I was able to obtain the documentary I mentioned earlier and I can most definitely say that this guy's real name is Ronald Westerink.

The first and second attached pictures are of his parents. You can see that the white man in the first picture looks a lot like Ronald. Both his parents were working in a mission on Papua Island, New Guinea. His father was a pastor. His parents were married there and moved to the Netherlands somewhere after 1945 when the Indonesian War of Independence started. His father didn't want to leave because he loved the place, but had to, which was the cause for his bitterness back in Holland.

I can not say for certain that Ronald himself is pictured in the documentary. The third and fourth attached pictures are photos of the Westerink family displayed in the documentary. Comparing those with a more recent picture like in would suggest that Ronald himself is not pictured in them. Both the recent and old pictures show a family with one daughter and three sons, and Ronald is definitely not in the recent picture.

However, in one fragment it appears that Ronald is the person holding the camera (see the last attachment), as the heard voice is very similar to the one we know: high-pitched. The accent is very similar as well. Almost a 100% match.

All in all, I think that it can be confirmed that his real name is Ronald Westerink.

It's unlikely that knowing his real name will result in new leads, and his history would have likely been scrubbed as many have mentioned already, but perhaps new information can be found on this guy that either confirms or disproves his story.
