch when it was a massive piece of shit console port that TurtleRock dumped out? I remember that shit very well, and the AUG was still garbage then. Valve fixed the game only to break it again later you missed nothing by leaving.
At close range you should be spraying, since it ensures a higher change of killing your opponant.
And this is what makes me think you're a retard. The spray patterns in CS:GO are far more complex than 1.6's so I don't know what you're talking about here.
This kind of stuff is eSports shittery though. You "improve" by grinding for hours on end through a deliberately obtuse meta (for the guns) so I wouldn't call it something that takes real skill since it's actually very easy to learn.
I would also never put any CS game besides Condition Zero above the others (except for maybe CSS for literally just being a source port) since they're all so heavily flawed.

I meant I'd put the others above CSS, should have worded that better.
