Aside from the fact that this kind of technology should be completely impossible in a setting where microprocessors didn't really become a thing, why the fuck does the institute even bother to make these. They clearly have the resources to make significantly more powerful robots but instead they waste their time making useless synths for no reason other than "science lol"

And if they were going to go this route, why not just do clones or artificially grown humans instead? That would make significantly more sense and you could use them in the sam way for the most part.

I'd say what part they allow you to experience I am. Visuals are nice, but this game has some of the finest horse back riding I've ever experienced in a game.

OG Fiona - Pre HJH Fiona:
Perfect guard was required for counter attacks
Perfect guard was a block during the last half a second of an attack (meaning you had to guard JUST before you were hit)
A failed guard would negate damage, but dramatically harm your shield and not allow for a counter
Counters were a tool, not a lifestyle
Counter combos were more powerful than counters because they were riskier.
Combo travel was used defensively for fiona to compensate for faster bosses
Large shields had a faster Heavy stander time, making them perfect for players who mastered HSC, allowing for high volume DPS for more skilled players
Bosses had normal and smash attacks, and fiona had to use heavy stander to block smash attacks, meaning you had to read your enemy to know how to counter their attacks.
Fionas had to maintain their shields or they would break.

HJH Fiona - Current:
You can guard for a while second before a hit and its still considered "perfect"
Even if you dont somehow make a perfect guard, you can still counter
There is no more shield damage because it was "unfair" for all the casuals
Counter spamming is the only way to make fiona viable
Counter combos have been nerfed to encourage people to use normal counters
Counter combos can still be used after two standard counters, making counter combos fucking pointless as a mechanic
Large shields offer no more advantage
Heavy stander is fucking pointless

I don't know about NOW now, but when Hurk was released I could solo raidbosses with Kai, Hurk, Karok and Vella without godlike gear, i also had dummy alt accounts afk to get more drops.

Hurk is an exception due to being easy mode. And also I am referring to end-game, not random battles in between. Pre-ignition you could get to end-game no matter how shit your gear was and you could play without being kicked out for having too low ATT, you would get thrown out if you were exceptionally shit or if people got butthurt about a certain character after an update but in general it was fairly easy to get into end-game. After Ignition people started being obsessed with ATT to the point where it didn't matter how good you were or how easy the boss was, they would still demand absurdly high stats. A great example of this would be when Kraken's health and defense were reduced drastically, after which rather than reducing the requirements to enter the battle fags would demand HIGHER stats despite the nerf. I am sure you have seen plenty of boats where people demanded ATT way above the ATT cap for that boss.

hes being a bit dramatic, you can still solo a boss without having godlike stats, its just that youll spend your whole hour of boss time doing it, which starts to make it impossible as fatigue quickly sets in.
