last night we talked about lock on launchers briefly, webm related is a trick you can do with the swarm launcher that makes hitting ground vehicles much easier this is the only lock on launcher that can do this.

As someone who mainly plays VS because i'm self aware and i personally have more fun with easy fights and constant wins than always losing because the other guy has all the better tools with the odd victory where the entire faction put loads of effort.
There's the history revisionists or people who are just pretending to be oldfags talking about how other factions had op shit when in fact the only thing that was really broken on NC was the phoenix, jackhammer and old max shotguns and on TR it was the MCG sniping and striker. Even then, VS had the superior tools because the lasher simply allows them to do what nobody else can while NC/TR heavy weapons serve the same role as any other shotgun/lmg except they're heavily specialized. the phoenix was just op because you could one shot infantry and it had normal rocket levels of damage while allowing you to shit on anything completely immune to retaliation and now that it's fixed it's okay, the striker was really really broken and now it's borderline useless besides the surprise factor against air, the VS rocket launcher on the other hand was the only okay one in the past but now that the others have been nerfed from op to useless it has the highest dps out of any rocket launcher if you spam the button and it works as a better striker (you're never going to hit all shots on the striker unless it's a slow galaxy or a standing still esf) because the bullet velocity allows you to easily snipe for it's full damage at anything at any range.
Soon after launch the first guy who dug up the game's files and started extracting information to put on the wiki discovered the magrider was the most armored tank, the fastest tank, and also had the highest dps with the arguably better cannon on top of their turrets that everyone is already tired of (in game weapon charts lie, or at least used to).
ZOE maxes just allowed tranu maxes to wipe out entire rooms before people can react with better damage than nc dual shotguns while retaining ranged capability, even after the nerf that caused massive rectal incommodation it's still the best max and max skill by far being basically "lockdown but more effective and without getting instantly killed for being a sitting duck with a limited field of view" while NC's shield is useless and only makes NC newfags both stand out and stare at infantry while they hit it anyway using splash damage or the few uncovered bits.
I don't know if you people remember but the magburner also used to allow magriders to literally ram low flying aircraft, of course it's pretty hard but you have no idea how hilariously broken it was to fly 50-100 meters up in the skies by magboosting on indar's valleys or how many infantry got farmed by a magrider that jumped on a biolab's landing pads and even the ones who managed to force themselves through the entrance.

Now that faction traits are more or less dead save for TR still getting bigger mags the developers have this sick compulsion to add vanu's own traits on a copypasta gun or making a gun that another faction doesn't have and using that faction's traits such as the serpent being highly accurate with no bullet drop and recoil and insane dps with the only downside being the slightly lower bullet velocity when compared to TR's closest counterpar, the lynx. (NC does have the gd-7f which is also insanely good at cqc but loses to the VS). The terminus vx-9 assault rifle is a copypaste TAR with less recoil/no bullet drop, a 10 bullet smaller magazine but with faster reloads. There's also VS versions of NC weapons at the 167 damage range that instead of being copypasted are turned into better long range weapons such as the Pulsar C being a Razor GD-23 with increased fire rate, the usual no bullet drop, tamer horizontal recoil at the cost of slower bullet velocity. the TR HC1 cougar being the worst of the 3 because it just has 5 more bullets and the other stats are either the same or worse save for having a 5m/s higher bullet velocity when compared to the VS one.
The scythe is everyone's enemy because it can always outmaneuver you, it has a tiny profile on all sides (people who say the mosquito is the smallest when looking from above or below are just lying, sure the scythe is technically bigger than the mosquito as in it occupies more space but most of that size from above or below is just open air due to it's claws) and it has most of the better air weapons, the only downside being the fact that it's 45~ km/h slower than the mosquito and it's afterburners are about 20km/h slower than the reaver's >implying it matters how fast you can go if you have an objective offensive and defensive advantage. It also accelerates faster if that matters. The reaver on the other side is a more balanced plane being bigger, bulkier but having a chance against the mosquito by featuring higher damage but lower accuracy weapon pool and lacking the mosquito's long range reach/large mags on it's guns plus better afterburners (the airhammer might be op up really close but the reaver just cannot land shots from 300/400m as easily as the mosquito).
This is also kind of subjective but vanu has the best camo, other factions can either unlock or buy ones just as good though

I'm getting really tired of being pegged by a vanu SMG before I can react at 400+ meters by someone using a 2x reflex sight.

Not entirely related, but what exactly was the deal with that whole 'faction devs' shit?

I understand that just about everyone is going to have an empire in this game that they like the best, including the developers, but how could that extend toward a malicious desire to fuck up game balance?

Daybreak what the fuck. I understand locking guns, knives and C4, but why the fuck does it lock the medi gun? Does it lock the fucking repair kit too? Rez grenades? What the fuck are we supposed to do when we get weapon locked after teammates run in front of your shots? Fix your shit.
