I'm in the military. They paid for my education, which I otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford without loans. My parents have debts that will already last most of my life, if I had to take out student loans then my grandchildren would have been in debt from birth to the same "people" my parents are in debt to. You could put it that way. There used to be a youtuber called MainePrepper. The guy had been some kind of operator and a civil affairs guy. Most of his audience considered him conservative, but the guy was always talking truth about who is really stealing from people. I'm not sure he was even aware of it, but a lot of the shit he said was very class conscious. There's a lot of guys like that in the military.

Both my parents came from the military. Both of them had military families. In the navy they both did nothing that private sector couldn't have done (mainly medical stuff). They got out and told me not to join because it sucks ass. Both of them are pretty class conscious. I think the meme that all military people are jughead flag waving nimrods is as dangerous as believing that everyone in the military is a warhero.
