Sonic Boom wasn't even supposed to be on the Wii U, but Sega did that exclusively deal and BRB had to rush to try to get it to work. It didn't help that the Wii U didn't even have official support for CryEngine.

I'd say it has to at least be half and half, even Sonic Lost World wasn't as bad as that, and other Sega published games rarely turn out that bad.

Way back when, it wasn't about "not being completely bored" but rather who had the best games to get people exited with. As well as give you a reason to own their console/platform if you've yet to get one.

To be fair, the PC conference had Bannerlord gameplay and going on pure gameplay it looks to be far better than anything else shown at E3.

Though I did find Sony's to be more of an entertaining conference, there might have been one or two games with decent looking gameplay but it was mainly entertaining for the garbage games they showed like the God of War TLoU edition reboot or the YOUR CHOICES MATTER one.

Bloodborne, Horizon Dawn, God of War, The Last Guardian, Crash Bandicoot, KH3.

Those six are pretty much 100% guaranteed to stay on the PS4. Bloodborne MIGHT get a PC port one day if someone answers my prayers because even though I have a PS4 I still want a port, but the others aren't going to in any near future, unless I'm missing something.

Plus, a lot of games look like they're going to have VR modes exclusive to the PS4. If RE7's VR mode is only on PS4 then I'm going to get RE7 for the PS4 (as well as PC because I'm a huge faggot who is obsessed with the series). Same for FF XV. That said, if I get confirmation of VR support on PC then I'll just get PC copies.

I know Death Stranding is coming to PC. I'll probably be getting it for PC unless there's a really good exclusive feature for PS4. But the thing my dick is actually hard about is The Last Guardian. This pretty much amounts to a dust covered WiiU and a moderately used Xbone/PS4 right now. I normally don't feel much during E3, but you have to understand man that the shit they announced was my wet dream of a list. I wanted a new Resident Evil, a solid release date for TLG, a Kojima game, and something to do with Crash. They literally gave me everything on the list. And some of their other shit looked pretty decent, for what that's worth. Days Gone actually looks fun.

As for Xbox fanboying, I was really into the Dreamcast back in the day, and I always saw the Xbox as a continuation of the Dreamcast. So I clung to it as a sequel to my childhood favorite console. I realize I was retarded for that now. I regret owning an Xbone.

Yeah the only game I'm worried about not ever coming to pee cee is NieR 2. I don't really like the gameplay that has been shown of TLG, and I've already had the privilege of playing through Bloodborne a couple times when I lived with a roommate that had a PS4 (and it doesn't have nearly as much replay value as any of the other games, other than that it was very good).

But I fully expect PC ports of SK:EV and we just got Oneechanbara, which ends the list of PS4 exclusives that I think are or will be good.

Well duh, but you are getting that money in return for artificially restricting your market. It's not like Sony or Microsoft approaches them, says, "Hey, here's some money to make your game the best it can be. Release it on whatever platform you like." and then the developer decides to only release it on PS4/XB1 because they think that will result in the best game.

I don't like their games anymore, but Blizzard is an example of the same sort of process ("we have unlimited money, now just make this thing work well on release") on PC. PC exclusives that are more polished in their closed betas than most games are years after release.

If consoles were an open platform in the sense PCs are (no one owns the platform as a whole), you'd see way less exclusives. Same goes the other way around, and in fact we DID see more PC exclusives when Microsoft was putting its money into PC before they decided to make the Xbox.

a worthy risk at times, PC market is small, inconsistent. Some games sell 10,000 units, some sell less than a thousand, some sell hundreds of thousands or even millions. Hard to say if one game will be a hit, or one will tarnish your reputation because of some issue that happened that causes someones PC to be bricked.

PC requires more testing, you get buggier products regardless, and the sales are not as consistent as consoles. Even niche games on handhelds sell better than on PC. It's not a reliable market, so it's a small risk to have your game never get released on PC.
