On ebay, you can buy just the panel for $20, but you may as well pay the extra $5 to get the whole fucking lid assembly. This is probably the easiest way for you to do it.

I'm sure if you did the research, you can find the panel for a bit less if you know exactly what type of model to buy from a different reseller, but It's your laptop, so I'm not going to do that legwork for you.

Or you could just check craigslist, and get a laptop that works for $50.
