I thought that was pretty obvious. The localization team almost never make the changes themselves, it's always the development team that does it. So the developers are aware about the changes being made to their games, but more often then not, they don't give a shit because stuff like this is filed under "cultural differences."

I'm not sure about numbers, but it's currently the #4 best selling game on Amazon at the moment. It's behind three unreleased games though, including Monster Hunter Generations which doesn't even come out until next month. So I'm unsure if that's good for it or not.

Also, is Monster Hunter really that popular? I love the series but I never come across people in real life who like it. So if it's actually doing well enough to be one of the top selling games a month before it releases, that's awesome.

If that isn't tanking I don't know what is.
