Where would an American communist society most likely emerge?

Where would an American communist society most likely emerge?

My money's on Washington and Oregon.

Northwest, definitely

Vermont

There's a really high chance it could happen in subrural, wealthier areas like the Pacific Northwest and upper New England where there's a long history of far left sentiment.

Puerto Rico could go socialist.

These comrades get it

Yep. It would have to be an industrialized region with ample water and land suited to food producton. The PacNW fits the bill perfectly.

Definitely in the Northwest. Possibly in the more working class/poor population centers around the Mid-Atlantic and Rust Belt.

It also doesn't hurt that the NW has a bit of red history to harken back to.

The Deep South is a possibility, due to the waning influence of Cold War-era lassez faire ideology and the destitute conditions of that era. If Huey Long could sell almost-socialism to poor Protestant Louisianans, I don't see why another politician could not do the same elsewhere.

Pic related is a really remarkably in-depth look at grassroots, mostly African American CPUSA activity among the Alabama poor. Every single socialist should read Hammer and Hoe.

If they weren't so classcucked I'd say the Appalachias would be a great place to organize.

Rockies

The Rust Belt, most definitely. Massive industrial decay, used to be the most Socialist area of the country.

Whoops, didn't mean to namefag.

lel

Appalachia isn't classcucked that much

They're just racist

Truly amazing

While still very far away from "full communism" I've watched my state, Kansas, become pretty class conscious over the last 6 years. To the point where the Republican supermajority in the state-legislature may be booted out and replaced with a fairly class-based yet still somewhat neo-lib Democratic Party (relatively speaking of course.)

Rust belt, easy

Northwest or Northeast. Other parts of the country too obsessed with racism.

I feel like the Northeast is far too bourgeois. Manhattan would turn into an inverse Escape from New York situation.

It was brought here shortly after the Soviet Union collapsed. I still remember the controvery about it. It is in a neighborhood called Freemont which is a generally fun place with a shitload of microbreweries and themed restaurants.

When I played Shattered Union I picked the Pacific Northwest, so there.

Interesting…

You in JoCo?

texas

...

This may not be as ridiculous as it seems at first glance.

The Rocky mountains or the Appalachian Mountians.

...

Honestly it's more likely to devolve into a libertarian/sovereign citizen hellscape.

That is only true if you think that their ideology will prevent them from doing what is a practical necessity. Trying to maintain private property is going to immediately result in a collapse of their favored system. They will need to react to the fatal contradiction built into ancap/libertard bullshit and do what they can to survive.

Cascadian violent revolution when?

As soon as we can get out of I-5 traffic.

Isn't that true for every area under capitalist rule? The region could experience all the joys of unfettered capitalism for decades. We just don't know the life expectancy of that kind of society or how strong the fiefdoms of individual capitalists will be. I just don't think it's the most likely place we'll see a socialist experiment rise out of.

...

racist = classcucked

IIRC there was a statue of Lenin near Wall Street that was recently removed

proof that wallstreet is part of the socialist jewish conspiracy tbh

No. Ancapism has a fatal contradiction built right into the basic premise: private land ownership in the absence of a central authority. It would collapse immediately before it even managed to get effectively instituted. It would not last weeks, let alone decades.

New England.

Most leftists live there.

It also has based wether.

Appalachia
I hope

TBH right-libertarianism is the only good kind of accelerationism

It shakes up the status quo (allowing for certain ideas to be less taboo) and allows for an easier revolution
