Scandinavian Socialism only worked when their countries were ethno states. Scandinavians pay through the nose for their “social benefits” via taxation; in a nation where most work and pay in it works out ok presuming you are happy with the services provided.
Cease being an ethno state and opportunists will flow in, as they have. Scandinavian nations have gone from economic surpluses to deficits very quickly thanks to immigration; we understand this topic well so I won’t elaborate.
To be polite, America is demographically challenged. Getting everybody onboard and paying his or her fair share just wouldn’t happen. A Scandinavian couple will work and pay most of their wages into the system, have one or two children that need educating etc. A Mexican border hopper may have 6 children, work under the table and pay no tax. It can’t work.
Also consider what a “multi cultural” Scandinavia looks like. Native life long tax payers in many Scandinavian countries have amongst the lowest home ownership rates in the world. They pay a fortune in taxes to maintain the nation and then Globalism happens and foreign investors (who are likely criminal and have never paid a penny in taxes in their home nations, to the detriment of their fellow man) come in and take from them the opportunity to own property.
Furthermore how would one pull off such a thing in America? Simply turn around to the medical corporations and tell them you are seizing from them all of their hospitals? Tell all of the medical staff they now work for the Government? And the same to the education and prison industries?

I didn’t say it was an optimum system, it isn’t but elements of it can function in ethnically homogenous European nations as demonstrated by Scandinavia, Scandinavia also proves that it falters once the ethnic makeup of a country does. My point was simply that it could never work in the modern day United States.
Universal Healthcare however can and HAS (as in for decades and decades) worked in many European nations (immigration also kills it however). That isn’t to say it COULD be implemented in the USA and perhaps nor SHOULD it.

Shut the fuck up. Dane here. Our welfare state is on the way out because of the immigration floods creating a 33 billion DKK (roughly 5 billion USD) annual deficit in our economy, and it's only gonna get worse. I recently had to file a harassment report with the police due to an immigrant man.
And you know what would help fix these problems? If we were more like America. 'Cause our laws and regulations for both guns and other tools/weapons like knives etc. has basically declawed our population almost entirely. We can't even defend ourselves in case of an attacker without risking police charges if we harm the perpetrator and they press charges.

Every public service program in Sweden today is but a fraction of what it was 30-40 years ago. You think what you see today is generous because you are an ignorant young manchild. Sweden was a really good place to be in the 60's-80's but the cracks were already visible then if you had eyes to see with.
Even if you exclude the massive non-White population in America, you still have to deal with the fact that the vast majority of Americans are not Scandinavians.
Why would anyone expect an implementation of Scandinavian socialism to work in America, a largely non-scandinavian country?
