Wildstar Bombs Again

Jesus christ, all you need is a meme game to be popular

...

I watched a youtube video to see what this game is all about over a year ago and had to stop when a voice over said "F**K YEAH YOU LEVEL UP", censors included. even Borderlands wasn't that bad.

What's so bad about it? Thought the universe looked cool but I hate MMOs.

Or not.

...

I'm surprised, I thought they had thousands of players stuck in matchmaking.

the vast majority of Steam accounts do not play games.

Now this is funny. Poor Battleborn.

Someone is sure to post the screenshots, but the devs got some complaints about the the sexualization of certain races so they gave all the girls breast reductions among other things. When everyone complained the devs responded that the vocal minority was more important.

Holy shit it's not even in the top 100 top kek.

i'm having fun with it

...

Didn't they change that in another update and brought it back?

Is there any rule 34 of the weird lanky elf character? Asking for no particular reason.

Because it's not popular, any porn of it will be really badly drawn.

...

which one? I'm really struggling to find anything that is a weird lanky elf character at all.

Fucking American Truck Simulator has more players than Battleborn, user.

I shit you not; at least when I checked last night.

This is largely nonsense because as says, they added sliders.

W* is one of those rare games where you can make characters with huge tits and ass if you want to. Or surfboards, if that's your thing.

The only good thing about Wildstar is that its not Firefall

I feel so sorry for them. It's not a bad game, it's actually one of the few MMOs that I legitimately enjoyed that improves on the WoW formula.

They got mixed up in the whole SJW pandering, they released the game still unoptimized, and they took ages to fix shit. These guys just can't get a break.

It really needed a better sense of humor. And better writing in general. The whole game reeks of trying too hard to be hip and cool, like Borderlands tried.

The SJW stuff didn't kill them, user.

Catering to the raiding crowd and trying to charge $15/mo did.

Being under NCSoft didn't help, either.

Carbine itself apparently also was a hellish place to work if the Glassdoor reviews are to be believed.

I think it was a combination of everything. Pandering and getting a bad rep certainly didn't help.

You're probably the only dude who didn't play the game pandering. If it's a good game, it doesn't matter.

But it's not. And that's the problem.

I gave it a go shortly before it came on steam and while some parts of the combat were enjoyable it just played like yet another everquest/wow clone.
I was bored by the time I hit the second leveling zone.

Oh, I see. That's not good. Not at all.

Those meme truck games are really popular for some reason.
I think a lot of streamers play it but I don't know why.
The shills say it's comfy but it's just a buzzword at this point.

mgs

you play as a

snek XDF

I want to try this MMO but can someone tell me what wrong with game?

you play as a snek

No, the deal was they HAD sliders and took them out. There were some clipping issues, but they also Blizzard-style responded to butthurt tumblrtards on the forums. However the game does let you have big tiddies so, again like Blizzard, I think it was just weird forum pandering.

Been on and off playing it recently, hit 50 on a warrrior a week or two ago. You'll probably find the level up blurbs annoying, and if you like PVP that portion is probably still dead. However if you're into PVE content and are willing to join up with a guild it's not bad. The primary issue is a lack of content, which is a teamsize and time issue, and carbine lost most of its team when the game stumbled hard after launch. Hopefully they fix that, because instanced content is 99% of the reason why anyone would play the game. Questing is inoffensive and I managed to hit max level in a week or two of sporadic, fairly casual play (binged a bit on weekends but that was about it)

From what I've heard the issue at that point was going from 50 to proper raiding. There was a hugeass attunements portion of the game that they cut out a good 50% or so of, so now you just grab not-XP and run dungeons with friends when you get bored of whatever the most efficient farming method is now.

Oh and the game is unoptimized as fuck. 20fps in the capital during primetime is fine, but out in the middle of buttfuck nowhere I should be getting 100+FPS on my rig and instead I struggle to keep 60 on the lowest settings. It doesnt make that much of a difference gameplay-wise because, telegraphs and dodging or no, it's still a fucking MMO, but still

I really really liked the animation & character design. I only played during the beta though.

sorry man, I made these in like May 2014

...

it's really gross

...

cool buzzword, goon

...

the fuck is the point of this thread?
OP trying to score points by pandering to what he perceives as the "Holla Forums hivemind"?

literally 2 posts total from OP
fuck you people

Why didnt they make it a coop action RPG like Phantasy Star? Why did anyone think it should be an MMO?

...

nice buzzword, reddit fag

Which one would win in a fight, a Draken or a Charr?

...

Don't knock it till you've tried it.

Drop the meme game bullshit and play it sometime. It's certainly not something worth streaming, because it's pretty damn boring to watch. Fun to play though.

great buzzword /s4s/ fag

Euro Truck Sim 2 is extremely comfy. I was skeptical too but then I played it.

American Truck Sim on the other hand is shit, and that's why it still having more players than Battleborn is hilarious.

Meanwhile, there's so many beautiful games that are neglected.

I wish the entire Wildstar team had been as competent as the dungeon/raid team. 5 mans were good/great, silver and gold medals hard mode 5 mans were pure bliss. Why was that? Shit was hard, like crazy hard. There's such a huge sense of feeling rewarded when you completed silver/gold hard mode 5 man stuff in Wildstar, was like WoW's TBC 5 man heroics. And it wasn't just gear checks, the fights were mechanically difficult, chaotic and had personal responsibility.

The 20 man raid was surprisingly decent, too. The fights were all fairly good and somewhat difficult, and again with the ever important personal accountability being through the roof, which is very important in raiding. The few fights I did in 40 man were soul crushingly difficult, which was also great; it showed that the 20 man content was introductory and that the 40 man content was meant to be the meat and potatoes of the first tier of raiding in Wildstar.

And then there was everything else. Adventures? Laughable content. Raid attunement? One of the worst decisions in Wildstar. 40 man raiding? THE worst decision in Wildstar (hello logistic nightmare). Questing? PvP? Leveling content? Crafting system? All shit. Shit, shit, shit. Wildstar could've been great for the hardcore crowd if the rest of the game hadn't been so bad.

...

I wish Wildstar, it's dev team and the remaining players would die a painful death for being shit.
