The new design for the other teacher however doesn't fit her role. It fits her role where she tries to sneak around and blend in with society by wearing very attention grabbing clothing (that she thinks looks casual). The MC points out that her outfit obviously makes her stick out and look like a prostitute. Meanwhile her normal uniform could still make her pass off as a nurse if she just buttoned up the lab coat. The fishnet stockings doesn't seem like something a nurse would be allowed to wear. Makes me wonder what the lewd reporter will look like.

We're talking about an extremely regimented society where work and school are life, and “free time” doesn't exist.
Kids go to school 8 hours a day and spend their evenings in cram school, all working towards the inevitable goal of a job that they will pour themselves into with an on average 70 hour work week. Coupled with the fact that Japan has the 3rd highest suicide rate of any developed nation paints a pretty clear picture of why anime is so shit.
Anime is extremely unrealistic and exciting for a reason. It's made for the sole purpose of escapism.

RIP Ryu. It's a real shame Yuzo Koshiro is like one of the only few people who still does MIDI music. And even then the last few EO games didn't have a PC-88 version. EO4 was supposed to have one and it was canceled. And thanks for the interview. Yuzo Koshiro is one of my favorite artists in general.

I hate the idea of remaking YU-NO's music as covers without meaningfully reinterpreting the OST (doujin musicians have been rearranging Umemoto's music in a variety of ways for years), but please do not dismiss Keishi Yonao just because he got attached to a cop-out remake. He was a contemporary of Umemoto's and proficient in FM synth, then and now. It's a shame he only gets VN work these days. I can link you to more of his FM synth work, dating back to the MSX2 and X68000 (Psycho World, Mad Stalker, &c.).

If anything they could have gotten Ryu Takami to work on the project, but it seems the publishers/development studio doesn't care enough about making this version of YU-NO's soundtrack distinct with modern sequencing/live arrangement. Koshiro's wise to stick with EO and his sister's projects, plus sideshows like Cosmic Cavern 3671.
