Mech Games?

So, I think I might set up a private server for this game. If any Holla Forums faggots are down.
Also Mech Thread.

Hawken is finally coming to ps4. I am fucking screaming happy joy song as hell.

Amuse me.

I would be down!

Also between Mechwarrior 4, AC:FA, and AC:LR, I wonder when someone is going to top those in terms of Mech games. maybe with a Chromehounds 2.

I wonder if that Bandai Namco leak was real

What leak?

I fucking loved that game.

Virtua-On Oratorio Tangram (the 360 version) remains as one of the best arena fighters and mech games of all time.
As you can see on the second pic, it features improved lightning effects and a higher resolution, it's actually based on a newer version than the Dreamcast release and has the most content out of any version.
No local vs tho, just system link and xbla.

...

Don't even try to play with my heart like that, user.

I've always wanted to play that game but back then my connection was too bad and my PC wasn't good enough either.

...

You can emulate Oratorio Tangram on PC.
Border break is shit and is basically COD with robot skins.
Stop being faggot.

Yeah, with a non-existent online scene
Don't care, still better than more shitty sonic games.

A shitty version with missing content and inferior graphics.

Hawken is fucking garbage, though,
Weren't there gay pride mechs at one point?

community.playhawken.com/topic/2594-love-wins-event/

...

...

Go play Hawken then, it's pretty much the same.

Casual pls

Nope

I should've gotten faster shipping.

Go to a fighting games thread and see how well you land spouting shit like that.

SD Gundams are so fucking adorable

This game is so overrated, after playing 2 i sure as hell dont want to play 3.

3 improves the customization

but it seems for the DLC it's now gonna have to be bought instead of free

also obligatory

Huh? Are they up to Char's Counterattack already or is that a mod?

I thought it was supposed to be one year war only.

Best mech game ever.

ZOE2 is great but Last Raven is better.

There is project nimbus, but that seems pretty dead in the water and all the story ever seems to be about is how awful weapons, guns, and mechs are.

you can emulate the NAOMI version
just no netplay

Awesome, too bad about the netplay tho, that's the meat of the game.

There is also that MAV game on steam. It is kind of like Chromehounds and the dev for the game came over here and asked for advice since his friends apparently told him to come here. He seemed pretty nice and the game is not too bad.

It's really good, but no.

Do it faggot I miss that shitty game so goddamn much

...

The devs had something to do with that shit as well. They sperged out over people saying that they can be free of all the microtransaction shit.

it started as that, they've got 0096 suits and shit gets fucky, EFF has shit like Hyaku Shiki and Gabaldy Beta

entire game is fucked and whats left of the /m/ playerbase is the whiny shits who jumped ship from SDGO when it died

Hawken is absolute shit though

anybody here playing Brigador? I never see anyone talk about it here for some reason

Looks fun. Is it fun? I might give it a pirate

I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops, looks like it could be a really fun game.

All he has to do is make the game look less like shit(which I'm pretty sure is being worked on) and make the customization less fucked to use. Half the time the pieces just WILL NOT FUCKING SNAP to where you want them to. But then again I only played the demo for about 20 minutes. I think I'll buy it when it's released just because I really like the concept

Also, I recently got another power cord for my 360 so I've been seeing what I can buy used. How are Armored Core 4 and Chromehounds?

AC4 is one of the best entries in the series, Chromehounds is mad fun but the online mode was killed by sega.

Anons, watch out. Hawken is probably going to be shilled here the closer it gets to the console release. But as a long time player I can tell you right now it's going to be total garbage.

It's increasingly obvious Hawken on consoles is just a desperate yet lazy cash grab.

Fuck NCsoft you korean gooks. If you listen to your fans for once you would gain more success.

They feel like two totally different games. Both are fucking great. Though you won't be able to play CH anymore since they stopped the server and there is no offline (there are 10 tutorial missions).

AC4 was great, but IMO ACFA (it's sequel) blows it away on all fronts.

MAV, like Chromehounds but for PC and whatnot. Still in dev, if you don't buy betas keep an eye on it. The online is a good time with other folks, campaign mode and story mode are coming too. Campaign and story being different in that Campaign will be a persistent war like the Neroimus war IIRC and Story is it's own deal. You can run the servers yourself and shit so it's nice to not be forced to rely on dev servers. I am still sour that CH got shut down.

I shill it for free. I take my job very seriously.

Maxi Boost ON for consoles and PC when?

soon™

PC or bust.

Bitches never played it above Normal difficulty.

...

You do know that the first ZOE was in development as far back as 1999/2000 now do you. And how is it shallow?.

Confirmed for never played.

I played it plenty, all you do is dodge and slash shit. You might as well be nevaned Dante, game wouldn't change. That's not what mecha game is.

And DMC wasn't the first action game with juggling too, doesn't matter.

Refer to my post about not playing it above Normal difficulty. None of that shit works past it, you actually have to choose your attacks carefully and use your subs to your advantage to your survive… not like you'd know that, scrub ass bitch.

How is not a mech game? Cause it doesn't have an absurd amount of customization? GTFO, please.

...

My gunota autism is tingling.
What kind of weapon is Char Aznable using on the killfeed? It kinda looks like a side view of the Gaza C beam guns.
I'm pretty sure that's the Zeta's Hyper Mega Launcher under it.

Also I just realized that Geara Doga is the Sleeves version. I fucking despise the cuff paint they employ, or rather, I fucking hate everything that came out of Unicorn except the Kshatriya.

I bought 3 after never playing any of the previous ones and it's really fun.

I can see how non-gundam fans could find it boring, as most of the appeal is tied in with the shows.

I think the key to it is to keep tinkering with your suits inbetween missions. If you think you've got a good one and stick with it for even a few missions in a row it can get a bit monotonous because of the dynasty warriors-tier combat.

You control Jehuty as you would control a character.
The point of mech game is to control a vehicle. Otherwise it's just an action game with robot skin.

Or would call megaman a mecha game too? Or phantasy star online? Even bladewolf dlc from MGR would be a mech game by that logic.

...

You are a fucking retard.

Mega Man is a 2D platformer, of course it's not a mech game.

So it's not a mech game because the controls are smooth… even though ascension/decension mechanics are pretty fucking mech like? The movement is nothing like DMC and makes sense in the context of a mech game.

A lot of Gundam games don't necessarily feel like you're controlling a vehicle cause they're casual as fuck… Zeonic Front is not the standard (yeah, I know wtf I'm talking about bitch), so are they are not mech games either?

Fuck off troll.

around the same time [email protected]/* */ gets an english release

So metal warriors and valken franchise aren't mecha games anymore?

That's true. Gundam musou is 100% not mecha game, it's a standard musou game with robot skin.

I can't into basic logic when you haven't refuted ANY of my points about ZOE? And I never said that about Valken or Metal Warriors… I don't even know that those are.

I reiterate, you're a fucking retard.

There we go

It's A boa Qu, it's not even a CCA map, there isn't any real post OYW maps except Torrington base from 0083, Torrington port from 0096

the Weapon he's using is the Zeong's wire guided hands, on the map when his health gets low the main body dies and it becomes the head like in the show, same for the feddie's ace, Amuro's gundam gets beaten up like in the show and loses it's head

I can't help it, the only time we've gotten any suits post OYW is sleeves variants, the only non-sleeves Geara Doga that exists is Rezin's Custom and I think the Heavy Armed type

I can list non-OYW shit Zeon has

The first transformable suits we got in MSGO were the Methuss and the Gaza-C, Zeta and Hyaku shiki are a pain in the butt

I miss when there were no gundam types or ace customs and it was OYW grunt slug fest

Here's what I got so far in game, all through earning shit, there are a fuck ton to list and most of them have custom paint jobs (sleeve variants don't get any)

Feds have a bit of an edge in terms of powerful suits, but I've been able to stay in mid to low gold ranks using pretty much these three decks (Swapping between the two ground decks and the one I use for space)

...

If mecha game has no feel of weight or inertia it's shit at being mecha game, this goes for both "realistic" and "fantasy" games. (but it could be good regular game). Discuss.

...

I have no why, but when people add this to the end of their posts it fucking enrages me.
It's like you're afraid nobody will reply to you so you have to encourage them.

Yes, I'm afraid. I killed 3 threads today with my posts.

A bit off-topic maybe but can someone explain to me how overlosd canceling, weapon slot firing (manual vs automatic) and the separate health bars eorked in Netmech?

Basically
If shit that you controls feels like a machine, slow, fast, ultrafast, no matter, game has succeeded at being mecha game.
If you feel like you're playing AS character on screen, not as somebody piloting it, then it's not a proper mecha game.

Ironically the only good thing about Fallout 4 is power armor control, you actually feel like you're operating a machine, small and mobile one, but not just your dude. I want this in a good game now.

you best not be joking
I've been looking for a private server for a long ass time

I could totally dig this if it involved limb damage in some way.
One of the best parts about robit games is how extreme you can get with the battle damage and the increased risk with each fight as you lose parts/functions.

Juro Watari talked a little about the fictional/hypothetical version of Virtual-On that appears in the Index crossover novel.

I can't read moon, but if machine translations are even a tiny bit trustworthy, he says it's basically Oratorio Tangram with no left turbo weapons and the option to play either 1v1 or 2v2. He also talks about those funky PDA/PSP looking things they carry around in the novel and how they double as the control systems for this fictional Virtual-On.

Now, I like my generic light novel shit like Index, but the first bits are the most interesting. Do you think this is how he'd design the next Virtual-On game? Do you think such a game would even come to exist, or is SEGA a shit? Would you even want it, or do the main three games differ enough from each other that a new game isn't really necessary?

You're the only one that thinks that

Not necessarily true. They ported Valkyria Chronicles to PC for some reason (best guess is it was a side effect of creating the PS4 HD version), so who knows.

user plz, it's not shallow but it's not really anywhere close to being deep.

yeah, it's a ton of fun. the controls are weird but it's probably one of the best modern mech games I've played. you can destroy everything in the maps (it's even encouraged) and the music is excellent too.

sega seems to be becoming a little more self-aware that porting to the PC will get them some sales. they've suggested a couple times in the past very subtly that they're looking at releasing yakuza on the PC, so we'll see

with the successes of way of the samurai, valkyria chronicles and dragon's dogma i would be really surprised if they didn't start ramping up porting their franchises to PC in the near future

...

Calm down, ps4fags are starving.

Never said it was extremely deep but you can't invalidate the gameplay by bringing up cheese tactics that every single game has.

Sounds like you didn't have much fun if you played like that. Also, the AI isn't completely braindead and I don't think those tactics will work on many bosses.

I love that in Pacific Rim the jaegers from different nations kind of fit their theme.

Are there any mecha games set in either a modern day or steampunk version of stereotypical high fantasy?
Would be cool to have orcs, dwarves and elves all making vastly different types of mecha to eradicate a worldwide dragon or giant menace then just turning them on each other.

Robot Alchemic Drive was & still is my jam

That is, to this day, still one of my favorite games. The controls were a little weird but man it was fun once you got used to them.

user plz, using most sub weapons are pretty much an "I win" button on any normal fight, so let me ask you this, who's actually cheesing between you who use sub weapons or me who just uses a standardized tactic that happen to work on most things?

Ardjet will throw herself into your surged melee for 50-90% of her life-bar, after 50% of her lifebar is gone you cannot chain as many attacks because she goes into her beam attack after 1-4 attacks not 100% sure it works as well the second time but it probably does, not sure it works above hard but it sure does work below hard

Nephtis is scripted is scripted gimmick central across all her battles.

Anubis you can actually hit a bunch of times even on hard on your first battle but most of em are scripted stuff so whatever.

Vic Viper works just fine like like normal encounters except you're better off just fleeing than boost attacking when he's in ship form

Inhert you can deal with like an oversized raptor in his first phase and after that it's back to gimmicks.

Zakat isn't even a credible threat to you.

That leaves the second to last Anubis fight which is actually somewhat of a threat and you actually need to pay attention to openings and how to deal with them, you can even bait him into a surged melee if you're very good but that's a bit too risky.

And the last Anubis fight is an oversized raptor with you having only 0 shift as a sub even though you don't really need it.

tl;dr: when it doesn't there's a more effective way except for 2 fights.

bump

vanilla ware?

embezzlement scandal killed it

All my mech games are ancient.

I want to try that nip gundam game but I can't into moon runes or proxies. I just want to Zaku.

How difficult was it for you to slide the rings onto the little tubes? My Char's Zaku II was a bitch with those parts.

They went on without hassle except for the last one and even then it wasn't much trouble.

However the plate between the hand and the wrist refuses to clip into the spot it's supposed to, you can see it really easily in that photo. It is just held in by the fact the hand is there.

...

...

There are guides and how to the /m/ group is White Piggu

Also set up is easier than say PSO2

Just no

I get about a latency of 189ms, combat is fine, melee might take a second to actually go through when you charge attack, but outside that it's playable

the proxy is needed because it's restricted to JP IPs only, which is good since it weeds out the shitters and americans looking for a F2P game to pollute

Not him, but from by Quake days I've learnt that anything above 150 is shit.

I can still play comfortably, no one warps around I think the only thing is it takes about a quarter of a second for my zook shots to go off, but sometimes I can place top 5 (Not often because I tend to use MP grunt suits)

3rd pic is me killing a known tripfag from /m/ who is a massive attentionwhore
Reposted because formatting errors

What do y'all think of Gigantic Army?

Half-/m/ of full-/m/?
If you still used half-/m/ in 2015 then I feel sorry for you, the board was already absolute shit at that point along with the rest of the site.

Is Metal Wolf Chaos a good mecha game?

And I thought ZOE2 was based more on mecha from anime which take place in space.

You're essentially talking about real robot and super robot, user.
ZoE is super robot, but things like Steel Battalion is real robot. They're both mech games, you just prefer a specific type of them.

Metal Wolf Chaos plays kinda like Armored Core without the mech customisation.
It's good, but the controls are a bit clunky; that's to be expected of a FromSoft game.

half /m/ is still fine, but it's starting to show signs of contamination

pic of current match, top 5 with a deck of Goufs

If you insult the new idolshit Macross you'll get fucking lambasted for it.
Mate, it's been pretty bad since early 2015. It held out a lot longer than most other boards on SJWchan, but it too fell.

I don't give enough of a shit for the new idolshit macross to shit it up, idol shit has been apart of macross yes, but it's not the forefront typically

outside Macross the board seems pretty much status quo for /m/

Hoo boy

I didn't say anything about Mechwarrior.

...

Welp time for feds to have more OP bullshit

msgo.bandainamco-ol.jp/event/tb/mobilesuit/

What are some good western mech games?. I like slow, big looking mechs best

Fallout 4.

I said good Todd.

Power Armor in F4 is better Mechwarrior game than Mechwarrior Online.
Not even joking,

Power armour is not mech though

U wot.

Its not perfect but its the closest Mecha game in recent times.
>tfw there needs to be more mech games

...

I'd be hella down if you're serious.

If this happened I'd be dropping 8ch's run of Global Agenda in a heartbeat. +1 for the cause.

I tried to play this game when my computer was shitty and internet was bad.
Now I have a beast.

please do so, OP.

And thats not even getting into the separate test groups and how the devs primarily tries to pick people who would circlejerk over their changes. The forums were selectively moderated and one of the designers had shit taste in vidya and openly tried to just slap pieces of more successful games onto Hawken. The maps were made up of a billion different assets, which is why the game ran like ass and why grenades were inconsistent (the floors were actually multiple different objects at different heights. That wasnt a texture or shading trick). They also couldnt manage to do proper collision- explosives hit through walls for a good 6 months and touching a wall or another mech would get you stuck to it. They didnt have a fucking clue as to how to balance the classes they had and continued to add gimmicky new ones, and even in beta a good chunk of the people who worked on the alpha (the only good version of the game) had already left. Also their publisher was just the same company with some employees in Washington State instead of California, and both went under at the exact same time

Anyone excited for Hawken at this point is probably a cuck, or just doesn't understand what a shitfest its been

...

I've been browsing all armored core games on psx-2 and holy shit there's a lot of them. Where should I start, which ones are bad?

None of them are bad, but the early ones have a weird control scheme that takes some getting used to. Last Raven was made for AC vets, so it's quite hard and probably not what you want to start with. You can transfer saves between related entries, so I'd recommend researching which ones are compatible with each other and starting with the earliest one of that set. Personally, I'd say start with 2 and work your way through in release order.

fond memories of that game

Russia and China had some shitty designs. Not to mention, they got no screen time.

And there is a game like that. It's called WH40K. Imperial and eldar titans.

If you're interested in MAV it's on sale right now for half price on the bombdogstudios site. He'll generate you a steam key if you buy it from his site and you want one but it's standalone otherwise.

Bless me rabbi for I have shilled.

Last time I heard of that game it was still in beta and not doing so good. How's it now, does it have good performance?

Thanks, downloading it now

Performance is much better than it was. He's currently optimizing performance and getting into new shit. If you want to see how it runs there's a demo so you can dick around before committing. To get to the demo you register an account on the bombdog site then download it from there. I think there's also a Steam demo if you're into Steam.

...

Have the weapons improved much? I remember playing the demo about 8 or so months ago and all of the weapons felt like peashooters.

Very much so. Plus he added the new sound system so they sound much better too. Better balance on them as well.

Pic relateds are on sale on Steam I think. I hear that 2 is really good for mech combat. Would anyone here recommend it?

GWFL

Lost Planet 2 and 3 are garbage. Only that special edition of the first one is actually good.

don't listen to
He's being half a faggot. Lost Planet 2 is great, but it's almost entirely designed around co-op. Not that it isn't fun solo, but many things in the game require more than one person to properly utilize. You can have AI partners, but they're almost useless for anything besides shooting.

Friendly advice, never try doing the campaign solo without any AI partners, that one pirate mission will destroy your shit.

You mean the special edition that got a billion complaints telling you to buy the normal edition because the special one got turbo fucked when Games for Windows Live went down?

I only played the normal one but I'm wary user.

Both the first and the second are okay games IMO. Third one is very much "I have limited time on Earth yet I decided to waste it playing this boring shit" tier. Wouldn't recommend even pirating it.

Im talking about the console edition.

Here, made an example video on the previously LEAST playable level. I can't encode webms for shit on account of being retarded, just couldn't get this under 8 megs.

Well shit, that actually looks vaguely enjoyable now.

Yeah, I'm enjoying it. The new bots are actually pretty difficult, they range from easy which was the old AI to insane which is incredibly difficult. Anything else you want to see? I could use some other weapons and showcase something else if anyone is interested.

Nah, fuck it - I may as well just take the plunge and buy it now.

Awesome. If you develop a mighty passion for the game the Dev does reply on the forums religiously and actually gives a shit about what people have to say. He also comes here from time to time.

Steam forums though? Complete fucking cesspool, abandon all hope ye who enter there.

that's the hud, an empty screen? I only see a smaller screen (?) and the weapons cooldowns. Mech games are for inmersion, you might as well be playing as a very clumsy guy with a fuckton of weapons on his back

The screen in the upper right is the weapons cam. You can play with your part health constantly visible and I didn't use the map in the video.

If you were into Chromehounds it's a very faithful reproduction.

this shit still alive?
haven't seen that since 2011

There was C21 Steel Battle Chronicles, which was an MMO that got canceled after the Open Beta.

It wasn't very good, but I had a lot of fun playing it. Sadly my incompetence hasn't let me make the game run again, due to the fact that it relied on servers.

Dunno if I'll ever get to play it again, but I really liked it.

who HIGH-MACS here

Checked it out.

Pretty good, I think. Can't understand a bit of moon, though.

Any good mech games on Steam? Big sale on, might get some for cheap.

Armored Core…oh wait.

The only one I know that is on Steam is Strike Suit Zero.

Come on, man, you know as well as I do SSZ isn't a real mech game.

It's not even a mecha game. Don't get me wrong I like this game but calling it mecha is just wrong.

Plus, all it does it make you want a new Omega Boost.

hey op, where's the private server?

"Why are you in control of something so horrible? A ROBOT KILLED GRANDMA!"

Ahh… How I miss bad voice acting.

It's a shill thread, folks.

I'm going to dump Armored Core until someone converts. I just wish From would get off their Soulsborne train for a minute and make an AC6 already.

Don't care. Coopted for Mecha general. Everyone knows Hawken is trash.

Enjoy friends.

Had a non-AC sneak in the last one. Oh well.

I'm convinced they're doing it on purpose now.

Slowly running out.

But not out just yet.

Nevermind, I lied. I'm definitely out. Oh well. Enjoy.

Thanks nigger, saved all of them.

Also you guys were right, Armored Core 4 and 4A are fucking top notch. Currently fucking around with a quad-legged heavyweight with big-ass sniper cannons in For Answer. Mechs with 4 legs are fucking rad

dual wielding shields in a CTF match was great. thats all i remember about exteel

Anyone here who remembers the Earthsiege games is officially my nigga.

Lost Planet 2 looks fun but anyone looking at these two and start thinking of Lost Planet 3, stay the fuck away from that pile of trash.

Hopefully when they bother, they won't make it such an online focused game like ACV was.

You pray to false gods, heretic.

Anyone ever learned pic related and can answer if it makes controlling ACs easier or is it just Japan being a bunch of stupid weird fucks?

To be fair, lost planet MP consists of who can spam crouch the fastest while firing their machine gun

Any vidya that recreates the super robot genre well? I want something that will let me use the powers of GAR against my enemies.

The robot gods MUST be listening. They sent us MAV after all.

more like its a fantastic game so people are going to want to talk about it but you would rather play something gay like mech warrior so you desperately try to convince everyone else its just shills

why not just play Super Robot Wars?

Hawken is trash, you're talking to someone who played back in the early days when there was like only 2 maps

I would prefer an action game

any good mods for mech warrior 3 or 4?

its bearable
I have no one to play missions with ;_;

Hawken was maybe good at one point in time.
Then the devs dropped the ball something fierce, and it has been shit ever since.

On that note, Young's Modulus is an interesting mech game which the anons in this thread might enjoy. I would enjoy it too but I somehow lost my joystick.

Gundam Breaker then, still SRW AG is the best one out there, good difficulty, good roster, good animations and sound

literally scraps that entry level mecha fans leech off

So are those translation projects ever going to finish?

theres project nimbus on steam.

There are a few games translated

@G is one of the 100% finished ones

Already played them i'm still waiting on the others.

I'm on my 10th or so play through of @G

stop crying, I'm also playing SRW BX untranslated while putting my shit nihongo knowledge to use

I picked up an armored core a year back when I had some money floating about. Figured "Hey, I loved those games and I lost all my old games in the fire so maybe the new ones will be fun!"

I picked up AC Verdict Day

I have not been able to understand what I am or am not doing right since. I go to fight the guys in the first mission and get fucking rekt by miniguns and shields.

I know I'll probably git gud again if I get back in and try to stick with it, but the whole game just feels so different from Master of Arena or Project Phantasma

Hawken was an OK game that got shilled the fuck out by the same shitty outlets that later on became the center of the whole controversy that spurned gamergate

Then it got abandoned, I remember trying it in 2013 and it already barely got any updates, the optimization was shit and even my highend rig would get superhot running this

Overall it was one big ass disappointment

Yeah pretty much

I remember watching Sony's E3 conference and hearing one of the guys say that their only excuse for having never played Hawken was that it wasn't on the PS4.

I'd want any super robot mecha game so long as it's not just beam spam.

Anyone hyped for this?

There's a Mazinger Z game on the SNES, side scrolling beat em up, played it and it was ok

I'm going to miss toei Mazinger in SRW, same with TV getter

All these (1)s…. Hey guys, how much are you paid for this? You don't do this for free, right?

I'm glad to hear someone got some use out of that dump, and that you're enjoying 4A.

Protip though; Almost everything is OP in the right situations. Try using everything in a couple combinations. Small differences are accounted for, including sword animations based on leg types. AND KEEP YOUR EN COST AS LOW AS POSSIBLE.

I agree entirely. AC4A's best aspect is the challenge it provides in single player while also feeling competitive in multiplayer. However, its online was never particularly good, so I only ever did local multiplayer. My friends never got gud, so it was never fun.

I just lurk and post when I find a thread that interests me.

In this case, I'd forgotten how much I wanted a good mecha game until now.

I started trying to play Verdict Day again and I think I have a bit more of an idea what I'm doing now maybe. Turns out the unit I'd built was almost entirely TE Defense based so I was getting fucking rekt by anything using physical weaponry.

Mechwarrior 5 and what happened after that trailer killed my capacity for getting hype about anything BT. I know, that point should have been reached with Mechassault but nope, I believed the consoletards meme. It wasn't right. The consoles weren't at fault. It was the cancer that grows with mainstream acceptance of a hobby, step by step corrupting everything until nothing but shit remains.
There's just one faint hope left:
VR is expensive.
VR makes you look dumb to onlookers.
VR will be niche. Like vidya was in the golden age.
And last but not least, VR is a perfect fit for cockpit vidya while making Cawwadootards puke. It's literal immunity against at least one the biggest cancers in existence.
There's not much hope left in me but this one still remains. Just not for BT. Something like it, but not BT. I've went through the stages of grief and reached acceptance. It's dead.

The game in the OP doesn't even have active servers anymore, why would a company pay somebody to shill for a game they're not even supporting anymore?

Next-Gen Steel Battalion with ultra-rad controller when?

Powering up the mech was the most fun part of the game.

Someone should mod the controller to work with something like Mechwarrior.

About old AC games - I played AC2AA and AC3 when they came out. Are AC2 and all the other games in the 3 series worth playing or are any of them skippable?

I really need to get one of these. Hopefully there will still be plenty on ebay by the time I get the money

was made by the guys who did Gunhound, so I'm pretty stoked

someone should hook that up to work in elite dangerous, and maybe throw in a wheel for dat extra Megas XLR feel like pic related

It probably wouldn't come out right anyways.
Now what we need is a Mazingolfer game.

We could instead include Mazingolfer in that kart racer that features Heero in a stolen ambulance.

But that's not finished yet, and it's still really rough around the edges.

Oi! I can't get SRW Alpha Gaiden to run right on my PSX emulator, it runs but the sound is fucked on voice and SFX and my inputs don't worked. Help?

They did that shit 2 years ago.

lemme upload my copy, the ISO may have been fucked when patched

god Mazing golfer always makes me giggle

Thanks man

Aw shit, Leynos was the beginning of it all.
You know Valken, Gun Hazard, Gigantic Army, Gunhound all that shit.
And now it seems to make glorious return, paint me hyped.

Besides Leynos what're some upcoming mecha games

Project Nimbus.
But it doesn't use ground, so mechs could as well be jets, like in those Strike Suit games.

Heavy Gear looks better and better, but there is no saying when it's out.

Dual Gear.
But it looks too good to be tr…
Might as well actually try it.

Some new SRW, don't remember a name.

Maybe some Gundam game, they're always being produced.

Oh never mind, it isn't.
As I was saying - game looks to ambitious to be pulled off by some indie team, don't expect much out of it.

I want a remastered mechwarrior 3, that game was crazy in the customization you could do

It is out, check the steam page or the game's wbesite.

What's Heavy Gear?

Nah. I'd love to run missions from a hovercarrier again but that won't happen. Fuck MP, I'm only interested in a good SP campaign.

They said there will be a SP campaign.

Fuck you're right, time to give it a roll.

Tested the converted Eboot, it works if it fucks up on your end, check the ePSXe's settings

also most of the plugins fuck up in rendering the units in the overworld

uploading now hang tight

What game is that? It doesn't look like nimbus

mega.nz/#!vkEV3BAI!uMOlgeejgI2X_BeBOcZkB1vr7pcQ45rpvAmeobCo6FY

there it is

That's Dual Gear.
I'm DLing demo right fucking now.
Supposedly it's a mix of Front Mission and Valkyria Chronicles with Armored Core's design all over it.
Sounds good on paper.

First time I hear that, guess it's back on my radar now.

I just played the demo, and it's rather clunky, it does feel alot like valkyria chronicles, but the (hopefully) placeholder music that plays after the tutorial is painfully annoying and doesn't make it fun.
Cool animations though

You kidding? The long unskippable animations are the worst part. It's Firaxcom 2 all over again

What is even the fucking point then?
Do you turn off animations in SRW games too?
Why are you even playing them at all?

Long ass animations in turn based tactics games do not work at all. For the first 10 times it's cool but otherwise it's grating.

I'd be more receptive to it if I can skip the fluff like the posing animations on demand.

What is the appeal of turn based game to you then?
To choose lines from menus and watch digits go up and down?
I play these games specifically for animations.

The tactics part of it?

Shit man you've got some weird tastes. Still I can't deny I did have some fun with Dual Gear regardless.

Ehh, not so sure about that.
It's not really about tactics when mission keeps dropping enemies on your ass or some some other bullshit like that duel stage in FFT.
They're more about stats really.

For actual tactics I'd rather play some real-time squad based game like Mechcommander or Satellite Reign.

Is Brigador mecha?

I was more or less thinking XCOM or Jagged Alliance
Satellite Reign is p cool so at least we can agree on that

Depends on your definition of Mecha.
Of fucking course it is

you sound like a faggot who plays with them off and just is left with the HIT or MISS

Thanks again man, I'll try it. Have a webm for your troubles.

who front mission here?

re: dual gear animations

I like them but they are really long and I'd like the option to be able to skip them

doesn't help that the first time I played the demo I was below minimum spec so they took a lot longer than they usually do

I really need to find a copy

I think that FM3 has the best OST from the entire franchise.
But that might be just my nostalgia

mech is drek

I found it crazy that the designs in that game are similar to Supreme Commander yet none of the developers are shared.

Just finished playing MSG4, and the whole Rex section has me wanting to pilot more mechs.

Is there a recommended chart or something for mech games? I kinda want a game where you're a plodding vehicle of death, but I wouldn't mind a faster kind of game.

There is ancient one.
It's also polluted by shmups and jrpgs so I won't even post it.

yo you know what

I'ma emulate the PS2 G-Saviour game and see how it is

Hell yes I am.

well…sekai project is localizing the first two games.

I know that's not going to make a lot of people happy.

Yes

Do it.

TTGL is barely a mecha.
Shit they "pilot" in there are borderline monsters, more so than in NGE.

Did you read a fucking Getter? You better do it if you like TTGL so much.

This game had so much potential, why oh fuck why did they have to buy into a useless gimmick?
