Add in a huge dose of shilling on Holla Forums and a lot of the impatient people were convinced that #GG was actually "cucked" and not just keeping up the illusion. This sparked a lot of infighting and people wound up leaving over all the stupidity that ran rampant and it tore the boards apart when Acidman butted heads with the IRC people, but the long-term plan still worked and continues working today, coasting on all that momentum we gave it.
