Prove to me systems exist

I've been around many left wingers, and the common denominator is an insistence that its all about systems instead of conscious human beings.

Be it capitalism, patriarchy, or just "da system". And I am terribly skeptical of that. How the fuck can you determine my behavior to be part of some system, and more importantly, how can you say what of my behavior isn't part of the system? It makes no fucking sense

And in regards to capitalism, maybe the most radical statements of all is that it doesn't exist at all.

Capitalism exists, you're an establishment shill without realizing it good job.

"System" is just a label used for a set of interacting parts, much like "human" is a label for a set of interacting parts. You don't have to call it a system, because the criticisms of it don't hinge on it being called a system. Its properties don't change when you look at it as a set of many interacting individuals.

The important thing about the "system" of capitalism is that the actions of an individual can't really change anything. If the CEO of Apple decided he wanted to embrace socialism, he'd just lose his job. If a billionaire decides to give all his money away to his employees, that will only help a small number of people for a relatively short period of time. It's fundamentally just a tragedy of the commons situation. The only way to fix the problems in the "system" is to change some variable which is common to all of the parts which make it up. That is why people talk about changing the material conditions.

I do applaud you for looking beneath the surface and recognizing that reality emerges from simple parts. That is the first step towards rejecting most id-pol and propaganda. A bottom-up approach is usually a good way to analyze complex systems.

But isn't the whole left wing thing that if people worked hard enough and realized that they were being thrown around by the rich leftism could win?

Steal Shit
See what happens.

Most strains of leftism advocate for mass action.

yes but only with the hard work of a lot of individuals can that mass action actually happen, right?

I don't think that's likely to happen. I think the most likely catalyst of change is the development of better technology, just as it has been throughout human history.

Holla Forums and the left in general are hardly unanimous in their opinions though. As the joke goes, if you lock two leftists in a room they'll spit into 3 factions which each assert that the others are wrong.
