the point is that you have one side that says USA and one side that says Japan. Why is the Japanese version in english? It seems like it's an actual cartridge because it's playing in a DS or whatever, so it's hard for me to believe it's a fan translation (since those are usually on emulators from my understanding). Did the Japanese version release with english as well? I doubt it. If it did they would have used it for the USA too.

Even if you don't understand moonrunes, you would clearly be able to understand the point of the video just by watching the side by side and seeing one without dialogue and one with lots of it. So my question still stands, if that right hand version is the one from Japan, why is it displaying in the english language?

That is some pretty incredible autism. I think it is amazing that a game like Mario 64 could make such a good platform for stuff like this.
