Mass Effect 3 had the exact ending that the Lead Producer said would not be a thing.
They threw half of their lore out the window for "coolness"
They literally said "They wanted the Call of Duty audience."
The ending was literally a Deus Ex machina showing up and saying "Hi I'm God, here are your 3 choices"
