Just search torrentz.eu for shit like "SNES ROMs" or "MAME ROMs". When getting MAME shit, make sure your version of MAME is compatible with that ROM collection, preferably bundled with it.

Literally none of this is true. I've been using Win10 exclusively to test every claim made about it here. Xbone controller doesn't really work with Win10, but regular 360 does. Otherwise everything but hfapplocale has been compatible with Win10. I personally used the DestroyW10Spying and another 3rd party party program to double up on removing any spyware from Microsoft. After using shark wire and testing various situations of idling I haven't found any traces of out going or incoming packets. I also have no idea where this notion you can only install from the app store originated because it is completely false.

I use Win10, its shit like most windows but i stopped giving a fuck years ago, im too retarded to get into Linux. Performance is ok i guess i don´t find differences with my old pirated Win 7 (but i do miss it a little), PCSX2, Dolphin, Bsnes etc all work fine, i have yet to try old games on DOSBox, i also don´t have problems pirating stuff but im in South America so i don´t think anyone gives a fuck about piracy here
The store is of course shit, the free games (Killer Instinct, Forza) are alright but way jewed up, its also true that it has way too much shit running in the background, i disabled most of it but theres some stuff i can´t disable/uninstall

Another thread, another time to post my 2 cents…

In all honesty, Windows 10 is great for games- its fast, fluid and works well wit most of my older games, from Battlefield: Vietnam to Battlezone 1998 (pre re-release version on Steam). IN SAYING THAT- Windows 10 is only on my Gaming rig, anything I have that I need to do "real" work on or have personal information on is on a seperate computer running Tails as its OS, So as to keep work and play completely is played from one another.

I know three are plenty of rumours and half-truths told by Microsoft and those against Windows 10, but if you have the resources and money to have 2 completely separate PCs than that is the best option.

I wouldn't advocate for dual-booting Win 10 and Tails for fear that Windows would do something to either Boot Sequence to make them insecure.

I was going to ask: "Can you pirate games on Windows 10?"
But then I remembered where I am & knew I'd only receive a bunch of lies.

There were some things in the licensing of certain apps that spoke of the removal of pirated content, but of course only if you used those apps would it be applicable. Most people on pirated Windows do not use the app store at all.

So to answer my own query I simply searched a torrent site for a win10 exclusive game & of course Quantum Break is able to be pirated. I also see the cheeky devs did the same thing that they did for Alan Wake because there's an "eye patch removal" hack in the torrent search results as well.

I would suggest that you don't get information about Windows 10 from anywhere infested with GNUtards because they will tell you not to use any Windows at all, exaggerate, lie, etc.

That said, it is still best to play it safe. Disable Windows updates, secure system with trustworthy AV/FW, & use Peerblock to block IP ranges from Microsoft & other dubious sources. Better yet, if your router has good firmware you can block IP ranges in the router itself with zero possible workarounds for potential "spyware" to access said IP ranges.

If you kill telemetry, disable updates, block IP ranges, it should be perfectly usable. Fear mongers will say it's never enough & just use GNU+communism, but they are just desperate for market share gains that are absolutely never happening & gaming will continue to reflect that.

Here's my future plan for my setup.

All I need now is a decent USB only KVM switch so that I can use my KB and Mouse on both PCs.

This is mostly due to microsoft modifying the shutdown process.
Normally when you shutdown, say, windows XP or Vista, or 7, the system unloads the operating system and powers off.
In win8.1/10, this changes, instead it will save a hibernation image to load on the next boot, saving a huge amount of time.
My old as fuck netbook designed for winXP boots in around 7 seconds if it loads a hibernation image, and that's with having to load whatever applications I was running pre-hibernate.
win8.1/10 first log out the user, before saving a hibernation image, this ensures there's no user applications that need to load to shave off as much time on the wake-up event as possible
Need validation on this? Well obviously I don't have the source code for the shutdown procedure, but it should be easily deduced first hand.
Remember how using F8 would prevent windows from starting immediately, and allow you to access safe mode? Well you can't do that any more. First you have to access a hidden menu by shift clicking the shutdown icon, and schedule the system to use safe mode on the next system boot. Microsoft's official reason for this, is that "the system boots too fast to recognize the key press", well that seems highly unlikely.

And if the privacy policy for windows 10 isn't enough to deter you, or the fact that you will be grandfathered into any new privacy policy without your consent as has already happened to users switching to w10, or the lack of drivers, or lack of games, or the fact that microsoft has been aggressively pushing w10 so hard that they changed the [X] button's function on the upgrade adware to accept the upgrade to further inflate their market share, then you are clearly hopeless.
Fuck just use ANYTHING but windows 10.

Get a router that can have something like DD-WRT installed. Then set rules to prevent known MS ad-bullshit ip ranges from reaching your PC or going out to them.

it's designed to only be half complete while the rest of it is in Microsoft's servers oh and Cortana, this way you can't function without the Win 10 always being online and by forcing you to always be online they can do the monitoring bullshit and other Cortana bullshti but the most important aspect is this; monthly service fees or worse since you need their server to function they can charge you whatever they want and that's the plan.
